Here's the blurb from the PMDG Dev schedule: SourceAt PMDG we tend to be a bit cagey about the products we have in development. We do have some long term projects that have been published as "under development" and these are as follows:1. PMDG 737NGX: The lastest generation of our popular 737 product line. This product will include all four body types of the 737 NG series, an incredibly detailed virtual cockpit, wide screen 2D panels, advanced lighting and animation, a Heads Up Display, and lots of other goodies that we'll unveil as they are completed.2. PMDG 777: This product is under very low rate development right now. We are currently coordinating some long lead it…

Hi,I was looking for some advice regarding graphics cards.I have currently got a ati - HIS HD5750 1GB card.I am getting respectable frames in FSX with little or medium amounts of aa/afI want to increase my aa/af as I hate jaggies and stuttering. But increasing them leaves me with frame rates of 1-5fps from 20fps - ishIs this related just to the graphics card or does the cpu also affect this. If it is the gpu what cards offer the best performance within a budget of say 150€ - 200€Cheers,

Ok so because PMDG seem to have a close relationship with orbx. Wouldn't it be great for consumer and seller(s) if they did package deals. Like orbx could give two airports at a considerable discount along with a PMDG plane. Now not only would these airports make sense for particular plane, but it could be part of the PMDG tutorial or MIssion. Point being the two high fidelity airportsAre incorporated giving users a somewhat ultimate experience.

I'm thinking about getting a dedicated hard drive for FSX. Right now I have 1TB (2 500GB HDDs on RAID 0) I might go for another 1TB (single) or an SSD. My problem is this: I don't know much about hard drives (please don't laugh). Since I have a raid array, does it affect subsequent drives I install, or can I just put in another drive and that's ok? please someone advise me. Whatever drive I'm getting now will be dedicated to FSX, so I need pieces of advice based on this. Also, what size would be ideal, if I decide to go with a solid state drive? What RPM would be optimum if I went with the normal drive?Thank you in advance.

I'm experiencing a CTD with FS2004, but I'm not sure what the issue is. Drivers are current, just downloaded and installed. What's happening is I can start the aircraft's engines and taxi out no problem - external views and cockpit views work fine. I have noticed that after some time with the engine going, the aircraft first goes grey (inside and out, except for the instruments on the panel) then eventually everything freezes. I can't shut down normally but have to do a ctrl-alt-delete instead. The error message I get after shutting down the sim says I have a "hungapp." I've tried deleting some scenery which could be eating up RAM while the sim is running, but am at…

I love the quality and realism we get from REX 2.0 for FSX, so decided to share a screenshot that I think is pretty good that I took with my 747-8X. Great product by both companies!

Got a new PC , installed in FSX Wilco PIC Airbus, then PMDG, now no textures in texture files in PMDG 747.Just read the forum and PMDG site. I know what the cause is, but before I send a copy of the dll.xml file to PMDG for correction I have a couple of questions.Does the corrupted file affect other products than aircraft sceneries, is it unique to PMDG or other pay or free-ware ( like AI, WOAI etc.)When FSX comes up it asks if I want to install the 3 files mentioned on PMDG, I have said no as I do not have any add=on textures to fly anyway. Does this message come up with a none-corrupted XLM file. Will the new file allow Wilco and PMDG ( and newer still to install aircraft…

Captains-As you have no doubt noticed, we have slowed the tempo of what can best be described as: "PMDG 737NGX Show and Tell" during the first part of 2011...This is a deliberate decision in part because we are so darn busy with wrap-up, and also in part because we decided to play our cards a bit closer to the vest in order to roll out some really stunning finish details right before we tell you that you can pick up your new PMDG 737NGX and launch off on your first post-delivery flight.I thought I'd give you a short update on what exactly we are doing as we wrap the PMDG 737NGX up for release.STATUS OF THE AIRPLANE:=======================At this point, I think it is safe…

Hi everyone,I was flying today with the Jetstream and I was on a 10 mile final for KBUR from KLAS. I got a CTD and I was wondering if anyone else has seen this happen. There were 2 errors. I don't know if it was related to the Jetstream or what it was. My specs are in my sig. I was back to stock clocks at this time. I have uiautomation, Bojote's tuning tool, and Ryan's Nvidia tweaks. No addon scenery. I was on VATSIM at the time. Very frustrating, was 5 minutes from shutting down. ugh! Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated. Here is my report from event viewer.Log Name: ApplicationSource: Application ErrorDate: 4/20/2011 1:09:10 PMEvent ID: 1000Tas…

Its great to hear that there will be a return of FANCON this year in DC. I was wondering if PMDG will be hosting any NGX specific events at the conference? Hopefully the NGX will have been out for several months by then :( and it would terrific if PMDG staff held some in-depth Q&A sessions.Charlie Felix - KSBP

I've been sitting in the floor with my cat for the last two hours while she's been going through a tough labor. I assisted in the delivery of #1 a short time ago. I looked at the clock to see how long it had been and it was 7:37. I need an NGX appropriate name for 737 kitteh.

I love flying the jets and wonder if anyone could advise which is easier to learn out of the aircraft pmdg make and which of the aircraft is better on framerates when using addon scenery (orbx)Thanks for any responces

Hi allI realise that probably everyone knows this and i'm being a little slow off the mark - but if you haven't already i'd really recommend you use Bojote's FSX tweak tool at http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.htmlMy FPS has shot up from 20fps to 50fps in VC (MD-11) and from 40fps to 150fps in spot plane view (also md-11!!).Do it now and watch your FSX performance sky-rocket!!!That is allNick
