Last night I finished up my upgrade that turned into a rebuild and WOW what a difference the new setup is a 2500k@ 4.3 ( will clock higher soon) with a asus p8p67pro board, 8 gigs of corsair ram I carried over from my old computer, evga 570 card. Right now I just have one drive a caviar black 1 gb but I plan on getting a SSD for the OS and FSX. With a lot of traffic ( using mytraffic x at 50 percent right now) and just about all the sliders to the right I am seeing 25-30+ frames on the ground at Kbos with the ifly 737, thats including stuff I never used before like AI cars and boats. HUGE improvement over my old C2D systemSo now I am ready for the NGX

Hi all, maybe the question has already been asked and answered but I couldn't find any 100% relevant post. If it has, dear moderators, please feel entirely free to remove the post.I would like to undock the PFD/ND and if possible EICAS gauges and put them on another monitor in bigger size. The second monitor is connected to the second video output of my GTX285. The two monitors are different in both size (23" for outside view and 19" hopefully for gauges) and resolution. However, on the 747-400X I never managed to achieve this without cutting my FPS by 50% everytime I took a gauge to the new monitor. PFD out : -50%, PFD+ND out = -75% etc etc etc. Unplayable. This happened in…

Have just bought PMDG 747x. I use VoxATC. From what i have read on the forums one needs to save the plan under the PMDG folder (.RTE format i think) How does one save to this format. The procedure I have tried is:Free flight box select the Aircraft. Then got to MS flight planner, plan and save the flight, which defaults to .plnResult: VoxATC does not recognise the plan thus when loaded, big black box on screen.I am also have problems loading FMC, could this .rte format be the issue here too? Have used PIC 737 FMC with no problems.Any help appreciated.Kevin

Hi guysJust wondering if someone from PMDG could answer this. So far, we have seen only commercial aircraft coming out of the PMDG workshop and I was wondering if - given the partnership between PMDG and Boeing - we will see any military aircraft from PMDG such as the C-17 for example? It would be nice to see a PMDG-level simulation of this fantastic aircraft instead of only commercial airliners. Just my opinion, but I hope someone from PMDG can give us an answer.

Hello fellow simmers :( At the moment my rig consists of the following components : Motherboard : Asus P7P55D PRORam : 8 Gb DDR3 1333Mhz (4X2gB) / running at 1400MhzProcessor : Intel Core I5 750-8Mb level 2cache at default speed 2,66GhzHarddisk : WD 250 Gb SATA IIVideo card : Geforce 285 Gtx with 1 Gb ram - at default speedOS : Windows 7 UltimateAs far as I can see, I have a limited choice regarding the cpu because of the LGA 1156 socket and I guess that faster RAM also, will not make a huge difference. But I guess that changing my video card will make the biggest improvement, though I do not want to invest a million local dollars (Danish Kroner).Any advice is welcomed.B…

I purchased PMDG's MD11 and have had no problems with software with this exception. Whenever I switch to an external view, there are parts of the aircraft that are missing (all three engines, rudder, elevators, pieces of the slats and flaps). I am running windows 7 64 bit. The MD11 model flies perfectly, the only issue is the "missing pieces" when I look at an external view. Any assistance is appreciated!Thanks....Troy

Now that the NGX and I have become better aquatinted, I thought it may be interesting to post a few impressions. First, a few housekeeping items. I don't have an NG type rating and I am not expert in any of the NG systems. I have spent countless hours studying the manuals and documentation, but as Ryan mentioned I haven't been lucky enough to get any seat time in an NG or NG simulator. I am a SEL & MEL instrument rated private pilot with a bit over 700 hours of total time. I have experience in a number of single and multiengine GA aircraft including BE33, C210T, SR20, SR22 Perspective, BE55 & BE58. Last year I was in the right place at the right time and got…

We know some softwares that try to make FSX weather more real: winds, freezing, turbulence etc... But how real are they? I think most of them don't simulate real thunderstorms or the severe damages a thunderstorm can cause to an aircraft. Could a software integrate this "real" weather with PMDG's navigation display? Thanks,Teo Halfen

I have done a search on this forum and none of the answers are of help to me.I have windows 7 and i5 2500k .MSi motherboard p67a-GD55 with realtek audio. My speakers are Altec Lqnsing with a sub woofer.Just in case there was a problem there, I used other speakers with no improvement.I get an engine(?) sound whether the engines are on or of!Whether inside or outside. The only control is volume-nothing else.I can still hear the voices-pushback etc.but it is difficult and annoying with this noisy engine sound always there.I can't find any sound adjustment in the PMDG add on when I tab but when I go intotab-settings-sound there are various sound adjustments- engine-voice etc.Wh…

Hi,I'm just new on this forum and I've got a problem with FSXThe scenery takes some time to load and the FPS on certain Mega Airports are not so good. All this in just standard 737s or 747s, what is going to happen with the PMDG NGX then.... :( Can anyone help me?My system:ATI Radeon HD5830Intel Core Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.5GHz4,0 GB RAM Windows Vista 32-bit Prenium ASUS Vintage3 P5G31 S775I hope someone can help me, I am willing to spend money to make it work better but then what do you advise, a new processor or more RAM?Thanks in advance!

