  4. Rather unexpectedly* just got an email announcing that there's a new version - v.2.10 - of the brilliant TOGA Mitsubishi Mu-2 available from X-Aviation bringing with it official XP12 Support. The full changelist is here (there's more changes to come in future updates particularly on the engine parameters) https://www.togasim.com/mu2docs/supplements/bug_tracker_210.html?mc_cid=34f6352edb&mc_eid=b01f2013c9#issues-since-204-release To get the update redownload from the X-Aviation store *I say unexpectedly as the plan was to release the IXEG 737-300 update first but seems work shifted around and this is out ahead of that.

Anyone want a semi-study level Concorde for about the price of a Big Mac? The Colimata ConcordeV2 (X-Plane 11 version only) is now on sale for only $7.50! https://store.x-plane.org/Concorde-FXP-version-2--XP11_p_1503.html Here's the review for it Aircraft Review : Concorde FXP v2 by Colimata - Airliners Reviews - X-Plane Reviews (xplanereviews.com) (Spoiler Alert: It's more than worth it.) If your still using X-Plane 11 and love complex jets, than now's the time to get it for almost nothing.

  8. xCraft E-Jets Family News for XP12 Taken from their press release : We have some amazing news! I can’t believe that I’m gonna say this but we have just released the RC1 version of the E-Jets Family to our beta testers! RC versions come after Beta testing and it means Release Candidate. This is the first version that we think is ready to be sent to the store! Now, that doesn't mean that the release will happen tomorrow, we still need some time because this version also needs to go through rigorous testing before we can release it. However, as soon as all of our beta testers give us a green light, confirming that they couldn't find any serious issues, we…

  11. Hi all, TL;DR: Seattle in the OrbX TrueEarth scenery looks very dark at night. What can I do to improve this ? ----------------- This topic is just for me to ask some small advice regarding the settings of XP12 when using the TrueEarth Washington scenery. I'm fully aware of the fact that this scenery was made for XP11 and is not officially compatible/supported for XP12, so I'm not expecting much. In fact, I just want to check if, maybe, I have overlooked some settings somewhere, or some easy tweaking, in order to improve the quality of my rendering a bit. Here is the context: the scenery seem to work well, despite the unbelievably-long loading times (l…

  12. Hi I'm looking for a (serious) beta tester for a small utility I developed: P2Acars. The goal is to send main Pilot2Atc messages in CPDLC format (short text) to the A320 ARCDU using the Hoppie network. It can be used with any addon Hoppie enabled. So I'm looking for a user of Pilot2Atc + Toliss. Thanks

  16. I found these pictures on the x-plane subreddit: This is Society Islands XP - Bora Bora & Leeward Islands add-on and imo this is how x-plane should look like by default: realistic tree placement and variation including bushes (grass could be added too), better terrain textures, improved buildings autogen and improved base mesh (this isn't really ortho mesh quality but still better than default). Unfortunately I haven't found any add-on that could do this, not even x-world or global forests.

As I (currently) don't have the time and also am not in the mood for creating further videos to continue my little series, here are some additional points not yet covered by me: Superior flight modeling - check. Superior ground friction handling - check. Easy instant replay - check. Tower and flyby views - check. A save and restore flight function that actually works as it should - check. "Real" snow coverage (with freezing and melting snow) - check. Snow free roads in winter - check. Leafless deciduous winter trees - check. The ability to swap a livery, on a plane without having to go all the way back to the main menu…

XP12 has introduced a new and very important weather modelling feature - geopotential height variation away from ISA when operating under high or low temperatures. I have tested it myself a few times and appears to be correctly modelled, but the video linked bellow, by "filghtdeck2sim" is a very good one on this theme: Cold Temperature Altimeter Error is pretty dangerous! | X-Plane 12 Demonstration - YouTube

  23. I was on an IFR flightplan from KMVY to KACK in the default C172 using the default Garmin GNS 530, latest xplane12.5.0.r1. To cut a long route short, I deleted several waypoints on the Garmin FPL page along the way while I was enroute between waypoints DEEPO and CLAMY, south of Martha's Vineyard heading east towards Nantucket Island. To my surprise, the GPS did not recalculate the resulting new heading for the remaining waypoints, but kept the previous DTK of 179 which would have led to the south pole, but not to Nantucket which was only some 30 miles east, track of 77 degrees. and accordingly, the autopilot (GPS-NAV mode) flew the wrong direction. I had to turn…

Hello, I'm VERY new to XPlane, switching from being an FSX user for many years. I have a home cockpit with full instrument panel. I want to turn off the interior of the plane, but maintain the exterior, from the glass of the windows to everything outside, including nose, propeller, wings, pylons, etc. Can someone point me to a thread that covers this, or give me some guidance? Thanks! Dave
