I remember way back. (Had to be the first or second NGX post. JAN 2010 maybe?)I've searched all the NGX threads that i could find, but could not find anything relating to this... A poster pointed out something that was shown in a picture ( i believe something on one of the displays in the VC) that was in an NGX post. RSR said something about "good catch, there will be more of these things to look for in future posts, and the posters who catch them will get "something" "Does anyone else remember something like that, or am i nuts?

  9. Hello,First of all, many thanks for uploading some new screenshots of the lovely 737NGX. Got some new energy for now to study math after making a 3 houres chemistry exam. Looking forward to the video! =)My questions are- Where is the clipboard with the checklist? It's blank now, just black. It gives some more detail to add the checklist decals at the clipboard. (see attachment)- Are we able to put some charts and papers at the clipboard just for eye-pleasure and realism.- If we are able to choose for a dirty cockpit with bread crumbs, how about not to forget some beer.. euh I mean a bottle water in the cockpit next to a seat. Just to blow some more life into the cockpit.-…

  11. A simply question how do you use the throttle during take off with a boeing tipe ? If i follow procedures i have to move it around 40 % with AT armed then to press TO/GA button but i have noticed that if i take throttle at 40 % position TO/GA doesn't works i hve to press TO/GA in idle position o to move trottle to 100 % for AT working. What's the correct procedure ?

Everytime I fly in a real airliner in real life I have always noticed that when they pilots pull the plane onto the runway and spool up the engines the packs are completely silent. It is that they turn off the packs during the t/o? or do the engines just "hog" all the noise in the cabin during the t/o roll?If they aren't turned off and this is just an illusion to me, is this modeled properly in the NGX?- What I am trying to say is when the engines are ready for t/o and you spool em up for t/o and engage TO/GA thrust is the engine sound dominant during the takeoff roll?

Hi all!Today I've gone to jump into the 747 but I got an error. At first I just ignored it (even though it crashed FSX) but after a few times I realised this problem wasn't going to leave me alone. After some investigation I found the article in the Knowledge Database, read and checked it and went through the dll.xml. ......But to no avail.........If anyone would be helpful enough to shed some light and a solution to this really annoying problem that would be appreciated.Errors-1. Hi everyone,I just finished my flight on ivao and encountered ONCE AGAIN this graphical pb: who can tell me what this is exactly . i faced this issue when i used to sim on my old laptop but also on my imac 27 and now on my new machine so i guess this has to be with the plane itself. And im really tired to face this. Any help would be much appreciated.Regards Kaman BA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5yFWfiGZlA

Hi allFirstly apologies if this is posted in the wrong forum.I will shortly be receiving a new PC specifically to run FSX and the much anticipated NGX see the spec shown below for further info. The system will have an Intel® Core™i7-2600 Quad Core (3.40GHz) which I believe I could safely overclock and as such I have three questions.1 - Is there actually any need for me to do any overclocking - ie would I see any substantial improvement in performance.2 - By overclocking do I substantially increase the risk of something failing.3 - Is overclocking straightforward for a non expert to achieve.I appreciate that performance is subjective and risk is relative but just wondered w…

Dear Beta Testers :( First of all, I'd like to tell you how much I envy your position. Well, let's be happy with what life gives you (that's what I tell myself every morning)... but still, I really wish I could be part of the team... remind me of saturdays when I am consistently sitting on the bench during basketball games... :( But after all, PMDG is a US based company. I heard money could buy everything in the US (true, rich guys can get out of jail paying million of dollars bail) so why doesn't PMDG launch an auction for let's say 10 beta testers copies... breaking my pink porcelain pig, I could easily get 200 dollars out of it ! :( ..... well I guess you won't su…

In all PMDG's efforts creating the ultimate airliner experience, I can't hardly imagine they didn't get this covered, but I can not recall reading about this previously (though with all the activity on this forum, I might have missed one or two posts :( ).In real life, most (all?) airliners only need some additional thrust to get rolling, but during taxi idle thrust is sufficient to keep rolling. In fact, with some aircraft, they need to additionally brake from time to time, since idle thrust already generates to much speed (Fokker 70 and some biz jets have this "problem").From countless jumpseat rides in a real NG, I know the NG pilots only move the throttles a little b…

  22. In a nutshell - what you are producing is a sim based aircraft that will behave like a Level D sim/training based on the real NG aircraft: only that its being delivered on a platform thats accessible to the wider public. Please, and this for 'your' HARD WORK - compile some form of document(s) that can be used to try & test all 7 million,350 thousand and 816 lines of code that have gone into this to demonstrate how the aircraft behaves (and looks). This is going to be a world first (thats a given), let it be used & simuulated as intended - so 'you' the team are/can be rewarded with the modelled sytems being utilised as they were designed for: accuracy and detail.Look…

Hi all. I can't get my i7 920 stable @ 4.2ghz due to heat but it runs great at 4ghz. My cooling setup is a H50 in a push pull config. My aim originally was to get over the 4.2ghz mark so my thoughts where to go the cheaper option buy purchasing a i7 960 and o/c that rather spend more on the i5 2500k and a new mobi. What would be a better option?Pete Walsh.
