I'm nearly certain that there are some USAF fans in here. This link to the virtual tour was presented in another forum and I thought I'd pass it along. http://nmusafvirtualtour.com/full/tour-pkg.htmlSeveral tips to get you started:1. Click on any dot on the Map to see what's around you at that point.2. You can "x off" the map for an unobstructed view of the planes. A small "Map" icon is available in the corner of the screen so you can easily go back to the overall view whenever you want.3. Take a walking tour of the Museum by clicking on the Blue Arrows on the floor to move through each building. Pretty amazing stuff.4. Click on the aircraft to get more info.Cre…

Hey guys - Since I'm flying mostly on Vatsim these days, it's probably time to update my AiRACs... I've been on the Navgraph website and find it somewhat convoluted... Could somebody tell me:1) How much does it cost to stay current in USD (the credit system drives me nuts)2) What installer/downloads/and or procedures I need to follow to updateThanks!

Dear PMDG,The wingview and the mechanism within the wing screenshots posted on the forum a few months ago looks promising, also the responses of Ryan to several questions about the wingflexibility when taxiing and flying sounds very promising. I assume that I'm not the only one who's very curious to see these "promising screenshots and responses of Ryan" in action. In other words, can we expect a video about the wings soon related to flaps, slats, flexibility, lights, reflections and more?Already many thanks for response,

Hi Team!Maybe this is a bit geek but i was thinking... Can you give us access to your bug tracking system? (Maybe bugzilla?) If we have access, we can track the beta bug squashing process, and see the progress. After the product is released, we can use such system to post our bug reports and see bug reports from other users too.I find it very interesting. Maybe because as a developer and avid linux user, im used to such systems.

PMDG Team:I have a setup that is triple-screens and is powered by ATI EyeFinity. When I fly in the 747-4/8i I get a glitch to where when I attempt to go to the 2D cockpit or any other panel my cursor starts going nuts and my FPS goes down to like 3-4FPS. Also note that the panel does NOT show up either. Is there any possible way that you could help me with this because I love my 747 but I am unable to fly it because of this issue. Also keep in mind that the RES I am using is 5670/1080. It is 3 Acer 23 inch screens. Thanks for the help

When I watched the external model of the 747 or MD11 on landing the slats, flaps ailerons etc were never how they actually were when on the original approach. Does anyone understand what I mean and will NGX have same problem. Personally I find this a big issue.p.s I believe JS41 got this external replay problem corrected.

Will the NGX's SDK allow the FMS to be extended, for example to have ACARS functionality added? I'd love to have VA ACARS go through the FMS, or for a VATSIM pilot client to go through it(should one ever be created without being abandoned :) )

Just curious, but I am wondering about the first and last name policy. I've noticed that from time to time it seems that the policy has gone out the window so to speak, while other times it is enforced vigorously? There have been a lot of posts in the past few days that have been replied to directly by Ryan or Vin, even in the support sections, where the poster didnt put there name and nothing was said. Other times those posts will be deleted. So has this policy been relaxed or is it only necessary to put your whole name if actually seeking support? Otherwise I dont understand the inconsistancy in the enforcement of this policy.Jim Burke

Just saw a pic of the Presidential Boeing 747 - more popularly known as Air Force One. Just wondering why the USAF would continue maintaining and flying such an old aircraft (it's a B747-200 that still has a flight engineer) when a new 747-8i would provide them with considerable savings in both cost and time spent in maintenance. It's not like the US government couldn't afford a couple of new jets to transport the President around in.

I saw many people requesting pics of 2d panels. I always wondered why people want these anyway. The virtual cockpit is soooooo much better then 2d (well, in my humble opinion). People are always wondering if the plane is realistic. 2d isn't, right? So why an 2d panel?

Gentleman, I have been wondering what the community's response would be to a poll regarding what airplane they would fly in real life. For the purposes of keeping it simple I have only included the PMDG airplanes that are current or relatively immanent. :( I am interested in what aircraft you would fly IF you were a real life pilot. I am also interested in WHY you would choose that. I have thought about this from time to time and have come to the conclusion that despite loving the long haul aircraft like the 747 and the T7in the sim, in a real life job the long haul aircraft would be too tedious. I imagine that the 737-800 would be my choice based on the fact that a pil…

Hi everyone,I would like to share with you my system upgrade experience. Actually i was running FSX on my imac 27 2.8Ghz but i was getting poor performances especially when flying on most of the addon sceneries: i encountered a lot stuttering, graphic corruption or crash to desktop just because the machine wasn't powerful enough and the graphic card was just not appropriate (ATI 4870). So for those who who want to buy an imac to run FSX using bootcamp, i did it myself and i have 3 words for you: JUST FORGET IT !!! Being very frustrated i decided to submit a ticket at PMDG and Ryan was kind enough to help me get the best components on the market to build my own system. I …

I've run into the circular computer page syndrome trying to order the 747 sim. I log in fine and go to check-out. I check the "I understand blah blah" button and then "continue". All it does is reload the page. I wasted an hour trying to find an email to communicate with customer service or some way around to just check out and pay for the damn thing, but . . . . .Anyway, would you be kind enough to notify customer service that I'm having problems?email: removed for securityThanksJD

Hi there, Ive been parousing computer systems, and was just curious if anyone had spent the money for a Jetline system, or had built one themselves without spending the ungodly amount that can be spent on one. And if so if one could compare it to the notorious Sandy Bridge Ive been hearing about. Thanks.PS heres a link to jetline for those of you who havent seen it.http://www.jetlinesy....com/index.html
