I was looking at the RNAV runway 35R APP into KDEN today and I saw at the top of the chart it says RNP-0.3.I know that that means 0.3NM. BUT, in 737 I was flying the FMC said that my ANP is 0.04NM. So to the question. Does an aircraft's ANP vary? OR is it a constant value that never changes? Is an aircraft's ANP based upon something to do with IRS?

Almost ALL other FSX addons have this issue. UNREALISTIC taxi characteristics....On the NGX can you actually taxi on IDLE?This is quoted directly from the Boeing 737NG FTCM: "IDLE THRUST IS ADEQUATE FOR MOST TAXIING CONDITIONS" Another line directly from the FCTM: "A SLIGHTLY HIGHER THRUST IS REQUIRED TO BEGIN TAXIING"Will we actually be able to advance the throttles to around 40% N1 and be able to get rolling and then lower the throttles to idle to perform a normal taxi at low-moderately heavy gross weights(within the NGX)?Best Regards,

Okay, so in recent times we've heard alot about how the upcoming PMDG 737 will have very realistic brakes modeled, going as far as to model the cooling difference between the carbon and steel brakes however in FSX we leave the park-brake set while at the gate, doing our turnaround, however IRL, we release the parkbrake once we're in position and the ground crew have the chocks inserted. This allows for quicker cooling of the brakes and prevents them sticking to the wheels on hot days. So I suppose I have two questions here;1. Probably obvious but will the difference in cooling rate differ on whether or not the park brake is set at th gate or if the park-brake is off and w…

Hi everyone,I'm sorry if this is a bit off topic, but I understand the admins don't really have any trouble with members posting off-topics as long as it's aviation related. So , here's the question:i've always thought thtat Table Mountain, South Africa in FSX is just not like the real thing, but more like a random heap of earth. To solve this, I've downloaded the Aeroworx sa mesh packages, all of which seemingly installed perfectly fine, but when I start up FSX, I don't really see any change.Anyone who can solve my problem? Thanks in advance,

So apparently, Egypt Air turned onto the wrong taxiway and almost taxiied onto RWY 22R at the same time a Lufthansa plane was taking off. I wonder what was going thru the pilots head on that Egypt Air flight. Here's a link to more info and a listen to ATC:Info and ATC on that dayI can't really find a good recording of the incident but I hope I do. Share your thoughts. Also, if any mods want to move this to a different forum, then go ahead.

Hello, I wonder if anyone in the 'know' could answer a question for me, when using the PMDG 747 and active sky evo you have to disable turbulence effect on fsx when flying in order to stop the plane doing stange things like going from 200knts to 250 in seconds or loosing track of the flight plan, it document in Active Sky Evo also that you have to diable turbulence effect on PMDG planes. Will the 737ngx be an improvement? Will we be able to fly through the worse of skies bouncing around? Quite nice if you could.Anyone have any ideas?Regards, H

Hi,I asked about this before, but when starting up fsx with the J4100, a box comes up, wanting activation number before going on...most time I click out of it and it continues to load, all is well....now this time, I landed at an airport, saved it to default and now FSX wont open at all, the activation number box comes up and I click out of it, it doesnt automatically load as before...what number can I put in there to make it happy and thus continue to open and use FSX? Stumped easily. Rick Jones ellonysman

PMDG Team:Over the past year now I have become very fond of the expertise and the INCREDIBLE precision found withing your aircraft addons. I own your 747X and it is second to none on the level of realism.--Been flying it for a year now and I am still learning the extremely advanced systems... I have shown family friends and others pictures and videos of the upcoming release of the NGX.--(So far all of them have been STUNNED at the level of realism and quality of this product. They hardly could believe it was even a Sim!)A friend of mine couldn't distinguish the difference between the NGX and a comparison photo of a real NG cockpit..... I cannot even begin to tell you how …

Help!PMDG, in your YouTube videos, the quality is great, and the resolution remains at 1080, or some cases 720. I am interested in doing some really well done FSX videos, but I'm having some problems with Fraps. First of all, the AVI files from Fraps are huge (as would be expected), but which program and codec do you use to compress the videos without losing the quality or resolution. I have tried several programs and codecs, but the file usually still comes out huge, and the graphics are jaggy. Keep in mind that I'm a complete noob when it comes to video creation, and this is my first endeavor. Input?

