Hi guys,Just a quick query regarding a possible addition for the NGX and/or future PMDG products. I've seen a couple of products by other developers that created their own push-back tug that could be repainted in any livery to go with the aircraft. This was instead of the default MSFS tug. Would PMDG consider doing something like this for the NGX as a future update or for future products like the B777?

Greetings fellow simmers! I'm wondering if anyone knows of an aircraft tweak that would result in slightly less angle of attack at cruise. I have a couple of non-PMDG FSX aircraft that, IMO, cruise with excessive AoA (5 to 10 degrees). Before you start, I'm very well aware of how weight, altitude, temperature, and CG factor in. For now, please just assume that those items are all within operational limits. I have a lot of add-ons and it's only this one family of aircraft that I have this problem with. I'm guessing that a tweak which results in a little more lift from the wings might do the trick. If anyone has any ideas, I'll experiment a bit and see what happens.I …

Dear pilots,Summer is coming and European sky will be full of airplanes. In heart of season through Fiumicino airport passes millions of passengers who are flying to their destinations. Because of that EASTAVIA Virtual strongly decided to make event which will be called N O R=Noise over Rome. The main goal of this event is to simulate real operations at Rome airport. This event is tending to become tradition and to be held each year when June starts. EASTAVIA in cooperation with VATITA is organizing this spectacular event and we’re calling your local pilots to participate on this big event for which all of us think that will be more then good. VATITA will give full ATC sup…

With the NGX on the horizon, I'm seriously considering joining a VA. My time on Vatsim has increased DRAMATICALLY over the last year, and this seems like the next logical step. Right now my preference is SWA (merely b/c if I have a choice in RL that's what I'll fly)... but I'm open to suggestions.Certain things that I'm looking for- good online forum/community- flexibility in the sense that my time seems to be increasingly limited, hence fewer than desired flights- RW ops/route support-Obviously the ability to use my own paywareAnything else I should look for? What have your experiences been like with VA's? Do you have to "climb the ladder" or can you just jump in and sta…

  10. Being the nerd I am I love visiting the flight deck but after the tragic events of 9/11 this is not always possible.I thought It was the law not to allow any 'unauthorised' personnel on the flight deck once in flight. This seems to be regularly ignored though. Without mentioning any specific airlines (although they were either EU or US based) some captains have allowed children in whilst in flight and some say no but then allow them in whilst on the ground. Well to be honest, the captains tend to say yes but the stewards (politically correctness [cabin crew OR airborne worker] say no without asking.Have I got the law wrong and it's actually at the Captains discretion or d…

Hello, maybe not appropriate for this forum but anyway, just heard that one of AF447s black box was recovered. It was the data recorder, they are still searching for the cockpit voice recorder. The investigators say the black box is still in good condition and will be taken to paris. In several days the investigators will start to record what happened. This is very good thing that they found the black box and lets cross our fingers they will find the cockpit recorder to

HeyIve been flying the 747-400 for a little while now and recently I had to re-install FSX and all my addons. The Queen is back online and re-installed fine. My only problem is now it doesn't follow the ILS to the T in approach mode. It shows about quarter scaled deflection on the G/S and half scale deflection (on the smaller more finite scale) on the llz..Its really weird. I have the correct autopilot modes displaying. Land 3, LOC and G/S with FLARE and ROLLOUT annunciated. When I hand fly it lines up normally. However if in autoland (which I don't normally do) it lands off centre and late.Any help is appreciatedThanks in advance

  15. The AVSIM Staff received word today regarding the release date of the PMDG 737 NGX. We don't normally post unattributed information, but in this case, we felt that we could probably lower our normally high editorial standards and let the cat out of the bag! After all, there are thousands of you dying to know! So, here it is... Hold your breath! Here it comes! DECEMBER 21, 2012!

  17. Hello,I'm thinking about to oder the PMDG 737-NGX Flight Crew Training Manual. The info gives: "The maneuvers you will learn include Ground Operations, Takeoff and Initial Climb, Climb, Cruise, Descent, Holding, Approaches (visual, precision and non precision) Missed Approaches, Landing, Stalls, Steep Turns, Climbs/Approaches/Landings with one engine shut down and more!" Okay, sounds great but can I get an example of some pages of a customer?- I'm looking for a manual that tells my how to operate the 737 from "gate-to-gate" from engines start-up to shut down. That means, it tells me how to procede the preparation of the 737, how to turn on the engines properly and as …

My 7 year old Saitek X45 has now seen the sky for the last time! :( Therefore I need som good advice from my fellow simmers! I consider myself a hardcore flightsimmer; I am willing to spend 100-200 dollars on a good yoke or joystick.. I mostly fly big jets, (Boeing etc.) so I might be looking for a yoke, but I have only flown with joysticks till now. So please help me out I need some advice quick! I do not want the NGX at a time where i don't have the hardware to fly it!!!!!What do you guys use and what would you recommend a fellow simmer?

So you think you're ready to get everything out of your NGX when it's out?Are you sure you already dominate everything it's FMC has to offer? Do you consider yourself an FMC Master?Ok then, so I challenge you guys to replicate this...I've checked, and both the current NG for FS9 and FS9/FSX 747's FMC are able to replicate that..So.. Anyone? :(

Hi there,I remember one of you guys said something along the lines of keep them coming as to what is modeled and what is not. (And I was really shocked that you don't simulate the dust movement! )Now I just saw the first part of my aeropresentation 737 DVDs (thought it would ease the wait but it doesn't, oh well...) But they said something about the vibration if ice build up on the engines and I wondered if you have this behavior (meaning ice etc.) modeled.Don't get me wrong I know we won't see the icing, which is fine with me, well basically I think almost everything is fine with me since you don't own me anything.I was just wondering if you got that deep.Oh and maybe t…

Hi thereI've been following the PMDG 737 NGX development for some time now. I have been a big fan of PMDG and think PMDG 747-400 is best thing happened to FSX and FS 2004.I almost fly it daily even for domestic routes .PMDG had made the things that the other developers could only dream of.I was very much amazed with sounds of PMDG 747-400,but [A.P.U] sound is not modeled at all, all you can hear is Avionics Fan ,Packs ,Fans ,Battery ,Electricals inside the aircraft when initiated but all these sounds even outside the aircraft.I was just wondering that is [A.P.U] Sound modeled in the NGX from the inside and outside? And all of these sounds [Fan ,Packs ,Fans ,Battery ,Elect…

Obviously it's NGX time now, and then the JS41 SP2 or whatever, but I'd like to know if there is a chance of having an expansion for older PMDG models to add 3D lights like the ones in the NGX. IIRC it's coded in the model itself, so I don't know if it's feasible, having to mess with old code like the 744's, or if the MD11 and JS41 have reached the VC animations limit (I think that's the case with the Jetstream and that's what triggers the artifacting at max settings?)Anyway, I'd be more than happy to pay for that and thought it wouldn't hurt to ask, what planes could be patched if any, and who else would be interestedThanks

Captains-My plan for tonight's update had been a really nice video- but some events during the past two days have conspired to prevent it... I'll shoot for tomorrow night for the video- (not a promise... I have a few things on my plate Saturday, but as soon as I wrap those up I've got some fun stuff to show you in video...) So instead of a visual update, here is one for your brain.A bunch of folks have asked us to describe what we are working on... You would be amazed just how dull things are around here at the moment, and today has been a pretty typical day of wrap-up work with highs and lows...Lets start with the highs! One of the normal tasks that we undertake approa…
