Still having trouble getting any electrical power on the aircraft. My activation code was never asked for when I installed the first time and hasn't been asked for in any of the FIVE other times that I've reinstalled the aircraft. My question is, is this the way that unactivated installations work? ( or don't work I should say) That is with no electrical power from either the battery or ground power. I read the post about SP1 that referenced using the task manager to refer to an activation running in a hidden window but mine shows no hidden processes going on. How do I activate when it doesn't ask for activation and does that have anything to do with not having any el…

Hello everyone,As the title of the topic already says it, i have a strange issue with the landing lights of the PMDG MD-11. They do illuminate the ground but not the ground infront of me but to the far right front. Same applies to the taxi lights. However, the wing-lights work properly. I also own the PMDG 744 it the landing lights work perfectly with it.Very strange is the fact, that this issue also happens with the RealAir Duke. All other aircrafts (default and payware) work perfectly, concerning the position of the illuminated ground of the landing lights.i whether use any landing light enhancements nor 3dshockwave. the only program i use that changes the lights at all…

Quick question:I have never seen the oil temperature fluctuate during taxi or flight. When referencing the the operations manual, it states that oil temps may rise quickly when facing downwind or during taxi. It also states that oil temps may rise during prolonged taxi in high ambient temps. For high ambient temps I would expect 33C to be pretty high but I haven't seen any fluctuation on the gauge at all. I also would expect the fuel temp to fluctuate a little as well especially when the ambient temperature changes during flight. NHeither one of these gauges seem to display fluctuations and they are displaying the same value regardless of what the weather/flight condition…

Unfortunately I have no weather-radar-addon and there is no weather-radar delivered with the JS41.So I made a compromise and build in the ACARS-Gauge from FS Flightkeeper. There area couple of benefits that comes along with that.For example you have a map while taxiing, or you can show actual weather conditions, refreshed continously...The way I choose was to build in only the ACARS-screen into the weather-radar in VC, adding a clickspotfor the 2D-Popup Full version of the ACARS. Even the nightcolor matches well.But this modification is surely a matter of taste.If PMDG allows me, I can give an instruction for modifying the panel.cfg .Here some example-screens of what I me…

I had this idea about PMDG making like a Cessna 172SP. It would be more realistic than any other 172 on the market. And it would have G1000 displays. I bet PMDG could make the G1000 exactly like the real one. Like it would have Safetaxi, Synthetic Vison, XM Weather and so forth. I think that would be great because the default G1000 isn't very good and there really isn't any other payware models of a G1000 that are too realistic. I think that would be great!

Greetings all,I was wonderng how the pushback procedures should be executed.for example, the AC power truck is connected to the aircraft. i configure everything and then i hit shift+p. if i leave the AC truk connected and still pushback, the FMC shuts down and i cannot input the route data anymore.... how can i re-align the AHRS ??I know this method is unrealistic, however what will happen if i decide to detach the ac car before pushing back ?? shuld i just change the switch to BATT ASSISTED and then press shift+p ??i noticed that in the AOM it clearly states :C. Okay, half of my plane is transparent and I have no idea why?!?! I got the plane, everything works fine, except that half of my plane (the left side) is see-through, like I can see all of the passenger seats, the holds... everything! Please help, I've looked everywhere for an answer!!

Hello All,I flew this very aircraft at Air Atlantic for a few years and was an instructor/check pilot. I forgot how quirky (and noisy) this little beast was, until I purchased this excellent product. The documentation you provide is very thorough and the external model is faithfully replicated and painted in Air Atlantic's livery.Our company was the only one who ordered a dual-cue FD, so the single-cue FD provided is a bit of a local anomoly, but no problem.I just successfully completed a flight from CYQX to CYYT and it went mostly well.The realism you have created is just as challenging as the real aircraft itself.There are a few little bugs remaining, but this is an out…

When taking off in icing conditions, flows must be set to off according to AOM. Do they really have any effect on engine performance? I did'nt notice so.

Have PMDG ever considered some sort of gift voucher scheme? I have often had relatives asking me for suggestions as to what to buy me for birthday/Christmas etc. It would be nice to put something from PMDG on the list, such as the JS41 (I have a birthday in a few weeks!) but the download system makes that impossible.I was thinking of something along the lines of what you can do at Amazon, where you buy a certain amount of gift certificates for someone and Amazon e-mail them to say this has happened and give a unique code so the recipient can go to the Amazon site and claim them, either on a purchase there and then or bank them for future use.Just an idea. Is there any way of ensuring a correct restart on a flight,i.e. all saved parameters correctly reloaded.I frequently want to practice approaches with for example the MD11 in FSX Vista.When I restart the flight,it does not load all the parameters correctly.My only recourse is to exit FSX and restart it.This is a lenghty procedure.Any suggestions welcome.Ron

Hi everyoneJust purchased this yesterday, installed fine however, went to start the Tutorial Flight and looked in Saved Flights and there is no flight there called 'PMDG Bae JS4100 Tutorial 1 at KHPN' not even under any of the other Headings....?Also when panning around the VC and up to the overhead when trying to 'get to' the Start Switches' its as if your head is tilted sideways (if that makes sense!?) Would like a way to simply pan up level!Can anyone help please?Cheers! :(

I had a bit of a go with shared cockpit on gamespy last night. We both loaded up the tutorial flight so that everything would be the same. What I noticed and i'm not sure if it was related to one of our connections but there seemed to be a horrible amount of lag between actions made in the cockpit. It took up to 5 mins or so for the other player to see what I was doing. We then tested with the default cessna and it was smooth as silk. Should we connect directly? Can anyone offer some tips to succsefully using this plane in shared cockpit. This plane is made for it and I think there is lots of oportunity to teach my friends the basics as they move into more complexed airc…
