Hi All, I've recently bought the ND Arts & Tech. Payware Hurricane for Xplane - excellent though it is I have a couple of queries.Firstly the Flaps - there seems to be only two selections possible - up or down. The guages shows as it should the various settings as per the real Hurricane, but they are not selectable. Also - if the a/craft is flown by the AI (as selectable in the sim.) - it will take off with a low flap setting as one would expect. Try as I might I'm unable to replicate this from the cockpit.Also: The instruments are hard to read - not bright enough - depending upon where the "sun" is coming from I suspect. I cannot find an instrument light switch…

Hi, I hope this is an appropriate post, and that I've put it in the right place: I'm an X-Plane version 7 user (because my older computer handles it better than 8 or 9), and I'm trying to find a Boeing 717. Been successful with just about all the other Boeings, except the 717. Have tried X-Plane.org, X-Plane Freeware, AVSIM Library, Peter Hager, X-Hangar, basic Google and Bing searches, and have so far come up empty. There is a B-717 download for version 8 on the XPFreeware site, but I can't use it since planes are not backwards compatible. Hey everyone,I bought myself X-plane 9 a while ago and only tried it once. I was very unimpressed with it because i was completely lost in the interface system (menus,control keys, etc) and i couldnt even get the plane to takeoff. So i gave up. However i kept watching the xplane videos on youtube and it kept growing on me that i should try it again. I must confessed that there were 2 things that really amazed me. I have X-Plane 9.31 and downloaded x-squawkbox and have connected to Vatsim fine with no problems with Voice Etc. The issue I have is that the traffic at whatever airport I am at is frozen and doesn't move. For example if I connect and there is an aircraft landing and it is flaring then it just sits and floats at the same altitude and position for ever and doesn't move. If I disconnect and reconnect then it is at another location after re-connecting but it statys at the location and is frozen. It appears that I am getting the initial position when connecting but then I don't get any updated possitions for it so it never moves. During the whole time I am connected I am …

I am using X-Plane 9 with the Matrox TripleHead2Go and 3 widescreen monitors. The Cessna 172 looks fine with the 2D instrument panel in my center monitor and the 3D panel looks great across the three monitors with the left and right sides of the cockpit as well. So does the Cirrus Jet. In the 747 I only get the center part of the instrument panel which appears cut off on both sides with no side parts of the cockpit in 3D view, and with the King Air 200 all I see is the engines in 3D view. Incredible scenery created with G2XPL. Can never get tired of flying around this.

I just installed X-Plane and am still trying to set it up. Does anybody have some graphics card setting recommendations to get things to look good? Right now I'm using an older Nvidia 7950 GT, 512 VRAM (93.8 Forceware drivers) with a single-core Pentium 4, 3.2 Extreme processor and 2 G's RAM. One big visual problem is that the water looks weird at altitude with this black speckle mess to the wave tops, although it looks nice at ground level. The water looks really good in Pacific Fighters (also OpenGL), but I set a lot of the OpenGL parameters from within the simulation's config.ini file, so I know the card is capable. I just downloaded the G2XPL module to create more realistic scenery. I read the Readme file but I honestly don't know where to begin, especially with the setup, configuration and adjusting of the ini file. Are there any tutorials for those not so experienced in this thing, or users out there that can help? Thanks. Tom

Does X-Plane support a multi-monitor setup with different resolutions? I have 3 x 20" monitors with a dualhead2go, for outside view and 1x19" and 1x17 for instruments. Could I use this with X-plane at different resolutoins?Thanks!

who understands how squawkbox works with xplane, I dont get the ms-fs9 or fsx box like i get so its very hard to use, also i have this terrible sound like bad statis before every transmission.What is the latest version and who knows how to get the best of vatsim with xplane. Ive read many tutorials but i cant get it working well and it sounds terrible.Peter

HiJust acquired the CASA CN235 Irish Air Corps plane. I have discovered how to open the cargo door but I can't figure out to drop the cargo as it says I can. I have tried all the 'drop' items on the button choices and it remains precisely where it is. Please can anyone tell me how its done?Apologies for asking a question that must have been asked before but, as usual, the search engine is not up to the job!!!Cheers

Now that I have X-Plane9 up and running, does anyone have any suggestions for addons that will enhance realism without slowing it down too much?
