As some of you may be aware, I like to do test flights with my planes that involve setting the flaps and trim at the runway threshold (and never touching them again), taking off, flying downwind in the pattern, and then turning back for a final approach and landing. The undercarriage remains down throughout the flight. I like to be able to work out the thrust/power settings that are required to maintain a gentle climb out through the turn to left downwind, followed by level flight in the pattern, and then a controlled descent and landing. Just got the bird today, actually a short time ago.Having just sat in it having loaded up the tutorial flight, I got as far as turning on the batteries then GPU. Then sat in amazement looking around and pushed a few buttons.This is amazing what you guys have created here. The immersion is very believable.This is the first time that the experience has been this profound for me. Guys.. l thought l`d try my own flight but following the instructions.. well power ok start engines ok taxi ok... but when l put in my flight from YMLT to YHBA it wont follow the track. also l put in lets say 16000ft and l want it to follow a 1500ft vs were do l adjust it... and when it went to 16000 it didnt lock at 16000 it kept on going..any help on this would be great. so start up no problems.. just need help on a flight following and alt and vs... speed not that worried l can manually fly that..PleasePaul

hey guys..I am going to list my computer specs and see what you all think. I have the 747 for FSX and at a larger airport (default scenery) my frame rates will go down to about 4-5 and sometimes it will stop and say I have ran out of memory and completely close FSX. I just think my computer should be doing alot better than that. Could you guys suggest what should/could of been changed to make better and what settings in FSX I can change to increase my frame rates. The unlock buttons for the condition levers make a very satisfying "click" when depressed (I love the sounds in the JS4100), but there is nothing when it pops back out. I'm guessing this is an oversight - if so, can it be fixed in an update sometime?Thanks,

Hello fellow pilots,I'm used to flying, and mainly landing, in a 2D cockpit and am having some difficulty in adjusting to judging the landing correctly in the 3D because of the zoom level.When I fly the MD11 in 2D I have the zoom level set to 100% and I have gotten used to how it looks and can judge the landing perfectly. When flying the BAe in the VC I find that if I set the zoom level to 100% I am unable to see the instruments (mainly the rate of descent) so I have to set the zoom level to 60%. However changing this means my outside perspective is totally different and I have trouble judging the landing correctly.My question is can I change the zoom level for the cockpi…

I am trying to install repaints and keep getting an error message saying that the aircraft config cannot be found and that I need to reinstall.I am running Vista 64 and the sim and the plane are installed in the default location: Program files X86.The plane starts and flies fine but the repaints all return the same error. Man I've tried and tried to get this thing started and can't even do that, what is with the tutorial, it just does not have any flow to it at all. I load the tutorial flight and follow it step by step, the engines seem to start but then quickly stop, no smoke or anything, I just don't understand the way its written, like in the prefilght you have the generators on but why does it tell you to turn them on again in the start up, things like this are really confusing, and as far as the stop latches I have no idea what is going on, if start the saved flight tutorial are they are already off. I have no idea about this plane at all, and doubt I will ever sort this thing out,…

Hi as you can see from the image below the configuration manager is all messed up, this is as a result of my desktop resolution 1920X1200 and the need to enable large fonts (120dpi) in the OS options, if I dont use large fonts at this resolution it makes it really hard to read the text as its too small. Hopefully you can work on fixing this in a future update if possible.Thanks.

Having just bought the J41 I wanted to install the additional liveries, but the installers kept popping up an error saying it couldn't find the aircraft.cfg (see attached screenshot). Luckily, the error showed the complete path to the J41's aircraft.cfg and I noticed that with the default destination path to FSX ("W:\Flight Simulator X" on my machine), it is missing the seperating "\" between FSX's base path and the folders below them (SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG_JS4100\Aircraft.cfg). Clicking on "Browse..." and adding a trailing "\" to the FSX folder fixes the problem.Hope this helps anyone who runs into trouble with the additional livery installers.now, I'm off to fly, re…

Hi I have installed pmdg Js4100 into 2 deferent computers, because of several addons and paywares at one computer it does not load fsx after the first try with js4100, so i had to reinstall, the problem is i cant activate it nowany help please

Hey guys. Great work so far on the aircraft. I am running through the checklist for the first time though and it says to check and be sure the Oxy is at 1600psi, but it is only at 1250psi. So I am just doing what the manual says and noting it in the log book for the maintenance crew to fix. Thanks for the aircraft. Truly awesome! I love actually having to do preflight checklists.

I hate to be the person to ask, but I must. We know that since the J41 is released, PMDG will begin work on the Dash 8. Maybe I missed the post but did they specify which model they were going to make? I know that whatever model it may be I will be getting it. Thanks!Jared L.