PMDG,Hey guys, I've been a customer of yours for a very very long time (since 767 for Fly!), so I hope you'll support me with this issue. I built a new computer and the rebates are trickling in now, so I want to use them to buy the MD-11. The rebates are in the form of pre-paid credit cards, so I was wondering how I would purchase using a few of them. Thanks,Jeff

Hey All,I have the opportunity to get my hands on the above mention card second hand, and would like to hear your opinion on if it would make a sense to go for it?My current rig is as follows:CPU - QX9650 @ 3 GHz (not overclocked)RAM - 8gig DDR3 1600MhzMB - EVGA 790i Ultra SLIPS - 1000WGPU - Geforce 9800GTX+Do you reckon that the 560 TI would be worthwhile in my rig?ThanksRegardsRobert

Hi,I've just completed some middleware that allows me to link the Engravity CDU/FMS hardware to FSX and FSUIPC. I'm planning to modify the software so that the NGX and talk to this hardware also. Can you clarify if access to the FMS display and keypresses will be available in the SDK to allow me to do this. I'm hoping to share this software with the flight sim community .ThanksSteve Munn

Dear Robert,Great to see this highly anticipated aircraft coming along so nicely :biggrin:As stated by you on numerous occasions, the level of detail is going to be unsurpassed and none of us have any doubts about that. I was just wondering, will you be featuring another small "quirk" of the NG where a few of the Blue Annunciator lights are brighter than the others? As you know this is due to the higher voltage DC supply to these. Other than the obvious, I am sure it will be small things like these that will also help in setting the NG apart from anything else attempted before. Not that it has not already Regards,Dinshaw Parakh

Robert and PMDG TeamI have been a customer of PMDG from the time the 737 NG came out for FS9. I have been impressed with the planes produced by you and the PMDG team and have taken every oppertunitive to show others your products. With the level of the upcoming 737NGX and the attention to detail I must say I’m disappointed that you did not run for Governor of Nevada instead of Lt. Governor. I live in Nevada, (Las Vegas). If you were governor of this fine state (Other states are just a good) and ran it with the same attention to detail that you and your team have given this project, this state would not be in the shape we are in.I just retired last week and I’m looking forw…

Hello guys and girls.Sorry if I post in the wrong place but i figured that there are some phenomenal expertise on the 737NG on this forum so I give it a shot.I work at a regional airport in Sweden as an ATC and today when one of SAS B737NG came it descended way to early down to FL100 for a continious descend in ATCC airspace (border to uncontrolled FL95 outside our TMA). ATCC called us up telling us they didn't know why he requested descend so early. But no problem for us anyhow.Later when he had landed and taxied to apron we asked him why he was crusing at FL100 for aprox. 40-45 nm. The reason was according to him a malfunctioning fuel pump that caused them the need to b…

I know this question has probably been asked a dozen times and if there's a better post already established along these lines, please direct me there and forgive my ignorance.Right now I know enough to be able to fly a basic FMC pre-programmed route from takeoff to landing using SIDs and STARs. But I know I'm just scratching the surface and I want to get up to speed before the NGX is delivered. First and foremost...how are the SIDS and STARS that are used in a real world flight determined? For example, who dictates what SIDS and STARS I should fly? Does corporate issue a route from gate to gate based on weather or other factors and provide that to me via ACARS in adva…

Well gentlemens,Everybody knows that Xplane is starting to get better in his realism, compared to Microsoft's Flight Simulator, xplane is better in flight dynamics, sloped runways, birds, advanced failures system, etc..And we have a Newer version comming soon. But the only problem of Xplane flight sim is:There are no airplanes with the quality of a PMDG software!! I can count with one hand the number of good airplanes for Xplane FS!! And you know what was discovered?? You can use 3dsmax files on Xplane, what turns the job for PMDG easier, so they don't need to make an other flight model!! i know that this is not too simple, but if PMDG produce products for Xplane.. HA! It…
