Updated the FMC with 2013 but the FMC still shows its not up to date. Boy you really need it in Alaska some of those airports are way off centerline. Oh you know the show on TV that shows Unakleet Alaska? MSFS sure missed that one the airport is nothing like the real one. Is there an Alaska update you know of? Dan Thompson

My hard drive was recently formatted because my computer had to be repaired. I then installed FSX and my NGX and 747X. Around sometime last week, I learnt that installing FSX out of the original x86 folder was better than using the default area. I would like to uninstall FSX ( and all my addons) and re install it on a path like C:\FSX but I have already used up 2 activation's on both products and I am not sure if I would be able to activate both the aircraft after I'm finished re-installing FSX.

I am having an issue while in LNAV mode where I deviate from the enroute course to 30 degrees in another direction while flying the 747-8i. I am flying from KSFO-->KJFK and all is fine for the first 1/3 of the flight and then the plane deviates for no reason and the at some point it corrects itself or I disengage the LNAV and I have to engage the AP HDG to get back on course. I turn the LNAV on again to pick up the next waypoint and then it starts to happen again. I would appreicate any direction you give me on this item

I have followed the pmdg guide on a complete de install of add ons and fsx to the letter. After re installing just fsx I noticed a pmdg folder with files was still there. I assume I need to do more to get to a clean state. Can anyone with a bit more brain power than me give me a pointer. Colin

A while ago, I found some supposedly authentic Boeing training materials (at least they highly resemble the paper version of the PMDG B747 FCOM I purchased) online. Because I seek realism, I am now using the normal checklists described in the QRH with the PMDG B747 in FSX. However, the sequencing of some checklist items seems illogical. I would appreciate some thoughts as to whether I am correct and why the items may be sequenced the way they are. If I misinterpret anything, please let me know and explain. (Even though I am using the B747 checklists in the following examples, what I am referring to applies to other QRH normal checklists as well.) Some relevant e…

I'm curious as to how many people fly in the DCS world, and would be interested in seeing heavies? FSX is showing its age and doesn't allow the level of fidelity (at least in terms of flight model) that DCS does. I'm aware that at this juncture it's very unlikely, but I'd very much like to see PMDG develop a C-17 or KC135 etc in the future. Thoughts?!

Hello dear pilots, I read a lot of threads in order to find out a little bit more about home cockpits, multimonitors etc. But after reading I become more questions as before reading ))) I like pdmg 737 model so I actually planned to use it for my home sim. Short about my plan: I have one PC with i7 3,4 Ghz, GeForce GTX 680, 8 Gb Ram and I planned connect to it 3 monitors for viewing landscape out of cockpit (tripplehead), 2 monitors for pfd/nd (pilot and f/o each one) and 2 iPads for the center up and down screens (using Airdisplay). I will also use mcp combo, cdu II, overhead (vrinsight) and saitek controlls (yoke, level quadrant and pedals). After reading som…

Dear Team PMDG, Many thanks for producing such high quality simulations coupled with a second to none support. Like many others on that site, flying is a passion! Due to my job I can only spend a few hours per months flying real planes. PMDG gave us the ability to pursue our passion by simply switching on our home PC (for me mostly in the late hours of the night :( ). PMDG gave us access some of the coolest and most complex planes out there. Each time I power up my sim I can feel the passion and the thousands of hours you guys have put in your products. Happy, healthy and prosperous New Year to all of you and families ! We are all looking forward to your next jewe…

Hello Everyone, I hope you all had great holiday, enjoyed the Christmass and New Years I apologize in advance as I am not a native English speaker so I know my English is not perfect. I am frequently following the forum and other online sources regarding flight simulation as I am a big fan as all of you. Moreover, I love PMDG. I mean I really LOVE PMDG.I am the owner of the PMDG 747-400X and its just wonderfull. They produce, to my opinion, by far, the most advanced, sim relaistic, detail resolution oriented software I`ve seen in the sim arena. This is the first time I am posting here and only cause I noticed few issues lately I would like to address. These i…

Hello all, I just thought I'd share this lovely FSX moment. So I'm using the 737-800NGX, a real flight, American 2189 from Dallas to Belize. I'm coming in to land visual runway 07, I pass DH, and... Uh... I've never been to Belize, but I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to be like that. Maybe a new system of stopping planes faster? It reminds me of that Husqvarna commercial where the grass and trees grow into a jungle overnight. Just turned off the scenery objects for landing and everything was fine. I've run into this problem before at, I /think/, San Deigo, where there's an office building or something right in front of the runway. Gotta love FSX…

Good morning, I am having some major problems that hopefully you can help with. Last night I purchased an addon (Wilco ERJ) and installed it. This morning, I went to fly (Level D was the aircraft of choice). That gave me all kinds of failures. So I started loading my other addons. My 747x, has a dll problem, cant find them according to the error messages, and my MD-11 just causes a fatal error (these have never happened before). The NGX loads fine, as well as the JS4100. I did a re-install of the 747x and it still gives me the .dll error. Any ideas on how I can fix this short of a full re-install of FSX? Thank you. Brian A. Neuman

I am so sorry if this is irrelevant, I hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone. I just wanted to say how utterly superb the PMDG simulations are. I have the 747 and the 737 NGX and they are fabulous, faithful, interesting simulations. The 737 in particular renders the real flight deck of a 73 absolutely perfectly. This is how simulations SHOULD BE! No doubt about it, these are the best flight simulation addons I have ever experienced, and I have been using FS for years now. I await the 777 with excitement, knowing that if it has PMDG written on the box, it is going to be absolutely outstanding, and look forward to hearing of new PMDG projects as time goes on. Happy ne…

Hi, motivated by the latest great developments for FSX, one of them clearly the PMDG NGX (actually, that's why I posted it in the PMDG forum but moderators may move it of course), I decided to program my own weather engine, or at least give it a try. My main intentions with FSXWX are: - To depicts (real-world) weather in an 'impressive manner' so that its visualization in FSX looks great (because its always a compromise between accuracy and perception). - A wx engine that is build around such 'sensitive' jetliners like the NGX to do errorless and smooth flights from A to B. There is definitely still a lot room for improvements, but version 1.0 is now read…

Captains- Just a quickie for you tonight... On projects as large as ours- there comes a point in the development cycle where members of the team start to openly wonder "are we ever going to finish this thing?" Then there comes a day in the development cycle where you look up and realize that the bird is really coming together nicely and it is starting to grow light on the eastern horizon... For the 777, today was that day! A few hours ago we pushed a 777 update to internal users that represents some pretty solid forward motion toward having a fully integrated Triple on our hands! The past few months have been particularly challenging, as we've been wor…

Hello I bought last year at Amazon the PMDG 737 NGX for FSX. But mostly, I use the FS9. I have installed my NGX today again and wanted to fly a round, but unfortunately I get not enabled it because the serial number is not accepted. I can not explain this to me and need help. I have found now only here after a long search because I'm looking for the PMDG support. I hope I'm right here. Please don't be surprised about my English, I use a translator. I ask as soon as possible for help With kind regards Christian

Hey guys, Being new to the 737 NGX and FMC in general, I have a what you might think is a silly question. But what I am wondering is, is there a way to get airport SID's and Star's without the need for airport charts? I'm having trouble programming a decent approach into the FMC without it going directly to a runway. I know if I hit the dep/arr button it gives me a list of arrivals and departures, but I seem to be having a tough time picking the correct one. Yesterday I spent 45 minutes trying to program an approach into an airport that didn't discontinue the route. Thanks in advance for your help.
