Is there a way to remove the reflections from the VC windows, although it adds to the realism of the cockpit is can be a it distracting at times especially when trying to looks of the window during day of hazy weather.Any tips on remove the reflection would be greatly appreciated.Simeon Richardson

Hey all,Congratulations for the superb J41 simulation!I don't seem to have any problem starting up this lovely bird, thanks to the impresive tutorial, documentation and the You-Tube tutorial on top of this forum.However I can't puzzle how to start the FMC. I have the engines turning (power supply available) and master avionics on (so every other bell and whistle working) except when I push the "ON" button on the center top row of the J41 FMC, nothing happens. Good AfternoonFirstly, thanks for the great aircraft. This is my first PMDG.I have read the forum on the apparent problems with the FMC and crashes or lockups. I purchased the aircraft this morning and started to have lock ups during the loading of a saved flight plan. The only way to exit was CTL-ALT-delete keys. I used FS Commander to save the plan, and I checked that it was in the FSX documents as well as the PMDG flightplan folder. I couldnt understand why, after deleting the plan and redoing the plan again still caused a lockup.I deleted the FSX cfg file and started that again, but still locked up on selecting the plan.I noticed that Simconnect had stopped and was as…

Hello! In the tutorial, they calculate the fuel for you but I want to do my own flight. I look down at the FUEL QTY gauge. I see the number, but don't know how to convert it so the fuel is compatible with the load sheet. Please help. What is the equation?Regards, Kevin

Could you please confirm that if I run the Autopilot, set altitude with the big alitude knob and press AltSel on the Flight Control Computer nothing will happen if I fly level.Could you confirm I need to first set the plane to go up or down if I want the plane to reach the altitude I select ?Just not sure about that.Also there is no possibility to select Vertical speed with a knob or something I have to set VS manualy and then press VS on the Flight Control Computer.Am I right or do I miss something ?

HelloI had the J41 up and running without any hitches. I went through the tutorial flight and tried out some saved landing and approach flights. Pending that, I made a short flight with a cruise level of 8000 ft.However, due to carelessness and inexperience with the aircraft systems, I came into and overspeed/overstress situation. A rather lethal situation, and really lethal to my systems it proved to be. The FSX crashed, and from then on I haven't been able to load the PMDG J41 again. It simply makes the FSX crash. I have deinstalled/installed/repaired the aircraft, I have tried to delete the FSX.CFG-file, I have tried loading from the standard Cessna in both running and…

I have had occasions where I needed to change the arrivial due to changing weather. I can't figure out how to 'edit' the arrival to reflect the change. No matter what I do, I can't change the original landing runway. Thanks.Bob

I am trying to figure out what happened here, I departed from RJBB in my cargo MD-11 and 3 hours later over the pacfic I encountered sevure thunder storms and then the stick shakker started going off and the slats lowered for stall protection, so I started a decent and sudden all 3 engines flamed out, I had ianti ice on before this happened I stilll had control of the aircraft, I guess the windmilling engines still powered the hydraulic pumps so I diden't deploy the RAT, restart was sucessful, but the aircraft suddenly lacked power even though all engines were turning the aircraft felt very underpowered iven with auto throttle disconneted I struggled to maintain even 20,0…

A friend of mine sent me some pictures of his first flight while wait to hear about my JS41 license. I haven't looked up close first hand since I don't have the 41 yet, but it looks like there are two spots on the TWExpress repaint that I'm hoping someone from PMDG can look at:Comparing that picture to:-http://www.airliners.net/photo/Trans-World-Express/British-Aerospace-Jetstream/0812109/L/It appears that the other leading edge corner of the tail logo isn't rounded off (but comes to a point in the screenshot), and the "Trans World Express" text almost seems "too italicized". I love the new J41, but am rather new to using virtual cockpit. I find panning awkward, and much prefer to use the set views.Instead of having to cycle through all the cockpit views with the A key, is there a way to assign each of the fixed views to a different key and switch instantly to that view? Would make things so much easier when performing tasks that need you to move quickly. I have searched around but can't find anyhting on this.Many thanksRon McKeirnan

Hi all in the forumI am trying to work my way through the tutorial, and the massive learning curve. I have spent nearly 4 hours trying to find out how to stow the gear pins as required by the tutorial and the check lists. I know it needs doing but I cannot find any reference on how to do it. I have followed the instructions on emailing all requested information to [email protected] in order to receive a new download link. I followed the instructions in the tutorial very well. I can't arm the nav. I had difficulties with it on several test flights. Sometimes I can arm it, but it is not turning green (well, sometimes, but I don't know what I did do then)How come?Martin Oke... I pressed the lnav button and it worked

I just purchased the aircraft and I am having a problem, I installed it, when I went to fsx and chose the aircraft it asked me (i dont remember what but you get them on every add-on) and clicked yes, it asked me for the activation key and put it in, after that it crashed down my system, I tried a few times still the same, Uninstalled it and installed it and uninstalled again and installed it with all the security features off but still the same, need help please.RegardsPatrick

lots of problems going on here guys. lets start with the MD-11. right everything working... except the displays in the Cockpit. same in VC's all of the electrical displays have gone completely black. ive tried to play with the battery in the plane and nothing. so any ideas willl be highly appreciated.Now the 747, big problems with the 747. to start with, the monitors are black, the front wheel is locking in the left position, the ailerons are both pointed down. and none of the AP or overhead buttons are working.If anyone has any ideas please post. One more little thing: The last line is showing LB/NM, not NM/LB. The correct value in this example is approximately "0.25", not "4".

Hi guys, I'm flying right now from LKKV to LSZB. LKKV SID OKG N869 TGO T724 RILAX T721 TRA UZ669 ROTOS STAR LSZBI'm at the end of my flight and wanted to go direct to ROTOS intersection. So from the FPL page I press the direct to key and it shows : "DIRECT "2/3"And the rest of the page is blank. If I press Next I get airports in the vincity and previous will show me intersections, but none of them are where I want to go...Did I do something wrong ? Cheers,

The JS41 flight tutorial reads "Cabin Oxygen indication, check to be certain that at least 1600 psi". I always have only 1300psi.Michael

Not exactly a showstopper, but according to the AOM (normal procedures, page 54) the "IGN" cap light should come on shortly after pressing the entine start button. I've looked closely, but I haven't seen it lit yet during engine start.
