I was told that I should set my FPS to unlimited in order to get better frame rate but every time I do this the graphics setting under display settings goes to zero. This is after a new PC build and new windows 7 install so I get fly the new NG. I get jagged edges as well and cant seem to get rid of them. Is it possible to have both FPS and graphics at top end how do you get rid of jagged edges?

Hey guys, first of all, I want to say how excited I am for the NGX and that you folks here at PMDG are really doing something incredible for the FS community... Thank you. So I know that nobody really likes these personal Hardware topics but I would like to ask some of the wise users (and devs) here a question. So my specs are: Dell Inspiron 537Intel Core2 Duo E7500 @ 2.93GHz4GB RAMATI Radeon HD 4350Windows 7 64 bit and I would like to know if upgrading my video card or RAM would be helpful to run FSX better. Currently I am averaging anywhere from 17-25 fps (I set the fsx limiter to 38 which my game reaches at cruise if there aren't any intense clouds). I know that the …

Hi Guy's,A topic over on the BA Virtual forums reminded me of a company in Japan that produce some cheap high end equipment for FS9/FSX Here's the link - http://web1.kcn.jp/soujukan_koubou/koubou/koubou.htmI spoke to them last year and they dont ship outside of Japan but nothing stopping anyone going over there and picking this stuff up. Well I still have a ID90 and ID50 ticket available to anywhere I want, and since Japan has been on my list for a while I was thinking of checking it out with my girlfriend. So firstly, does anyone on here speak Japanese? As mentioned I have spoken to them but it would be great if I could have someone translate for me as certain things did…

Hi Guys,Just wondering if you would know why fsx comes up with the following error when starting up:"FSX process not found.FSX_handle:0"Ive gone to the fsx dll.xml and disabled all the other addons, rechecked them and they all work fine including the PMDG addons, until i reactivate the fs recorder. Then the error comes up again. There is a conflict somewhere.... Does anyone know how to fix this. Ive tried to get support from FLIGHT1, but I cant seem to get any response.....Thanks for the help. :)

Hi Robert,I just have a few questions relating to the NGX. With release now not too far away (no, I'm not asking for a date), would it be possible for you or someone at PMDG to release some detailed information on what we're going to get for our money when we buy the NGX? For example, besides the 737-600, -700, -800, -900 models, will there be any BBJ or military variants included? Will different engines be modelled? Which liveries will we be able to download from the PMDG website? Are there any tools included such a fuel planning, flight planning, takeoff performance (like TOPCAT) and load management? While not dreadfully important, out of curiosity, will there be openin…

First of all, I think you guys are doing an awesome job and I´m really looking forward to the NGX which I´m sure is going to be a masterpiece, just like the previous ones (I own the 747-400 and the JS41 and I they are the only aircraft I fly). And it´s because I fly the JS41 that I have to insist on asking for raindrops on the windshield in the VC. Sometime ago PMDG (I think it was Robert, but I´m not sure) stated that raindrops were not an option for the NGX because the experience is somewhat faulty in the JS41 and to do it properly would mean to animate every single drop individually.Well let me say something, the only fault I see in the JS41, which is done the FS9 way …

Is there any news or update on the potential for an SDK for the new NGX? I would hate to see this usable by only 'desktop' simmers and not the many many cockpit builders. Fingers crossed while I wait like many others. :)Rob Archer

Hi Guys,Here's a topic that's for a bit of fun while we turn into the final straight waiting for the NGX.Basically the idea is to create a video of your last few flights ending at Boeing field, where theoretically you'd pick up your spanking new 737ngx.Be interesting to see all the different places used as planes make the final charge down to KBFI.Plus it will keep those finding the wait to much to bare.. BusyHere's my effort.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roXxrOEEElM720P it..apologies for those who have already seen it hidden away in another thread on here earlier this week :)

Hi,Whats included in the ngx. Is it the 737-600 -700 -800 -900 included or are they sold separately? For fs2004 they had one with the -600 -700 and another one with the -800 -900. So what types of models will be included in one set. Also is it going to be sold as a disk or just a download. I prefer the disk better than downloadsJoe Barton

Reading through some of the available 737 pr0n around the net I found a comment in one document that talks about situations in which the aircraft must land at the nearest suitable airport. One of these situations is where there is only one main AC power source remaining, e.g. one engine or the APU.In other words, if both engines are toasted and you're running on just the APU you may not use your discretion and continue the flight Captain, you must land at the nearest suitable airport. What on earth did Boeing think might happen that they felt it necessary to spell that one out ?? :( :(

Hello!I am looking for some input for using a low end computer with fsx and the 737ngx. My computer has an intel core duo e6400 dual core 2.13 processor, 2 gm ram, nvidia geforce 7300le, and windows vista ultimate 32bit. Does great with fs9 and all the addons I have for fs9 but is not a gaming machine. I am not interested in nice high frame rates. I also do not care about nice scenery, weather, other traffic, etc. I would be happy running fsx with the 737ngx and just a runway, dirt, and blue sky. Is this at all possible with such a computer?ThanksAdam Cole

Hi guys, just did a fresh install of windows 7 and fsx along with all the addons. Followed the process: http://www.simforums.com/forums/topic34141_post198187.html#198187 Was wondering what you all get with the pmdg 747 and orbx scenery(ybbn if possible) and rex. Im doing slight changes to cfg etc and relaunching fsx to the test flight which has the 747 parked at a gate at the orbx ybbn during the day with a few clouds..... Getting around 15-20fps. Id hate to think what it would be with rain etc....

I dont know if this has been covered already. I think I remember Robert mentioning something about NGX keeping information of the flights we do in order to keep track of the cycles, kind of a maintenance logbook. Am I right?I've been thinking that given the detail in which the NGX is being made it could be useful to have an "ageing model". It seems to me there is so much work and detail we will never see or even imagine running behind scenes int he form of code, so many formulas being computed, such an elaborate code being put together.. It would be a shame not to use it's full potential giving it some power over the experience. So hear my idea: What if the performance of …

  22. Question for PMDG staff:I plan to go to Las Vegas for 6 weeks. It might be an idea to buy the PMDG-NGX Chief Pilot's flight manual set and have it delivered in the hotel. Can you tell me what the weight of the entire package is without the box please?Could you also tell me the weight of the 737-NGX Captain's Flight manual set?Best Regards,Bertrand Van BulckBelgium.

You kno what would be really cool and helpful? If PMDG or some other source made an interface to be able to use the CDU from an iPad, so you don't spend hours zooming and clicking or bringing up the pop up windows!

Dear PMDG,I have been a long time customer. I know your policy on your products' download availability but I was stolen my backup HDD a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday, I had to reinstall my whole system and would like to know if you could still provide me with the download links of at least 2 of my purchases (747X and J4100).. I don't even ask for the MD-11...Thank youGregory

Hi Robert and team, just a quick post with a query for you. I've seen some developers in FSX adding a heat blur effect from the rear of the engines and APU on some aircraft to simulate this effect as seen in the real world. Just wondering if we will see this in the NGX? It's not THAT important, but personally for me it falls into the category of "things that would be nice to have".
