While I haven't posted much about testing, I've been testing the 748 quite extensively in conjunction with Global Flight Operations. For once, however, I remembered to snap a few pictures. A lot of the things I've been doing in Global Flight Ops require having a flight in the air to test the work. With some of the other devs occasionally checking planes out, I can sneak in work while they're up, which is usually accompanied by crews getting random messages... How long before the 747-8 is released? Every day to see if PMDG BBS news, good to look forward to 748 release.

The other day I was flying an approach into EHAM I was on short final and still not getting any DME from the ILS in the PMDG 777. I thought it may be something to do with the airport so yesterday I conducted a 2 hr flight from EGLL to ESSA and still no DME for the whole approach and landing. Anyone know why? - Jacob Sutton

I know PMDG has mentioned the rain effect in the past but has it been implemented? I am not seeing it on my sim. Any ideas?

Good evening. It is possible to change the e-mail adress from the PMDG Store? I no longer use the e-mail used to buy the PMDG products. When i was on site to Log ON, they changed the "schematics" of log in and sent me a link to reset the password. But i do not use that e-mail anymore (it was not a free e-mail, was 8 us dollars per month) and i can't reset the password to log in and download again my aircrafts for backup. Having just received LJA from Haeco fresh from her "C" check... here we are pushing from the CP Cargo Terminal, next stop Anchorage! With B737 & B777 operating flawlessly, I made the upgrades (v1.20.8886) and (v1.10.8886) (using PMDG OPs Ctr) that went with no problems. Both aircraft start up with all displays in black, joystick inop and mouse not clicking anything (but the yoke that goes up and down). Chase Plane views working OK, FSUIPC5 (5.14) still there, Simconnect ( 4.1.0.0) reran. P3Dv4 4.1.7.22841 Please help

Hello, I would like to know if I were to purchase the boxed version 777-200 base package for P3D via Aerosoft and then later purchased the 777-300ER package as a download from PMDG, are there any compatibility or support issues to be concerned about between these two vendors/media? I assume I would have to approach one or the other supplier should I have a support question or an issue depending upon the PMDG model in question. What about PMDG updates to these packages? I understand Aerosoft receives their updates typically a few days later than the direct PMDG updates but I imagine this is connected to how frequently the Operations Center is updated. D…

hi i got a problem i have upgrade my flightsim from p3dv3 to v4 when i try to install my pmdg product its installing but i dont get t cant put my serial nr so the i can do nothing someone an idea to solve this problem thanks in advance

It seems that any post that constructively criticises PMDG gets deleted mysteriously ? why is that? Even when its constructive and accurate it vanishes. This is reminiscent of the third Reich or some other autocratic regime where no one can give an opinion thats contrary to that of the management. A smart company would welcome constructive criticism because it helps improve the product. Its seems that PMDG has a big issue with pride here where they cant accept that they may have got some bits wrong or some things may need improvement. On occasions when my PMDG 777 & 747 are loading very slowly, I get a very quick glimpse of the inside seating etc., of the passenger section before it is quickly covered up. Just wondered if there is a way of activating this internal view to have a better look at this part of the aircraft? Missing the level of detail PMDG go to! thank you Donald Leaton

Hello all, I, well, likely a lot of you including me, are getting pretty excited for the new queen! However I did have one question regarding the charts in the EFB. So, to get the charts in the EFB, do I have to purchase navigraph to use the charts in the 747-8? Are charts included but just maybe aren't too up to date? And if I do have to purchase navigraph, anyone know how I would link the charts to the 747? Thanks for the help!

Here is the basic info with my steps to reproduce: Quad core i7 3 GHZ 16 GB RAM 1GB Nvidia Card (which does nothing in FSX, but you know.. posting it anyways) Windows 7 SP2 FSX SE Ok. Watching yesterday's live stream - and being fully aware that this is still in beta - it seems there were a lot of glitches/missing taxiways at EDDF. Is this just the nature of having the maps auto-generated from scenery files or will this see improvement before release? Can custom maps be made for airports where the auto-generated maps have lots of glitches? Alex Pugh

I am developing an C++ app and need to read the ORIGIN and DEST airports that are set in the CDU's RTE page1. I can't find any VARIABLES in the SDK for this, as this would be the easiest way to get the info. I know how to read it from the SDK CDU data structure, but that will make a change to the actual page that is in view, as I first have to make sure I have the RTE page1 in view before reading the data and there is no way to set the page in view back to its original view. At least not an easy way without a lot of code lines. Any other way to get the info?
