Hi I have been getting the TCAS2V7.dll CTD lately on approach using MD-11 into EGSS (Stansted) and other Airports sometimes.I have also had it using the 747.I googled the crash and many post says make sure your TCAS2V7.dll file in the route FSX folder is up to date.I assume that both the PMDG 747 and MD-11 both share the same file: TCAS2V7.dll Well I found mine in the root folder and it says TCAS2V7.dll --- 28 April 2007Is this the most up to date? If it is not can anyone please tell me where I can download the latest one.Any help much appreciated

Hello all,I am back from my short term vacation and I have friendly question about the 737. What I am curious about (those of you who know me im sure your thinking im about to talk about the release XD ) today is not anything about release, it is about the actual aircraft. I was wondering what models come with HUD, and When do you use it? I would like to know everything about the HUD on the 737 and how real pilots operate it so I can feel like a real pilot of the 73G when it finally comes out. Sadly all I am the pilot of is a beat up C172, but hey, flying is flying and I am happy with what I get.THnAnkS.

Whenever I am on a 737 (of any kind), or for that matter, most planes that I have been on, when on approach (usually short final) the airplane produces contrails but not coming from the ends of the wings, rather from the middle of the wing, near the the flaps.Here is a video to describe what I mean (goto about 2:20 for the best view of this). Looking at the pictures on facebook and others that have been posted, I just started to wonder when/why those different spots produce the same effect? The only fs addon that does this for me is my Quality Wings 757 and I don't know if any of the others should.ThanksRegards

Hey gurus,just asked myself if the NPS indications were actually an airline selectable option, or maybe they are tied to the new Collins AFDS? Thing is, when I once flew one of the NGs with the older Honeywell MCP a couple years ago I simply cannot remember to have noted any NPS indications, nor can I find them on any picture I took. I understand they should be visible during descent only, but I just double checked and they were really not there. Just being curious if they are a complete independent option (regardless of other installed systems) or tied to some other system selection.

Can any of you that have third party traffic add-ons give me their opinion of which one they like best? Particularly which one seems to have the lowest FPS hit. I tried the demo for the Flight 1 traffic with the J41 and took me down into the single digits FPS. When I turned the view away from the traffic I shot right back up to 25 FPS in the VC. I really want to enjoy traffic again. I had it on FS9 on my old computer and it ran fine without a major FPS hit. Are the FSX traffic programs just so detailed that they eat resources? I was thinking about purchasing active camera for my PMDG 737-900. I was wondering if it works in the 2D model. It would be nice to look left in the cockpit view in much the way it is done in 3D without using the left arrow key on the keyboard. 3D uses too much computer resources. If it doesn't work in the 2D cockpit view is the purchasing of active camera still worth the money (cheap as it is)?Thanks,Chris Porter

Hi all,We all know how much all PMDG members are professional: thats the reason why i contacted them via the Ticket system on the product support page and Ryan Maziarz was kind enough to give me all the technical informations i needed to buil my own system. Man, he didnt miss a single detail, the explanations were detailed as hell. He helped me with the components from the GPU to the RAM to the HD to the graphic card .......screen and all. Is it me or does it seem like were in some kind of Flightsim plateau at this moment. Nothing really big has been recently released. Basically everyone is on there heels waiting for the NGX, fsdreamteam KLAX, Aerosoft Airbus apdate, ect.

Now I have windows 7 64 bit and other good hardware, is itworth running in directx 10 or 11? Is there any advantagewith FSX or PMDG (mainly MD11 at present)?David

hello all!i was searching for a long time how to resolve the clic problem causing a ctd of fsx with uiautomationcore.dll.I've tried many solutions found on differents forums (put the old uiautomationcore.dll in fsx directory or replace the c:\windows\system32\uiautomationcore.dll by the old one, replace the c:\windows\syswow64\uiautomationcore.dll by the old one and both) with no sucess.yesterday i've tried another thing on a forum suggesting to delete (after having make a backup) this dll, and i have to say that's the only thing that semms to work!I've made a little .bat that rename the uiatomationcore.dll in system32 and syswow64 for the time i use fsx and restore them …

Hello, just a note to those interested that the Airac1104 from Navigraph is missing the airport EDDI (Templehoff) in Germany. It is listed in the NDac for charts which I downloaded and set up MD11 for a flight from EGPF-EDDI but when loading the FMC I got the message -not in data base-. Hello erveryone!For the upcoming releases of PMDG i'm looking forward to upgrade my CPU.At the moment i'm running on an i7 920@ 2,67 Mhz.Is there a way to just switch to a faster CPU without changing things like Motherboard and stuff? The investigators say the black box is still in good condition and will be taken to paris. In several days the investigators will start to record what happened. I posted this problem right when the -8 came out and it was left unanswered. I am gonna bring it back with a better picture as people said there was no problem. Anyways, the right truck of wheels, the texture I think is messed up.Clearly on the left side of the picture those wheels are different than the right.

Does anyone know on which line number Boeing started putting the SFP spoilers on every NG? I had read they were going do that but I didn't know they already did. I was watching some awsome videos by Hakuto0505 on his youtube channel, and I noticed a fairly new JAL Express 737-800 whose spoilers deployed to the SFP spoiler angle. It's really easy to tell when you watch which one has it and which ones don't. On the one's that don't only the outboard spoiler goes all the way up. The others are at a shallower deployment angle.I have one other question if anyone knows the answer. Is there a light or message in the 800/900/900ER in the cockpit if you tailstrike on takeof…

Hi guys, I'd like to know if; for example, when an airline orders a new aircraft like the 747-8i/F can it have the option to have its cockpit configured like a 747-400? With the CRT gauges, older (green text) FMC's and classic MCP's?Something tells me its possible, but I'm not entirely sure.If you wonder why I'm asking this is because I feel weird when I fly my -8i with the older 747-400 cockpit systems, but if it's something possible, It will feel more realistic. :PThanks for the info :)

So whenever I let my computer just sit without me using it for awhile it will go to "sleep" and my power button will blink green until I hit the keyboard, mouse or the power button, and then the computer wil turn on again, sorta. Well my problem is that when the computer "wakes up" (powered back on). My keyboard, moused does not work. and my moniters will stay in the "sleeping" mode as if the computer is turned off, but the computer is turned on.I am running windows 7 ulimate 64-bit system. Any possible solutions??Thanks
