Hello, I am new to this forum, and I managed to find the PMDG forums so I thought I'd ask here.First of all, I am using the REX Contrails alongside with my REX 2.0 and other add ons. My aircraft is a PMDG 747X.Here is the problem.On other aircraft such as default fsx aircraft and freeware add ons/payware, they seem to be using the REX 3D Contrails which I have correctly installed. Next, when I loaded up my ACARS and started my VA's Scheduled Cargo flight, I waited as per normal for my 744 to hit cruise altitude and switch to outside view to see the contrails, to my dismay, it is not using the REX 3D Contrails, instead, it is using some 2D contrails which are my goodness, …

Hello everyone,I think something cool would be to include a preflight inspection on the NGX. It can be simply done through views of the different parts that need to be checked and you would include the command key to those views on the FMC. Wouldn't it be interesting?

Ok so very simple does NGX even need EDZOK for the head effects.

To Tabs or anyone else that cares to answer, what do the speed and altitude intervene buttons on the MCP do? All I could find was this "ALT & SPD INTV buttons for FMC hard speed and alt restraints". It also said they are an airline option. So what do they allow the pilot to do and when would they be used?Hiram Hunt

Dear PMDG, since you decided not to model the NGX weather radar (with good reasons), why don't you remove the weather radar plate in the cockpit so that we don't end up with non-functional buttons ? That could be that the option had been removed from the aircrfat ?? ... and then, all switches and buttons would be functional ! :( Just my 2 cents..

One of the "issues" i've dealt with in the past with complex airliners is that when Active Sky is used for my weather, the autopilot chases the flight path and ends up over correcting... With the fidelity of the NGX, the ground up build, and the new platform... Have yall noticed any improvement in this arena?Cheers!

Hi,is manual reversion modeled in the NGX or is it even possible to replicate itwithin FSX? What I mean is, does it in any way affect the steering forces you need in FSX. Regards Sven

you're a passenger and the crew have become unconscious (food poisoning) and you're being asked to take over and land the real-life NG, since you're the only passenger that has many hours of flying the NGX in sim-life. Suppose you are indeed that extremely experienced flightsimmer. do you stand a chance. Conditions are normal, wheather conditions are perfect, ATC is very co-operative and you still have plenty of time before reaching TOD and you're familiar with the destination airport? Evening,Which model of the Rockwell Collins hgs is modeled in the ngx. We have the 2900 installed in a few -8's that ill be recertifying in the coming weeks. Very curious to see how the real-life hgs compares to the ngx..ThanksJR

I have a question about multiplayer use of the NGX... When I sim online a big pet peeve of mine is the aircraft lights not syncing between the simmers that are in the session.Say I have my lights set one way, and my buddy has his set one way. In the sim, his plane would look completely dark, even though he has lights turned on in his session... anyway....If this can be answered yet...Say I am flying the NGX online, and someone else in the session is as well... What version of their plane will I see? If they turn the satellite (or any external model feature) on and off during flight, would I also see those changes real time locally within my FSX?

Hello,Since my last post got deleted I'll try and repost using my full name this time.... My question... Will the NGX feature a persistant damage model? At the moment my most add-ons are Marcel Feldes Katana 4x, A2A Spitfire and B17 and IRIS F-14 and that is only because they include a maintenance hangar, persistant damage modelling (and calculated damage/failures according to usage) and in the case of the Tomcat, compressor stalls. Are failures in the NGX done in the way they are in the MD-11 and previous PMDG products (random, timed and set) or are there new features ot look forward to? Hi fellas,I have a p8p67 i5 2500k rig and i just boosted it to 4,8ghz (i was at 4,6). i have set the cpu voltage on manual to 1,3v and the system seems to be stable at 1,3v for 4,8ghz. But the thing is that now my vcore is constant all the time : at idle and full load at 1,29 1,3. The question is: is this a good thing?Kaman BA
