You just made an astonishing aircraft, the 3D cockpit, external model, systems, goodies and price, all top quality. At the beginning the frame rate was a little poor but with some tweak it's ok now, between 20-30 fps.2 Things i would love to see :- A cold and dark menu in the next patch- An update even if it cost a few bucks, inside, a damage generator with the possibility to choose the percentage of failure.But I'm not sure that my bank will still support me if you continue to make this kind of aircraft, at this price...Ben

I am going spare on this. I cannot see what I am doing wrong, and I cannot get the aural start locks removed message to sound regardless what I do...I would be really appreciative on any help on this. I am using a FSUIPC calibrated Saitek Pro FLight, the throttle lever at zero is Flight Idle...Any more info you need? Let me know and I will add it...Andrew

Since pushback with engines running is not permitted, I set everything up at the gate using the GPU to power the plane, then disconnect the GPU, push back and do a battery-only start. After turning the avionics back on, I find that I have to turn the FMS back on and then re-initialize by inputting the departure location.The flight plan etc. is all there, so no big deal, but is this working as intended?

Most of the time I like to fly the 747 during takeoff and the first 50Nm or so and then I select Vnav and later also Lnav.I did this many times and it always worked but on my last flight I selected only Vnav and the autopilot and I could not control the plane horizontally anymore. So Lnav was not selected, only Vnav.I must have changed something but I can not find out what.Joystick is working perfect so that is not the problem.

Lotta guys are having trouble starting up it seems like, so I thought I'd try and help out to make things a little clearer between the "BEFORE START" and "AFTER START" checklist - it's kind of a no-man's land. What I've got could be more confusing than what's in the manual, who knows, but I thought I'd give it a try.This will print out in two pages. Easier to have at your side to refer to. What conditions exactly do you need for the AHRS to run down and 'unalign'? The tutorial states 2 mins to run down and the AOM says 15 mins. From what I gather from the manual the AHRS runs on DC power but when all power is switched off (both gens, avionics masters, batteries) the AHRS is still aligned even after waiting 20 odd minutes in a cold and dark situation. What am I missing??

Understanding that I have almost no frame of reference (except some YouTube videos), I do have a quick question regarding start-up sounds.1. What is the high pitch sound that cuts out abruptly at around ~60 RPM? I assume it's the starter, but should it cut out abruptly or decrease in volume over some (relatively short) period of time.2. When I push the STOP button (especially when aborting an engine start), there is a gap in sound before the spin-down sound. Is this correct?Thanks for the awesome aircraft!

This is bizarre. I start with the default Cessna, just to be sure. I load the tutorial flight. Then I switch to the US Airways repaint and when it loads the engine spool up sounds play repeatedly. There is no power to the plane. All switches are off. Very bizarre. And, after successfully flying the tutorial last night, I have had 5 CTDs in the past half hour of tinkering. Anybody else having that engine running issue when changing planes from a C&D situation? Looks like a promising plane if I could only get it to run. Thanks, EddieKABQ

So I'm hoping someone can help with what I hope is a simple problem. I'm running my new computer with Vista and can't seem to download MSFS 9.1 patch. I've downloaded it and tried to "run as administrator" but it keeps saying that I already have 9.1 installed, therefore I'm also unable download 744. It keeps saying I nedd V 9.1 which I dont have but it keeps telling me I do. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong so if anybody could walk me through this because I'm obviously doing something wrong here. I'm not the most computer savy, but I think I should be able to fix this problem. I'm wondering if I should just give up and install FSX. Really frustrated, again any help wo…

Hi,OK. You're coming in on approach, you touch down, you select TAXI on the condition levers, then select reverse thrust.How on earth do you keep from breaking the engines? Initially I had an over-torque, panicked, hit F1, which caused them to surge, EGT over-temp - BOOM - there goes #1.According to RW docs, you select ground idle in order to stop within published figures. Is this not possible in the sim due to FS engine modeling?Best regards,Robin.

HiI am trying to work though the tutorial but having some trouble.I think its me or something or not 100% clear.I go though step by step but why set the FMS up then turn Avionics off? i understand you need them of to start but FMS has been turned of by turning avionics off.But thats not the main problem.I get to page 59 and start the engines, now i presume condition levers at set to taxi? I start both engines as page 59 and on page 60 it says "Turn both fuel pumps OFF" that for me shuts down both engines the second i do so.If i dont and just seat and wait a few minutes i get a shut down on left and then a few minutes later same on right.Also I note the START buttons never…

Well, how many times one have to load FSX flight when he wants to start C&D from a different airport:1. load any flight from the main FSX UI (because panel state in JS41 is not loaded correclty when loading from there, ok, that's FSX bug, not PMDG fault)2. load predefined JS41 C&D flight 3. move aircraft to the departure airport. And wait until FSX loads everything again.4. change data&time to the time he wants. FSX reloads scenery again.5. Now you have only to change livery, and fuel using in game menus.So after 5 to 10 minutes depending on your scenery setup and computer speed, and waiting 4 times for FSX to load everything, we can now prepare Jetsream for s…

Hi,I'm really little confused because Your previos products were spot on,without anything that was faulty or not working and since yesterday evening I'm having some unpleasant time trying to get J41 to fly. It started with liveries instalation and small glitch in destination adress. I know it's almost nothing but for PMDG...And then I noticed that I can't turn EHIS displays on. I tried to start an aircraft by the book(by the way no sign of lesson flight You mentioned in AOM),tried to load MD-11 then load different panel states and then change it back to J41,and finally tried to load default FSX aircraft and than load J41. Hi I need some help with this problem i have encountered trying to install any of the liveries on the new J41. I have tried all the liveries but each displays the same problem which is that it tells me that it can't locate the aircraft cfg, advises me to reinstall before proceeding with liveries. I have even tried to install into a new folder on my desktop thinking i could copy and paste into the simobjects aircraft folder, but after installation the folder is empty as nothing seems to have been installed. No matter how I load the JS-41 when I turn the FMS on all i can see is the yellow highlight box and no text. I've tried installing the fonts from the FSX/Fonts folder directly to the Windows/Fonts folder and restarting, no difference. I tried reinstalling the JS-41, still the same problem.Running Windows 7 64bit RC build 7100.

How do the FPS compare so far to other PMDG products?Thanx.
