Hi I have saved a cold and dark situation. If i load the situation and i engage the fuelpumps the engines are running up without a ignition sequence and the conditionlever are in TAXI position. Whats wrong?

Hi guys,Just a little something I came across when trying to create realistic flight plans for the J41 in European airspace.Its the Eurocontrol EAD Basic applicationhttp://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/publicuser/...ic/pu/login.jspYou need to register but it contains all the european countries AIP, including Route Availability Documents(RAD) and Standard Route Documents for the UK.Just follow link, register and go to "Enter Applications", "PAMS light(AIP)".Really simple to use and full of up to date charts etc...Sorry if this has been covered before but I was so excited I nearly wet myself!Have fun.Dan.

That's right fixed! First I like to thank Ryan Maziarz and Paul Gollnick and also Al Jordan (jordanal) for all their help and support in trying to find and fix the problem, even providing me a new download link on the chance of a bad download! All of these though didn't work! Then I did some research on other reported problems and came across a registry repair tool for FSX (and FS2004) by Flight1. It says it fixes the path for FSX in the registry which sometimes is invalid, causing addon not to install. Well my FSX always reported the correct path, and was also correct in the registry, and I never have had any issue installing an addon before, so I wasn't going to run it.…

Hi,I just purchased the PMDG 747 and I've been trying to get to know the cockpit and I don't know if its me or the aircraft but when I try to switch a button it only goes left or down. For example, on the autopilot altitude hold I can not increase that number it only goes down. Same with vertical speed, heading, and auto throttle. When I try to move a nob to the right it only goes left. For example, I can only turn the APU to off and once its on off I can not move it again. Is there a setting to change this?-Tom

I was wondering how do you choose what flex temp to use when aircraft is not fully loaded. Is there some sort of chart to determine it or does it involve some complicated maths? I know that Boeings have derated thrust options in FMC but Airbus and MD11 doesn't, you have to enter flex temp. So how do you decide what should it be?Greg

PMDG, I do apologize for using the forum here for a question I sent via email direct to your customer support. I am not sure if you attempted to send me a response to my email address concerning a request to re-activate my download copy (activations ran out). I know that certain emails like yahoo, gmail, etc. tend to pose problems when sending a response back. Again, I really apologize and embrace the JS41 for what you all have done to create an aircraft simulation so in depth (just like your 747 and MD-11) but I don't know what to do to get myself flying again without having to re-activate the software.Respectfully,Andrew Z.

I had taken off and intercepted the NAV path in the tutorial last night then had to save the situation when at cruise and have since quit FSX, Upon re-loading FSX and the saved situation, everything was perefct other the the FMC was turned off (this may be a part of the work on the FMC in the upcoming SP1, not sure).The FMC started OK, but intitialzed at KABE, I assume the nearest airport that I was closest to. When initialized, the saved flight that came with the install was no longer there, presumably becuase I was not at the origination airport. Is that how it is in real life? I was expecting to have to tell the FMC to fly direct to the next fix, but if I can't ret…

For some reason I can't get any Canadian VORs, NDBs or Waypoints showing for anything north of 60 degrees North latitude with the Navigraph 0909 data installed. Hey guys how is everyone, forgive me but I havn't been able to keep up with the DX10 technology in FSX. Now that I actually have a reason to use it, PMDG JS4100 I am enjoying it the cockpit shadows are great, but is there a way to get rid of the constant flickering while taxiing around the airport? As well as when switching views from outside to the VC you get the FSX Splash screen that cover all the cockpit screens for about 2 seconds. Is this un-avoidable or is there a solution now that its been out for so long? I really appreciate the help guys.I am using Vista 64 SP2 Intel C2D OC'ed to 4.0Ghz 4GB Ram and 8800GTX.Thanks

Just what the topic title says. The 747 had it, so why does the J41 not have it? When I do a normal saving of the flight, FSX doesn't save all instruments - it doesn't do the FMS/CDU settings! So, every time I save the flight and continue later, everything basically works, but I have to reprogram the FMS. Is there a way of saving its state that I didn't see, or is it really absent? And if so, why is it absent? I know, J41 flights don't last *that* long, but when you also do all necessary checklists and whatnot, it can still take two to three hours from gate to gate. Really, I love the plane, but I just don't understand why such a utility should be absent, when it's clear …

I have the new PMDG Jetstream and am really loving it BUT I find it hard to read the annunciator panel.How can I move across so I am in front of it please? I know you can zoom in but being on an angle my 67 yo eyes find it even harder for some reason; silly old git I know!!!Is there a way please.regardsRichard

I was flying through a thunderstorm. When I was looking at the icing on my wings I noticed little raindrops on the last window behind the pilot. I switched to the outside forward view where you can see the engine, same thing. If so, this is pretty cool PMDG!

