This question is mainly for Jason B I guess. I've been noticing in all the livery previews the level of structural detail in the vertical stab. You can clearly see the wrinkles on the skin between the ribs and the spars. I've been looking at pictures of the actual airplane and they are identical. So my question is, are these wrinkles part of the model geometry or a bump map in the texture? However you guys did it, it looks amazing!!!Hiram Hunt

Hello!I am a PMDG guy, and I am sure that I will be one for a long while. Now that there is a new NGX model coming out, which of course is upgraded from the very popular NG model, how closely similar is it to the also popular iFly 737NG model?The PMDG 737NG model provides the user with a hands on experience with almost all systems inside the cockpit. The iFly 737NG does the same, however, it brings a different panel layout, and introduces the IRS, as well as more things to view from the flight displays in the 2D panel and virtual cockpit.So, I am curious.....How similar and how different will the new NGX model made by PMDG compare to the now very popular 737NG made by iFl…

why my account with PMDG deleted? Am I not enough, the customer, right? Is it enough to buy all the products? Or PMDG has simply not necessary?

I imagine that trawling through the forums all day would be fun. How did they get to the point of being able to do it as a job?

I was taking a look in the 747-400 forum and faced a user questioning why there was a pogo stick in his 747 flightdeck. Vin answered his post saying that this is a long standing internal joke from the early days of PMDG. So, PMDG team, would you mind sharing with us how this pogo stick story actually started? I'd really like to understand the tradition behind this joke. Or is this a part of your history you'd like to remain preserved?

Hi So I am still tweaking FSX and need advise.When using the NVIDIA Inspector and going by this forums advise,will the Antialiasing settings within have an effect on Memory that might lead to OOM problems ?Do Bilinear or Trilinear settings have an effect on memory ?Have most settings to my liking but trying to make it as memory friendly as possible.Sorry if this has been touched on else where and thanks in advanceCheers, Ricko

Downloading these at blazing speeds as I type this. Considering the price of AUS SP4 is normally $100+ I'm please I got all 3 for $99. HiI just got a new computer and went to load up my PMDG products it comes up not on data base.as my old computer never did run the PMDG aircraft was too old.tried to log into PMDG support it comes up not on data base.What can i do next.

Is it possible to edit an airport to use some of my AI traffic as static objects? I got the Orbx PNW last week and Renton, Everett, and Boeing Field are all bare! I want to use some of my UT2 Boenigs to populate the factory ramps. That way when the NGX comes out, it will look more like really flying at those aiports in a new Boeing! If someone knows how to do it let me know. I'll try it out and post some screens if it looks good and doesn't kill the FPS.Hiram Hunt

Hi All,For about a month now, I have been having problems with my PMDG 737NG aircraft's ability to follow a heading that either I give it in the MCP or that is programmed into my FMC. When the LNAV / VNAV is turned on the aircraft will fly at an angle to the magenta line, when the heading hold is engaged, it is flying in a straight line, however, according to Vatsim ATC I am 20-50 degrees off of assigned heading. I have been forced to end my vatsim flight and try to fix this reoccuring problems many, many tmes now. This is what I have done to try and fix the problem - 1. Run Registry Edit by Flight1 (I ran s administrator and still not working)2. Uninstall My PMDG 737N…

I recently bought the PMDG 747-400 and i just realize how hard that plane is to handle...i'm trying to learn since cold and dark but some switches shows on even on that panel state.I'm trying to save my own panel state with everything off and i get a message(cannot create file})...so much frustration and i cant even take off yet...the thing is i wanna learn everything and enjoy this product.......help Please...Thanks.....

Hi,Firstly, I want to say the 737NGX previews look amazing. Well done PMDG for your work so far and like everybody here I am really looking forward to flying this plane when released.Now to my question.I have been trialing Aivlasoft's Electronic Flight Bag but I am having trouble getting my created flight plans to load on the MD-11 FMC.I have tried all of the formats (.RTE/.RT2 and the JS41 RTE) available in the save options and saving them to the PMDG/Flightplans folder, but the FMC is always 'unable to load flightplan'.At the same time, I have read old topics on Avsim where members are saying they are able to load EFB flight plans to the MD-11. I'm not sure what I am do…

I know this is off topic, but I'm asking in this forum because there are a lot of people who know stuff here. I actually get answers here quicker than on topic specific forums.That said, I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that the touchdown smoke on FSX is a little unrealistic compared to what I see on real life videos, so I was wondering if anyone has ever come across a third party fix of some sort?Thanks

Found a little video with some landings and takeoffs in Dublin. Most of them are 738 of Ryanair but some of the aircraft are Airbus of Airlingus.Hope you enjoy it

Hey guys...Has PMDG stated what variants will be available for the NGX? From the screenshots, we have seen the -700 and -800 but I wasn't sure if it was stated that the BBJ or the -900ER would be included. Thanks for any insight.Regards,

Just wondering if anyone has had a problem with FSX crashing to desktop while flying.I read something about a UIAMINATION.DLL file in three locations needed to be removed, but I did a search on my computerand could not locate this file. I have seen other UI files with other words in the description, but not amination.I was just curious if anyone else had the problem.Thanks
