When PMDG announced the DC 6 project, I knew already that it would be a huge 'success' for both costumers and the developer, business and aesthetically. I know there are a lot of us who bought and will buy anything made by PMDG but DC 6 is just the right sweetspot. I also love how PMDG expressed their appreciation to A2A's line of business when asked if DC 6 to compete with A2A's vintage aircraft. I, perhaps thousands other, would love to see DC3. The existing choices are far from anything special..while DC3 is always be special in the heart of every simmer. Respectfully

Hi ! I have a question regarding the upcoming 747 v.2 in terms of the 747-8. I've read that the 747-8 will come as an expansion for the 747 v.2. What does it mean? Will it have a special flight model or will it just be a visual extension? I think the 747-8 differs from the 4 in perfomance data. thanks in advance. Greetz chris

"I'm telling you Bill, Cruise thrust vs the headwind we have is just not making any sense. I think the FMC must be glitchy..." The thing is... In FS2Crew when the ground crew calls up "All hatches and doors are closed and the bypass pin has been inserted" prior to pushback, shouldn't the airstairs be included in this check?

Greetings all! I need your help in recommending what to upgrade to get FSX running smoothly with the NGX and upcoming 777. Currently with my setting nearly maxed I can get roughly 45-50 FPS with a default c172. As soon as I switch to the NGX it drops to a mere 12-14 FPS. Here are my specs: Intel i7 920 @ 2.67GHz EVGA X58 motherboard 6GB(3x2GB) RAM DDR3 Tripple channel at 2122.6 MHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti 2GB So, I have a Newegg account and plenty of credit to spar with them. What needs to be upgraded in order for me to have a steady 25-30 FPS with the NGX? I run REX, TacPack and the Warthog GUI software in the background. Thank you all in…

Please consider doing the Boeing 757 series airliners. This plane has a history (& currently) as a player in Air Force Two and sports a phenomenal climb rate, short takeoff requirement on the -200 model, and has a great safety record. I use QW's which is good for what it is, but this bird really demands a first class production. All those in favor say Aye! All those opposed...go have a beer or a cup of coffee then watch some TV!

If PMDG made the classic 747 series: 747-100/-200/-300, that would make the complete family of 747. Just a thought.

I know you have probably have gotten requests all over the X-Plane community about designing all your amazing planes for X-Plane. But I would like to hear from the developers. Will there be any hope of this happening? I pray that this one day will come true. I would love to own and fly the 737/747/777 PMDG models in X-Plane soon. One can only dream and hope for. Please make it come true!

Hello. I've got an AMD FX-6300 6 REAL CORES at 3.5 GHz. A friend of mine overcloked it up to 4.0 GHz. I'm runing FSX for 5 hours and getting maximun temperatures of 50ºC. I asked myself If I'm runing with a good temperature or it's quite hot. I have also an ARTIC COOLING FREEZER 13 as a COOLER. I dont understand too much about CPU, due to that doing my question abou that. Should I take down the temperature or it's a good one. I saw the TJMAX of my CPU is 85ºC but I don't know what's that. Thanks you very much Ivan

Why is this a special date, you wonder? It is the date that my second son is due to be born. Why do I mention this, you wonder? Because I am hoping against hope that the PMDG Boeing 777 will be released prior to this date, as I currently have just enough time to tinker with my NGX when my 2 year-old son has his mid-day sleep for a couple of hours. Once son number two comes along, I won't have time to scratch myself, so I am really hoping to get my hands on the PMDG B777 before that date so I have at least a little free time to spend on PMDG's latest masterpiece! Oh, by the way, my wife and I have decided on a name (finally). Should I tell you all??? Hmmm, let me think!!! …

Hi, Today, only an hour ago infact, I decided to purchase the PMDG 737NGX and 747X. I purchased it through PMDG website and I was provided with an order code. I did not receive an email confirming my order. I try to download it and I am told that my details do not exist on the system and therefore, I cannot access my order. This has made me quite cross because I spent a lot of money on these two products and I am unable to access them. I will be glad to verify my purchase if needed. Please help Thanks Henry Heming

Hi all, I had a search for related topics, but can't seemed to find anything useful. I would like to ask, with the default G55V ROG gaming laptop by Asus, how well does it run the NGX? I know this question is very broad and open, and I intend for it to be like this, so if anyone have any experience on this machine with PMDG and FSX, could you please share your experience? This machine is supposedly only for work-related tasks, I know and I do expect that it will not run anywhere near as what desktop computers can potentially run. But as it stands, I would like to hear some experiences you might have had. Thanks in advanced.

Captains- I have the unique (and fun!) responsibility of keeping you up to date (or not...<cough>) with the various goings-on in our development cycles as products move from inception to release... Most of the time, this role is fun because I get to bring you good news- or show you things that we are working with that will excite the simmer in you. I try to mention now and then that I speak on behalf of the entire PMDG team- not as a prelate of some sort- but as a member of a very solid, very skilled and very cohesive team of developers. Sometimes it is hard to believe that PMDG's first product release was 15 years ago next week- or that some members of…

Hi Everyone, Recently, I've been trying to manually build approaches for Teniente R. Marsh Airport (SCRM), In Antarctica. But, when I enter the airport SCRM in to the RTE page on the FMC, Ive been getting many various errors. Ive been able to overcome all but one; "ERR AT RNW11 LINE 36". I have looked at Terry Yingling's tutorial, which has helped a lot but it has not solved my last problem. I was hoping you guys could help me out. Here is what I've done, I'd appreciate if you could help me nail down what I've done wrong. Cheers, Alex

I left EGKK (Gatwick) last eve for a quick flight to EGCC (Manchester). I use the PMDG 737 NGX, FS2Crew, Opus (Weather) and EZDOK. I took off and at 400 agl the co-pilot called "positive climb" I called for gear up. Now here is where it got a little bit sureal. I was flying the wl version BA livery with no failures selected. About five seconds after the gear had retracted I noticed the stbd wheel lights were amber and green, went to the outside view and sure enough the stbd gear was still down! So what I want to know is, are the standard wear and tear features live regardless of the settings? As an end to the tale, I returned to EGKK and during approach had a midair coll…

One thing I'm missing in aircrafts is the sound of flaps. When you fly for real can you hear them. I think you should in FSX also, at least in wing view. Are there any limits in FSX that prevent this or is it something PMDG missed/didn't think about/some other reason?

Many of the 3D Virtual Cockpit textures disappear as FSX transitions to dusk, when using the PMDG 747 . I know, there are numerous posts about this, but as usual, nobody seems to agree on a solution. This is probably an FSX problem, but it doesn't happen with the FSX stock A/C. I have UTX products, but I still have the problem, even when they're disabled. I have a new machine with plenty of power, but it still happens. I don't like to mess with the .CFG file since, according to some posts I've read, it sometimes causes more problems than it solves. This is is especially true for someone like me with very limited computer knowledge. I would, however, attempt it, if I had s…

In the UK (and I believe it's not uncommon elsewhere) landing clerance will never be given to an aircrat until it is number one and the runway is unoccupied. In the states, this restriction doesn't seem to exist. Multiplie aircraft can be given clearance to land in sequence, or be cleared to land even with departing traffic on the runway. This doesn't seem to be a good idea, especially if comms are lost ( see this video: ) or the controller simply loses track of who they've cleared to do what. Anyone know why it's done this way?
