I want to buy X-Plane but only if it comes with White Knight and Spaceship One. Can someone please confirm that these aircrafts are included in version 9?They were included in earlier versions of X-plane (7 I think). Then I purchase version 8 and they were gone!Thanks.Gianluca

ok I have read the forums and been to the site several times but I have some basic questions about x-plane that I would like to know. 1. how good are the VC's?? Do some come as good and as functional as say the PMDG 737 or any of the flight1 aircraft??2. does ATC exist??3. are there any addons that will add traffic?

I was all set to take the plunge and buy the new X-Plane 9 (Even though still in Beta!) mainly due to their much tauted claim for accurate flight models. Then I saw a series of videos on youtube showing Belly Up takeoffs? So I downloaded the Demo, and sure enough, belly up takeoffs are possible. How could this be in a sim, that claims to have accurate flight models to the point they get FAA certification for training. So my real question, is are the flight models in X-Plane really as good as they claim to be? So far the demo hasn't really impressed me, but I'm just a simmer, although I have flown a Mustang and an AT-6 (With a CFI for their type) they just doesn't seem rig…

Hi. I have been looking at X-Plane (with fascination) for literally no more than an hour (downloading the v.9 demo as I write this), so really could not be more of a newbie to it.Before I go any further (and judging from some great screenshots I have seen so far, I may very well do so) I have a few questions re. installation etc. I have a fairly 'mature' installation of FS9, which with all my addon scenery, a/c etc. takes up some 80GBs of space (inc. a full set, some 25GBs, of FSGenesis mesh). I can perhaps spare another 70-80GBs on my hard drive for X-Plane. Will that amount of space be enough - I mean 'future proof' enough, for stuff I will want to add on after installi…

Hi thereI am new to X-Plane 9 and have also FSX which I also enjoyI brought the Version 9 DVD and Global Scenery bundle and and working my way through all the setups but one thing is puzzling me and that is the Thunder sounds. I have a 5.1 Sound system and every thing checks fine with 5.1 speaker tests so I know its going in that department.What the issue is is that I set it up for storm conditions and see lightning flashes and the ground lights up and all but I hear no thunder even in the distance , all the sound files are there so I don't know what the issue is because in my experience if I see lightning not to far away I hear the thunder rumble shortly after as usual…

G'day,Are there any products for critiquing the performance of a landing in X-Plane? I can work out my FPM using the data logging function but that isn't terribly user friendly :-)Steven.

First things first (before getting round to questions in my post just below).I have installed the demo, but when I run the exe file I always get the dreaded Windows message "X-Plane 900 Beta-19.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close ...." It always occurs in the same place during loading when the X-Plane window shows "Done with finish region" (whatever that means!).Is this as far as I am going to get with X-Plane then?Martin

Hi,I downloaded X-Plane in order to test it as demo.Pitty there is no quick start manual... maybe online ?I have to search all the functions... very sad. How do I configure my joystick so that it works as it does now with MSFS ?There is a possibility to run X-Plane on Windows but also on Linux. Which OS is the best ?Do it from a bootable CD with Knoppix software... but what about the X-Plane Flightsimumator: where should it then be installed ? Also on the bootable CD of DVD ?Maybe it's better to use a VirtualPC ?So many questions, h