GreetzI apologize for my dumb questions, but I am unable to get the FMC to power up. I've got power via Avionics and have been following the tutorial step by step. Page 39 has you pressing the ON button, afterwhich the power up self-test is supposed to run. When I do this, the FMC remains dark. Am I missing something?Also, the Pilot's Tutorial makes reference to "page 38 of the Normal Procedures." Where might I find the Normal Procedures in the manuals provided?Sorry about my ignorance, and thank you for your help to my dumb questionscb

Hi,I have a small problem. I usually use IAS both in climb and desend. now doing des when I select a lower speed i.e. going from 200kts to 160kts the plane starts to climb quite fast - over 1000fpm. I know "Fi-fi" is NOT a Jetstream, but the A/P shouldn't climb to loose speed.for ref: the JS4100 in FSX and "fair weather".Thanks,Martin

Can someone explain what these apps do in regard to the MD11?When I click on the FMS and any of the six screens on the MD11 many time my system crashes. I have reinstalled the MD11, changed video drivers and the problem still exists.If you think that FSX needs to be reinstalled can you explain why and how do you uninstall FSX because I can not find any way to uninstall FSXThanksDon L

I am the one that started this thread a few days ago http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=260066While searching what is it in my setup, Win XP and/or FSX, that the FMS of this beautiful plane did not like, I found a solution that seems to work for me. It seems that the FMS reacts like an old virgin to some FSX.cfg settings (to the ladies that are reading this, I beg your pardon...).I had made a backup of my fsx.cfg file and let FSX build a new one, and with this new fsx.cfg the FMS screen did light up when hitting the "ON" key. So far I've been loving the JS-41, been flying it all over northern Canada.One problem I've encountered is when trying to fly from CYVP to CYFB via J561. I'd enter it after entering the VP NDB and to end at the YFY NDB, but when you press enter it tries to send you 600 miles out of the way to a VOR way to the south. It does this every time no matter how you enter it and where you choose the TO and FROM waypoints as.I'm wondering if the FMC is having issues with J routes / Jet Airways that use NDBs as waypoints (as many in Northern Canada do).

I'm getting a little frustrated... my FMC goes to initialization mode and that's where my JS4100 experience ends. I've had this plane for about 3 days and haven't made a flight yet. I have no problem programming the FMC's on the 747,737,MD-11 or the LVLD767 so I'm not a total noob. The FMC in the JS41 will sit in initialization mode for a week if I let it, first off, it shows that I'm at HL0N, when actually I'm at HL69. I know this is an MSFS issue, but, when I enter HL69 and click the LSK, it reverts back to HL0N and shows nothing for position, so, I can't get any further than this. I have to take of from this airport as it's part of the VA flight plan, which by the w…

Hi all, thanks for the help with previous post, see if you can work this one out between ya.Purchased the above mentioned product and have had no joy with it. I've gone through installation of the software to PMDG747-400. That all looks OK. But when i tune into the ATIS frequency required (0.10Hz more than FS default) just silence. I find myself stuck starting at a gate here and there. In these cases it is most practicle and safe to push back and then start the engines. I've been following the checklists up to "before start", at which point I switch off the avionics, put the beacons on, disconnect the external power and chocks. Then pushback and start off of battery power. This all works well except for the FMS. The FMS goes off when the external power comes off and when I turn it back on it's lost the flight plan. It then is difficult ot put the new flight plan in, as the nav page still has the waypoints from before (displaying in places like the TO and FROM sections), but the FL PLN page is …

HiFirst of all, great plane!However, I'm misshing one important option: to start default in cold & dark mode.I find myself now loading the tutorial file, changing airport to Europe, changing time to day and then changing livery.Is it possible to incorporate this in an update please?
