Hi All, I'm after some advice as to if both of the above can be configured to work with B737 , B747 & B777 using P3Dv4 & v3? And if it's indeed worth getting them? I've looked around to see if I could find anything out and found a post regarding P3Dv2 only. Appreciate any help or advice offered from PMDG and others. Thanks Jason

I was flying and had erratic speed readings on my 777. (Probably a weather issue with ASN or switching PMDG plane). But in real life, if you lose your speed on a 777, is there a back up instrument that gives you speed from a redundant source? Can you ask ATC for your speed? I know they have speed on their radars, but it that a result of the plane's transponder data? or from the ATC radar blip. If not, what do you do if you have no clue of your speed?

Hi, I have an issue with runway data for an airport; I use Navigraph data. On a recent flight EDDF-SBGL I could not select any runway for SBGL: no runway nor any STARs were listed. I had previous received an FMS alert saying that there was an issue with runway 14 at SBGL. That runway does not even exist (and precisely that could be the source of error: some bogus runway with bogus data is in the database, screwing up all the rest). Does anyone have the same problem? Any ideas how to fix this? The problem seems to persist, I have experienced it for the current AIRAC cycle as well as the previous one. Thanks for any help, Chris

I was just wondering if I'm doing something wrong, if this is a bug or this is normal for the 747-8f... Every time I start the power of the 747-8f (I don't really fly the pax version) I get a PACK sys fault on the PACK RST button. I have done the shutdown, secure and Elec power down exactly as is described in the FCOM. everything is normal on power down but on power up as soon as I switch on the EXT POWER or APU GENs and the systems come on the TRIM AIR valves stay closed and I get a sys fault on the PACK RST. Is this normal for the 747-8 or is this a bug?

I run Prepar3D stretched across three monitors in 7680 x 1440 resolution. It makes for an immersive experience. When I click displays to expand them they initially display in a size and ratio commensurate with a non-widescreen display and I have to resize them to be more realistic and not take up so much real estate. I then position them in areas where they're not too obtrusive. Finally once I have everything where I want it I save the panel state. When I restart the simulation and load the panel state the expanded items show where I've repositioned them but they revert to their non-resized size and I have to resize them again. Hi. I have no problems using the login feature of the 748. I have a problem reusing the system after landing. How do I reset the login information? It keeps staying in a post flight page after landing, and I'd like to start planning the next leg. How do I do that?

I'm having problems with Prepar3d v4 and need to do a clean install. Can you provide me with the method to deactivate PMDG 737/777 so that when I reinstall P3Dv4 I will not have a problem reinstalling the PMDG product. Thanks.

I tried something different recently, and I have learned a lot from it. Two days ago I preformed DLH418 flight EDDF-KIAD. I used max load in my 748 and put in fuel so I would have 12 000 kg when I land in Dulles. Looking at live weather in active sky, I choose a western route into northern France. Near Reims, I turned nort-northwest towards England, passing Folkestone near Dover. I went little more north and turned west, passing south of London and just outside northern Bristol, and from there towards Shannon. I couldn't find the gate that Flightradar24 said was the correct one, so I chose a different gate. I waited for the real airplane to show up. I don't know what…

Hi PMDG team, Awesome work on the 747-8. My favourite plane to fly so far!! I just wanted to ask if I’m doing something wrong or if it is designed this way regarding RainMaker effects. I notice while on the ground stopped or taxiing the effects are great. However as soon as speed reaches 80knots on takeoff roll the rain on windshield effect seems to disappear all together. I am considering (finally) a complete upgrade from P3D v3 to P3D v4, and I just want to make sure that all I need to do is uninstall my PMDG products first (these are slightly older versions, and not the P3D v4 compatible ones), and then download and install the latest versions....without having to deactivate the licences first? I guess that the latter would only be required if I am installing on a new PC, or replacing a motherboard?

The PMDG Operations Center no longer recognizes that I own the 737 or 777, or any of the liveries I already have downloaded for them. The aircraft work in the sim still but for some reason there is now a disconnect with the Ops Center and these aircraft are listed for sale and all my liveries are gone etc. Anyone know why this may suddenly happen or how to fix it without a complete reinstall? I was flying from Atlanta to Los Angeles a few weeks ago on the PMDG 747 and as I got close to LAX, my laptop started making windows 10 notification sounds over and over again until I finally got an OOM error seconds before touch down on Runway 7R. I was flying from Chicago to Amsterdam a few days later and the windows 10 notification sounds started again as I got close to Amsterdam. My graphic filtering is bilinear, I have anti-aliasing on, my graphics detail is high, and my special effects detail is medium. I have also lowered my traffic settings. Hello I have installed pmdg 777 recently and everything went fine. However, I discovered that the pmdg operation center does not display the pmdg 777 option after a few days. I only have the 777 product and I cannot install livery from the operation center. I tried to reinstall the 777 and everything went fine though I encountered the same scenario again after a few days---the pmdg 777 module in the operation center became grey again. I have already checked that my operation center is the newest version and I am asking for a solution to this problem. Thank you.

Hello I have installed the pmdg 777 and I am able to fly the airplane without any issues. However, after a short period of time, the pmdg 777 module does not show up in the pmdg operations center. I can still fly the plane without any difficulties but I cannot use the operation center to install or uninstall liveries since the pmdg 777 page will become grey and it only asks me to purchase the product again. I have attempted to do re installations. However, the status bar became grey gain after a short period of time(maybe one or two flights in p3d). I can confirm that the operation center is the newest one and are there any solutions to the problem? Thank you.

Hello Friends For two days I have been experiencing ODD Behavior of FMC Programming Routes in 747-400, 747-800 and 777-200. I program the route in PFPX and export as usual. The FMC reports that the destination airport does not have runways, or Stars. First I thought may be because of the new Datalink procedure in 747-8. But it is the same in -4. Then I tried the t7.200 and the same thing happened. My Original route was flight CP2077 KLAX-PANC. Then Tried another plan with Arrival CYVR, then KSFO. PANC, CYVR and KSFO runway error, No STARs and no runways listed. Weird. I am in P3d v4.3, NAV cycle 1801. All my PMDGs are up to date as per …

NMG Simulations has excellent FACT scenery available for P3Dv4 and a handful of other South African airports.

Maybe there's a fix for this maybe not, there's no fix over at fsdt, does anyone else see this, are we working on it?, thought it may have been attended to with the release of the 747-8 but mine still shakes like crazy. Cheers Rod Lewis

Hello, First of all, I have searched many forums for this and have tried everything and can't find a fix. Every few flights or so my yoke on only the PMDG aircraft will bank slightly to either the right or left. I have no idea what this is. I have the saitek pro flight yoke and have tried resetting multiple options through both fsuipc and others and nothing has worked. I've even tried my old joystick instead of my yoke and nothing has changed. All of my other aircraft work fine so I believe this is possibly a PMDG problem. If someone could get back on this that would be fantastic! Cheers!
