dear pmdg,while flying your excellent j41, which has become even more enjoyable with the release of LINDA, two questions came to my mind. I hope some of you could perhaps answer them:1.i noticed that, when changing heading (making a turn with the autopilot) the yokes aren't animated to follow the turn. come to think of it, i don' t think i've ever seen that animated in fsx, will your 737 ngx feature this animation ? Will the new AMD bulldozer processors bring sandybridge to its knees? Is there anyone with the fsx expertise who may know if fsx could utilize all 8 cores and 16mb cache in the new AMD processors? I currently have a core 2 duo and seeking an upgrade... the only question now is either to go for Sandybrige or AMD's new Bulldozer series chips.

There have been numerous topics started, closed, deleted that had little or nothing to do with PMDG and some not even aviation-related. Just out of curiosity, I'd like to pose the following purely hypothetical scenario to PMDG...Suppose someone wanted to contract PMDG to produce an aircraft based on an existing GA plane for their own private use (not to be sold). Supposing this were a very specific model, with certain avionics & such, no other variants except the one specific configuration, and a single paint scheme. For a while this morning after messing about with my new Ram I came to the conclustion that I screwed up big time. I did something im not sure what it was and my PC became very sluggish and took forever to start and the FSX would crash during loading, other programs would not respond and I figured it was something wrong that I had done. I tried loading default fail safe settings and it made no change. I tried everything I could think of and then went to make a coffee and chill out.Then I remebered the night before windows took a while to shutdown bacause it was installing Service Pack 1! Ryan, I had an idea that may help all of us waiting for the final product. Instead of the constant begging here, you could soothe things out by releasing the user manual on a chapter by chapter basis. Think of it, instead of hearing folks whine about "another delay", you release a chapter or a topic of the user manual for download. Then, you could do another chapter several days later, etc.. until the product is released. It's like throwing a dog a bone. Folks will start asking for the next chapter, and not the plane, see? :(

Tiger Airways, an airline that flies both domestically in Australia and internationally to Singapore (where the company is based) was recently banned from flying any of its aircraft in Australia domestically. It does not affect the international arm of the airline. Apparently they've breached numerous safety regulations, such as flying too low approaches more than once and were served with a warning by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia (CASA) not long ago. Now they've been banned as the authority isn't confident that the airline has addressed all of the concerns in the previous warning. Hi,I live in a very hot humid place and this heat and humidity got me thinking, how hot do airports get during the summer? Like in a very hot humid place how hot does it get. And does it effect the aircraft. Like the density of the air and how much it effects the lift when taking off and landing. Also the engines, when temperatures are higher they have to use less thrust cause it can get really hot right? How does it compare to the winter time?

I noticed that he various wing graphics on the PMDG 747-400 stopped working visually. The ailerons, spoilers and flags do not move, while the controls work fine in flight. The cockpit shows the flap settings but nothing on the wing is moving. The only thing that is working is the flap track carriages will go up and down, but not the flaps themselves. Ailerons will not move either in any turns. I don't know what caused this. I set the FSX graphic settings on high, but has not done anything. I checked other forum posts on the same issue but everyone seems to say the "Advanced Animations" is not on. I cannot locate anything in the menus regarding "Advanced Animatio…

Hello.I just thought I'd share here a little link to a small but I hope interesting article. I went for a small trip in Amsterdam last week. And what I was going to do there was to fly a real Level-D class simulator of a Boeing 737-800. I flew PMDG 747-400X from FKSO to EDDF. I have my settings in FSX beteween Medium to High as to not to tax the frame rates, which will cause terrible frame rates id too many things set at high. I don't have many add-ons other than QW 757 and PMDG 747. On my flight, the frame rates were excellent from take off at KSFO all the way to EDDF, until I was on final approach at EDDF and the frame rates became really crappy! It was the same after landing and taxi to gate, making it difficult to control the plane on the taxi way. I don't know what caused this. Has anyone else had the same experience upon arrival from a long flight?Cray Foley

Anybody remember this? LOL, I remember powering my 777 through hails of gun fire, and my F-16 getting hit, by bullets the sound it would make filled my heart with pleasure. :Cry:Let us not forget the monosound, where only one sound was allowed to play at a time. Those were the days, and it was highly successful too, being free and all that, there aren't much people who do these things free anymore however, because of the trouble necessary to make them, but the game was truly a great experience :(

Hi,I've been running FSX SP2 with no issues. I recently did a full clean install having built a new computer (thanks to Ryan’s advice on this forum) and have all add-ons fully installed. Has anyone had any issues upgrading to FSX Acceleration, has it caused any problems? I don't want to try it and find I then have a multitude of issues, forcing an unnecessary re-install.

I have read that, after 737 NGX, the next on the list to be produced by PMDG will be Boeing 777. I just wonder why not focusing straight on the Dreamliner 787 ?Boeing 777 started its career around 16 years ago and despiting it is a good plane I would believe that the brand new 787 Dreamliner will be more appropriate to produce, above all considering that seeing 737 NGX development time I am pretty sure the next one will be released not before 2015 when 787 will be more sexy than a 20 years old 777. IMO.Do you share the thought or do you agree with PMDG ?
