I don't very often post on forums but tonight i thought i would, just to say thank you to all at PMDG, what a fantastic job you have done with the Boeing 747-8, she an absolute joy to fly, not to mention the modeling of the aircraft inside and out the systems especially the EFB and everything else we don't get to see hidden away in the depths of the software. Well done guys and thank you once again can't wait to see what you come up with next, the 747-8 is going to take some beating. Regards Tim Clarke

Running P3Dv4 with PMDG 737 NGX and 777, all aircraft effects are missing, i.e. High altitude contrails, tire smoke on landing, engine start smoke. Any thoughts on this Thank You. JV

Oh where shall I begin..... engine shutters on the ground and aircraft is in cold and dark state.. hmmm TCAS switch is turned on however I get a eicas message the TCAS is off. No moving airport map, no data link, and where do I come up with a flight plan? I don't see the new OC yet. Hate to say it but so far I feel like I just bought a degraded -400. name is Christopher Cook but i'm sure i'll get drilled on how to sign my name on this forum.

To launch the application, select the TERMINAL CHARTS button from the MAIN MENU screen. The first time you launch the Terminal Charts application you will need to enter your Navigraph account details in the pop up window that will appear. When i do the above step by pressing terminal charts in efb a white window pop ups but is blank. I cant type my username and pasword of navigraph. Hello! I tried to uninstall my P3D version of the 747-4 and Windows gave me an error stating the product may already be uninstalled, and then removed it from the programs and features list. If I boot up P3D, the 747 is still installed. Is there some way to uninstall it now that I don't have the uninstall available in Programs and Features? Thanks!

Been testing out the 748 and loving it, thanks PMDG. One feature which I wish the 747 and NGX would have is the ability to have the transition Level & Altitude coded in the Airport SID/STAR file. This is how it works in real life, and I think it could be integrated with coordination with Navigraph. Usually the SIDSTARS files have the sections "FIXES" and "ENDFIXES", as well as the typical "RNWS" "ENDRNWS" and so on with the SIDs, STARs and Approaches. If another section was added with "ALTIMETRY" and "ENDALTIMETRY" and the published Transition level and altitude, the FMC could then be coded to read that data and apply it to the VNAV pages once an airport is prog…

Hi, I purchased the 747-8 last night but on my order page I have 4 different licence keys. I only made 1 purchase and even checked my back account to make sure. I’m not sure if this is normal or not. For your information I used the top key to activate the aircraft. The other 3 keys remain untouched. Thanks Steve Cameron

A little mad here. Bought 747-8, tried installing it and see I need the updated 747-400 base package? OK I have all product keys saved. I see no way to un-install it. Any guidance? Be specific please - I am not too computer savvy. I have version 3.00.8466 is that not good enough? I see 3.00.9008 is available

Hi, I try since yesterday evening to connect to my account. A new password seems to be asked. When I clic on the link sent I get an error message "invalid reset password link or it was expired click here to get a new one" Any solution? Thank's Yves

Dear Sirs, I purchased the 747-8 expansion pack for P3D and see this purchase in my order history. I uninstalled the old 747-400 as instructed and installed the updated 747-400. However, I see no download link for the newly purchased 747-8 in my order history, only that I purchased it. Just wondering if the expansion pack has to be downloaded or if it is delivered via the Ops Center. Thanks.

Folks can someone please let me know if the Base 747-400 will now have the same effects (like rain) and features (like airport diagram) once the "expansion" is installed ? Or will the new features only work on the Expansion 747-800 ? Thank you, Joe Miller

First, I'm sorry about some people not getting it to install. I hope you get it squared away soon. Here's what I did and all of it worked perfectly. Uninstalled the -400 via the Control Panel in Windows 10 Pro. Installed the newest version of the -400. Ran P3D 4.3 and it did not ask for an activation. All my liveries were there. Quit P3D, bought and downloaded the -8. Installed it, no AV, no firewall, no Defender. Added a bunch of liveries. Ran P3D and chose Air Force One and put in my activation code. Opened the EFB and logged into my Navigraph account and it took it, I was astonished to see the charts for KBOS sitting t…

Getting error message right after InstallShield Wizard is unpacking after right clicking the "PMDG 747-8 QOTSII Expansion P3D" and running as administrator. (The file auto downloaded to This PC>Downloads>) After trying to unpack for a few brief seconds I get the error message "PMDG 747-400 QOS II base package for Prepar3D or later is required before you install this expansion. Pleas update your 747 before installing this product" I have the 747-400 QOS II on this machine...I have the latest version as I purchased it a week ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated! OMG! Just got back home after a 10 hour shift in Flight Control...the de and re went perfectly. Loaded it up, set up chase plane, took a few pics for Xsplit and Projectfly, then I move on to the key assignments.......and WOW...I didn't need any. Why you ask? Because they were already there from the 744 (expect one-but that's because the autothrottle disco name changed)!! What a time saver!! Thanks so much for that one! Love it. Oh, and also, the performance is actually 10X better in the all the views including the panel views (with the AED and terrain) on sitting at Flight Beam's KIAD. BUT: When I paste the activation key after the required update get this message: ERROR: Activation library handle creation failed - (50003,71000,10103) Never had problems with activation of my PMDG products before. This evening, after returning from feeding the trolly-dolly, I settled in for a bit of testing. In initial flight test, I find repeated short segments wholly the best way to explore all the nuances of flight modes, and since I am flying electrons, no one really seems to mind that my toasters move a few hundred miles, instead of the normal few thousand. I decided to poke the sleeping beast, in my own back yard- TPA to ATL would do nicely this evening. Here we are trundling out to depart 01R.