Skipping back a little to the "fly-by-wire" principles of the 737 NGX, what gives the best response regarding yoke-assignment? Is it better to put the FSX control settings off and callibrate with FSUIPC? Or is your programming based on FSX control settings alone? When it can be more realistic by your product, I'd like to fly it that realistic! The more I see about this bird, the more it's getting obvious that this "something else"!Greetings,Ype Reitsma

hello,I recently installed ORBX Coffs harbour with the update and noticed that in none of the quality payware planes the YSCH or YSCF is present. I firstly tested on MD 11 FMC, no success, then 747 FMC, no success and finally captain sim 757 and 767 FMC, no succes here too. I have the latest Airac cycle 1106 and have also installed all ORBX sceneries, inclusive of freewares and paywares, airports also. Any help would be appreciated as I really want to take off from this airport.

Hi guys. When the 737 NGX comes out, recommended requirements are, among other things a 1 Gig Graphics card. It was mentioned that the NGX and MD11 had similar needs. Now I have upgraded to an Asus P8P67 Pro, 2500K with 4 gig of memory but I still have an ATI 4850 with 512 meg. What is the difference you would see between a 512 and 1Gig card. I do intend later on to upgrade to a 460GTX or better but I would say that the NGX should be out before I get my new card. Cheers

Hello fellow captains, first of all, i hope this is in the right section. please feel free to move if needed.ok so today i was freaking out as to weather my computer will handle the much anticipated 737NGX. My solution to this problem was to purchase the J41 and see if my computer will handle this aircraft. I was never really interested in the J41 but just as a test, i purchased it and all i can say is WOWWWWWWW!!!! with the 747-400x with Orbx scenery, i get roughly 17-23 FPS. with the purchase of the J41, i expected less as the J41 has much more detail but boy was i wrong. The J41 performs way above my expectations and performs just like the default 737. I have barely ev…

Hello everybody.Firts post here, i would like know how the ngx will act in high altitude airports like La Paz, Cuzco and so on. I know that the ngx is certificated for 8400 ft landings and t/o but could we operate this beauty in those places. Perhaps some item in the fmc will allow us to intoduce any variation on the ngx. Is the presuritaton system prepared for these operations?Yes i know too much questions so close to the realese....sorry for my english. Thanks for build our dreamsCarlos.

All,Long-time lurker, first time poster...Very much looking forward to the 737NGX. PMDG has done a fantastic job with the pics and videos to whet our appetites! As I've never purchased a PMDG product before, I'm just wonder the best path to purchasing the product? I have a SimMarket account but also would consider purchasing through PMDG's store. Any benefit to either or an alternative? Is getting it on CD/DVD an option? Or does it really matter at all? Thanks!Sherm

OK so it's crazy Friday so here's a crazy suggestion. Instead of releasing the NGX manuals with the aircraft put the manuals out now and charge the cost of the NGX for the manuals and we get the plane free. Gives us something to study while we wait.I did say it was crazy ( but a helluva lot saner than some of the posts). :(

First of all I would like to congratulate you for this incredible airplane that you are developing. You are well known as Precision Manuals. All airplanes you do are awesome. For me you are the best airplanes developers in the flight simulation world.:( So here is my question:You know that in the PMDG 737 for FS2004 when the landing gear lever is possitioned in OFF you can see that is off only in the 2D panel but in the virtual cockpit you see it as UP possition and in some pictures you have posted of NGX I have seen the landing gear lever UP in flight, unless you have it possitioned intentionaly in UP possition. Why does it happen? And the 737NGX it's gonna be the same …

So in the spirit of all the new systems talk, i thought id pose this question. Im an over the road truck driver, and ovbiously i could carry a PC tower in the truck as i have the room to do so, however i dont have the power supply to do this. im in the process of switching to a new company and in the event that they do not allow power inverters id have to go to a laptop for my simming needs. SO that said im looking for a few good suggestions as to a good gaming laptop that will handle the load of FSX well. i already know that im not going to get the same performances as i would a desktop, but i want something close, that id be able to run it, REX and ASE on as well as my …
