    I reported my crash the other day, so I thought I'd give the developers more specific data to help find the cause. Crashes occur under two circumstances. When I hit escape to end the flight and then close FSX, or change aircraft in flight. My operating system is Vista 64 with UAC on and running FSX as administrator. Primary addons are Maddog, REX and ASA, no issues with anything except JS4100. This info may not help, but maybe you can find a pattern somewhere. Curt Branch

    I continue to have problems with the Manx repaint, and the British Airlines Denmark repaint, as every time I have tried to install them I get an error message stating that they were unable to find my aircraft.cfg file. This file is right where it is supposed to be in the simobjects\airplanes\pmdg_js4100 folder, and none of the other installers have had any issues finding it, and all installed fine, and made the correct enties in said file.I read that there were some previous issues with these installers that were supposedly fixed, but I just tried to redownload and reinstall these 5 minutes ago and got the same errors again.I don't know if anyone else is getting these sa…

    Going through the normal procedures I noticed that I never get any kind of notification that doors are open (the PAX DOOR, POD DOOR, EMER EXIT, and REFUEL captions mentioned in the AOM, chapter 4 page 48).

    Just want to preface my post with congrats to PMDG for an incredible addition to the short list of must-have payware aircraft for FSX.I appear to suffer from a manifestation of very thin white lines/edging around a small number of push buttons and gauges in the main cockpit display...for example around the EHSI, and GPWS, G/SLOPE INHIBIT, and the GPWS FLAPS OVRD buttons.As the aircraft moves, these lines appear "alive" in that they will go from solid to dashed and back in such a manner that they become rather distracting at times.     I have been reading the AOM regarding proper use of the APR and I am not quite sure I have this figured out. Looks like it is used during icing conditions on takeoff and automatically feathers a failed engine as well as providing a power increase. I am wondering if this is the case why it is not used on all takeoff's and landings.Mark.

    Since I can't get the ramp manager to work (see previous thread), is there a work-around. Can I just take off without disconnecting the external power, or will it drag along behind the plane and eventually break something?Alternatively, any additional thoughts on why the ramp manager won't come up (and by come up, I mean visible), would be great.

    (edit: I should probably mention that this post relates to the JS41!)Running the cockpit prep procedure as per the AOM normal ops I've noted a few discrepancies:1) Under battery power, the fire detection test doesn't work, it only appears to work under ground power.2) Trying to engage the autopilot results in it immediately disconnecting itself, which means I am unable to test the AP DISC switch.I almost feel bad for mentioning this, it's almost like noting any possible fault with this kickass addon should be a crime!Cheers,James Culleton

    I recently watched the "quick guide" to at least get a basic "idiots guide to understanding" with the J41. Thanks to Sengruel for the "abbreviated version", although I had 10-15 times of practice, as I kept trying to do the cold start, but did not know that the prop locks are apparently not engaged by the FSX module on the cold start. However, through the wonderful power of the search engine and YouTube, I have successfully managed to complete basic start-up, shutdown, patterns, and have even wiped the drool off the seat for the next pilot!!!Thank you guys for not only the fantastic (and VERY realistic/challenging) product, but thank you also for the informative respons…

    Great Job PMDG! thanks! I have question. I use (new user) the Track IR so I am constantly clicking the "reset" hotkey for the view. I have to move forward before reseting the view so I can get my head in the right place in the VC. Is there a way to set the Initial VC view a few clicks to the rear. I I mean closer the the Seat back?Any help appreciated.Gary Trammell

    Just wondering if there is a tutorial for doing a go around procedure with the FMC. I tend to have problems setting the FMC up after my initial climb to hold pattern. Particularly if after passing the runway the FMC shows the message end flight. In the rte page can you put down the origin/destination airport as the same. I've tried doing this but it wont let me change the origin airport. Just looking for a few tips with what to do with the FMC for this type situation. I use the 737-900 aircraft.Thanks,Chris

    I can't make a comment about the J41 without saying first: IT IS AWESOME! This is so much fun: after some flights I feel tired instead of bored. I knew flying turboprops was a bit more busy than the big ones, but man... this is hard work.Ok, now my problem: after a couple of flights to get familiar with the J41 with mouse and joystick, I am now configuring my yoke to work with this plane. With the MD11 this was already quite difficult but with the possibility to add a shortcut to almost every command and with the 2d panels to make macro's with FSUIPC almost everything was doable. To my surprise, in the J41 many of the commands are not programmable to my yoke. Eg altering …

    Is there any way to save the A/C in a cold and dark start up mode? I have attempted it but when I restarted the program the A/C was in a ready to go config.     Hi guys, I bought last saturday pmdg js4100 i have installed it on a computer but due to bad frames i installed it again to another one the main machine that i have, due to several addons frewares and paywares fsx crashes, so unistall from both and tried to install it again to my newly formate pc gues what, i cant activate it anymore, as from pmdg no e- mail came back.So dont activate it for more than 2 times you lost your money

    Guys l`ve just done a flight.. taxi to parking, shut down the aircraft to cold and darkNow l tried to do another flight from the cold and dark... Remember l hadnt shut down fsx just left the aircraft and the parking.l`ve power up ok but l noticed that my left amps was 0 l couldnt start my engines again.what am l doing wrong.? do l have to leave the aircraft on the external power for alittle while, while it charges?any help on this would be greatThanksPaul
