Trackir Pro with 6 deg of motion expansion question
I have the Trackir Pro ser #XXXXX. Win 7x64 OS. I use FSX exclusively. I have Ver 4.1 build 28 installed. It worked great, but now I need to uncheck the true view box and I cannot get to the setup screen. I am happy with my profile, but to use with EZdok I have to make some changes. I am afraid of screwing something up by going to the updated version. How do I install the newest version TrackIR_4.2.0.39? Will I have to redo my profile? Do I have to uninstall it from the control panel uninstall/change page before I install the new version? I have searched the forum but was not able to find the answer to my question. I have read the manuel numerous times. Thank you for your help. Lynn

Purchased Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System clock doesn't display system time
lfishe replied to lfishe's topic in Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etcThe Proflight does not have holes in it. You would not be able to bolt it to the desktop.

Purchased Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System clock doesn't display system time
lfishe replied to lfishe's topic in Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etcInstalling the drivers worked to get the clock working. hightower I think it is likely, You are pushing and pulling on it and not lifting. You've got a 9 inch by 9 inch flat surface to put the velcro on. You are not exerting that much force to move the yoke in and out, twisting the yoke left and right. Lynn

Purchased Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System clock doesn't display system time
lfishe replied to lfishe's topic in Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etcThanks for the heip. I really wanted to avoid their software. I had the X52 and used their software. I had plenty of trouble with it. I think when I was in either in their forum or hear on this one that other people were successful with just letting the OS install the drivers. Since I have FSUIPC registered I was hoping that someone might have a way to make it work. Thanks, Lynn

Purchased Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System clock doesn't display system time
I just bought the Profight yoke system. I am running Win7 x64, I72700k, computer. Everything works great, assigned axis, buttons, etc with FSUIPC.. I push function on the yoke and it changes from the clock to the stop watch. I hit start, stop, reset, all works. It just will not display anything but zero's for the clock. How do I get the clock to work? I did not load Saitek drivers, I plugged in the yoke to my computer, the quadrant, and combat rudders to the yoke and Win 7 installed the drivers. Thank you. Lynn

Update to Saitek Yoke, Throttle, Pedals from G940 questions
I am going to update my hardware to a yoke, throttle, and pedals from my G940. I fly PMDG and some GA aircraft. I am going to buy the Saitek. Is there a reason to spend more money to get the Cessna Yoke, Throttle, and Combat pedals vs the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke with Three-Lever Throttle (PZ44) for $124.00 and the regular Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals for $98.00 or combination of Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and Combat pedals. I want a good system to fly with. I can afford the more expensive setup, but will it really work any better then the cheaper. Also I wonder about the setup of the Cessna vs the Proflight yoke buttons when setting up FSUIPC assignments with the PMDG 737, since their is a difference between them. I intend to put the Pitch Trim, Autopilot switch disconnect, Autothrottle disconnect, on the Yoke. I know their is a difference with the 45 deg vs 90 deg yoke rotation. Any opinions are welcome. Lynn

PFE ATC too fast in Delivering App instructions, any tips or fix ?
You can add a monitor to your computer which will add a screen that will hold about 10 or 12 previous messages listed at one time. When the messages become more than can be held on the screen it will scroll the oldest message off and add the latest to the list. I also move my Taxi gauge to this screen which makes everything easier to keep track of. I really like this. This is not a networked computer monitor, you add the monitor to your FSX computer. I do not network PFE. It works great. I use one of my older monitors that I had and was no longer using. It tells how to do this in the manuel. I do network 2 other computers for REX, Plan G, and actually the Remote Radio PFE application, and PFE Display.exe. I also keep a pad at my computer that is preconfigured to the information that I know I am going to get so that is quick to record the information in the form. I am sure that in the real plane they get the info fast and have a system of recording it while flying. Lynn

Voice Buddy 2
By far the best voice activation program is Voice Activated Commands (VAC) http://www.dwvac.com/ . I struggled with Voice Buddy for years. It can be made to work most of the time and I made FSX voice commands for much of the ATC and aircraft flying activities, ex. flaps up/down, reverse thrust, gear up/down, etc.. VAC is much easier and more reliable. I have made a very inclusive list of custom commands for FSX, for GA, PMDG 747400, PMDG NGX, Change Nav and Com Radio Frequencies, Proflight ATC, etc. Excel speadsheet is 22 pages printed landscape. Warning about the new 310.70 drivers
lfishe replied to DylanM's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcIf it's not broke don't fix it. It gets me in trouble nearly every time. I have spent more time fixing something that wasn't broke before I tried to get the phantom, hoped for, maybe improvement. Lynn

How do I change default drive for Flightplans in FSX?
The default drive for flightplans in FSX is C, Username, Documents, Flight Simulator X files. I can go into the Flight Planner, Load Flight Plan and change to the drive and file location that I want which is H: Flight Simulator X Flight plans and access the flight plans in the folder. I want it to default to this drive, and folder. How do I get this to happen. I also want the files that I save to default to this same folder instead of the C: Username, Documents, Flight Simulator X file. Thank you for any help offered. Lynn
