Hey guys,I have the 0907 navdata for PMDG at the moment, Is it possible to "retrofit" VHHX (old Hong Kong) back into the database?If this is possible can someone send relevent info as found in your Database APT? I have the VHHX addon but obviously it doesn't show up in FMC. I can use the charts for navigation which is fun but entering routes is a bit tricky as I have to pretend to be at the new Hong Kong!Thanks for your thoughts,Dan.

I've read the post from people dealing with disappearing pmdg aircraft textures and posted on this issue myself.What I've found is this is not a pmdg,sound or FSX issue.This is a VISTA issue. The driver failures in vista are what caused the disappearing aircraft textures on my system.It appears these vista errors affect pmdg aircraft more than other addons. When I get the error message (Display driver nvddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered) this is when I lose my pmdg aircraft textures. Win 7 is supposed to be much better with hardware drivers than vista.My question is, has anyone running win 7 gotten this driver error message?Alex

Howdy All...Howdy to all. High end computer and a quick question for the pros. I have my throttle pedestal undocked on the right hand monitor and when it is displayed there is a huge 20-40 frame rate drop, when I choose to hide the panel a massive spike in frames. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this and whether or not there is a way to adjust for this to have it open all the time. FYI since the last update I have noticed this more so. I am looking at installing the Navigraph airac cycles on my 64 bit Vista system, but looking at the navigraph support page, they comment, the software is not supported on 64 Bit systems. Several users on their forum say no issues and others seem to have issues.Seems to be two problem areas in 64 bit machines. maps and charts seem to have some issues. FMS data seem to have less issues.My question for our 64 bit guys with say PMDG 747 (x in may case):Do you have have issues with navigraph updates each month?As I have FSX/PMDG loaded on its own partition away from C:, did you have to manually pick navigraph files up amd relocate them to FSX/PMDG location? as I read the progr…

Hi,I am planning to buy the trackir 5 and start flying in the VC mode. Currently I am using fs9 with the pmdg 747 and the pmdg 737.Does anyone know if there is a visual difference between the VC panels in fs9 and fsx? Are the VC textures in fsX better as they are in fs9.Is VC flying in fsx improved on these pmdg planes according to fs9?Hope to hear from you soon guys.RegardsKim

Is there anybody out there that have A2A's light redux and now how to add these lights to pmdg products, i've found for th 747X and MD11 but would really like to have for the Jetstream aswell. I own both the MD-11 and the J-41. I had both running perfectly on my old FSX install but I recently had a hard drive crash and had to reinstall FSX. After getting FSX up and running again, I am having problems reinstalling the PMDG planes. The J41 installs fine and seems to fly ok, but when I try to install repaints, it says there is no aircraft.cfg found. The J41 also did not have me activate it at any point in the install. On my old install, it had me activate it in the FSX preview window. I then tried to install the MD-11 and that proved just as bad. The plane seems to install fine but then after the installation it has me install the V2008 redistributable or s…

I understand that FSX is compiled with this capability but does this switch need to be set in the boot.ini for 64 bit systems? ThanksDon

I loaded WIN 7 with my plan to set my system up for the MD 11. After I got the NVIDIA driver loaded I discovered to my horror that WIN7 will not support the horizontal and vertical span modes. I did some research on this and found out that WDDM 1.0 is the culprit. Microsoft has made a deliberate and calculated decision not to support these two modes even though they are successful in XP 32 and 64.Those of us in the FSX community who enjoy using two monitors spanned together as one have now lost this capability. hi I'm planning on buying a new desktop PC and i'm not quite sure if I should get windows 7 (64bit) as i don't know if it causes any problems with FSX or the 747X addon by PMDG ... does anybody have fsx installed on windows 7 home premium ? and can anyone give me some information on how the 747 behaves on win7 ... has anybody experienced CTDs or else? thanks Danps. i know that there's a similar thread on this subject but i opened another one because i didn't find the answers i hoped for...sorry for that ! :(

Hello everyone,as every week, i scan my system with ad-aware and anti-virus program. This time, my Anti-virus program found 3 trojans or so within the Loadmanager of the PMDG-MD11 and 747.when it asked me, if i would like to repair it, i confirmed and, well, it "repaired" it, what ever that means. however, now my shortcuts on my desktop, linkin to the loadmanagers, are gone and i can't find them anymore. they are not inside the pmdg folder within the fsx folder.what can i do? do i have have to reinstall both planes again?p.s.: my anti-virus program is called "Avira Anti-Vir Personal" and i also use "Ad-Aware" both updated nearly every day.help would be appreciated very mu…

Hello,I'm using FSX PMDG MD11 FS2crew but after some hours of flying and monitoring i found a small problem.Directly after take off, when gear slected up, the FO switch off all landing lights. That from the nose gear i can understand but also the Landing lights and RWY turnoff lights.These should be on untill reaching 10.000FT.I searched in oure AOM and procedure manual of the MD11 (Martinair) but they also discribe to let those lights on untill 10.000ftIs there a bug our is this normal and programmed?Regards Peter

I will upgrade to Windows 7, 32bit (from Vista) in a few days and would like to know: do I have to expect any problems concerning the PMDG 747/MD-11, FSX and Windows 7? Do the developers think it is safe to use Windows 7? Any experiences yet from Windows 7 users?

I was getting this issue with the corrupted graphics followed by black screen after Alt+Tab / Alt (http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=249782) on almost every flight - with my MD11 with my 747 with Captain Sim 767 etc...I decided to something drastic - HDD erase - fresh install of Windows 7 64-bit and hope for better performance.The performance improved at once however the black screen surprised me several times with J41 and again there was no chance to recover but to restart FSX.All times I got the problem: it was in busy environment (UT2 @ 60% commercial 40% general traffic); it was around big and complex add on airport it was during weather generated by Acti…

Having recently reinvented my interest in FSX, I encountered the dreaded dll.xml bug having installed a Wilco product BEFORE my PMDG 747 and MD11. Needless to say, that ended up in disaster on many levels. I have recovered from that debacle with a complete wipe and reinstall of FSX and have NOT installed any Wilco product yet.My question is the order of installation. I will be installing PMDG 747 and MD11 FIRST, then my Wilco product(s). Now, should I buy PMDG's latest fine looking commuter turboprop (those are "turbo" are they not? LOL) and at that, after my Wilco stuff, am I going to run into that dll installation problem as with the MD11 and 747, or will I be safe and …
