Hi All, Is there a DREFs that relay the trim button status of a joystick. I have a plugin that runs its own physics engine and I want to know when the user is providing a commanded trim deflection. Preferably the joystick button status i.e. 1=command pitch 0=nothing rather than a trim deflection angle. Any help appreciated. Cheers.

Virtual-Fly rudder pedals have no effect on C172 nosewheel steering while on the ground. Pedals do produce yaw effect while plane is in the air. I'm new to X-Plane, so I'm confident i've done something wrong. I enabled the XP-11 Data Output and verified the rudder inputs (per the troubleshooting article); of course, I expected that to work just fine since the plane behaves correctly to pedal inputs while airborne. Thoughts? Thanks.

Hi all. I started to be a bit weak when I fly in Sparky 747, it is such an amazing feeling to fly it manually, especially in VR. you can really feel the sheer size and weight of this giant. Since I flew few manual patterns around KSLC, and couple of quick AP tests, just to test the aircraft, how it works in VR, how it behaves, etc, I wonder is this aircraft ready for a full fledged flight? In other words, setup the weight, fuel, FMC, fly manual up to the end of a SID, switch to AP, and then fly manual from 6nm from the runway to the touchdown. All achievable? I have a 24 inch second monitor for LNM. I would rather orient it vertically some times. How do you make it so it orients up and down like a phone will when you turn it up and down....?Its a ViewSonic 24....

For example: In MSFS and Navigraph, Sossamon Field, NC, USA is identified as 57NC. In Xplane 12, is identified as 6A9. Many other airports that are found in both MSFS and Navigraph are simply missing from Xplane 12. I have confirmed this in both the Xplane 12 flight planner and by searching the Xplane 12 scenery database in LittleNavMap. When I try to use the Xplane 12 scenery database in LittleNavMap, I get an error in my flight plan resulting from any missing airports. I use Navigraph to update all of my simulators and tools. I'm sure I must be missing something fundamental, because I don't understand how an airport in the Navigraph database can be missing from X…

Well been about testing and getting to know the Shinmaywa US-1 as these updates arrived. Location has been the Iwakuni area in Japan and real time weather. No issues whatsoever with sim operation or display - silky smooth all the time. The US-1 has meant time on water and on land - the weather has been well awful, low cloud, rain and thunderstorms. Cloud rendition to my mind is now the best I have ever seen in a flight simulation program. Looks pretty good to me:

Hey, Wondering if anyone could give me some insight on a small issue I'm having. Trying to create some US tiles using the 1/3" USGS mesh. I modified the appropriate files from this post, as the default built-in function seem to have stopped working. Using the binary version of Ortho4XP does not seem to download the .tif files. It quickly says it's downloading an .img file and renders the mesh completely flat. Using the Python version does correctly identify the change and downloads the DEM files, yet I'm hit with a "WARNING: unsupported raster (install Gdal)" that also gives me a flat mesh. For fun I tried all of the West Coast (Washington to SoCal) in XP12 and they looked great. But I get to the point eventually where the sim just stops and crashes - for example flying Portland to Seattle, halfway there it just freezes...then a crash. I actually helped Tony beta test these for Orbx when new and remember as new .dsfs would load it was a challenge on my old PC. I have them on a SSD so load time shouldn’t be an issue? Anyone else play with these in XP12 And experience this? Thanks, Steve

Ever since I switched to a two monitor setup (one screen looking forward, the other out the pilot’s window), X-Plane 12 flashes the screen every few seconds to black and then reappears after each event. The primary and secondary displays do this in alternating phase, essentially taking turns. It does this right from program launch in the main screen, before the flight has even commenced and then continues indefinitely, rendering XP unusable without a fix. Hello, i tried to buy Felis 747 some days ago, but i had to connect PayPal because i do not have a credit Card or anything. Everything normal. However you have to put in your Birth date and IBAN. I put it in but nothing happened.. The PayPal information was the same with my Account. I already bought 2x Planes on the store but a time ago i resetted my Pc and now it isn‘t working anymore. Has anyone encounterd the Problem? I am sure the IBAN is correct. I already conatacted the Support via E-Mail however, they‘re not responding. I switched from p3d to xp12, but the way to vatsim is not so easy as in p3d… i installed Xpilot (version that mentions XP12) but i get error about wrong client version ?

It seems that most of the time the rain appears randomly. I've very rarely seen rain come and go in the same location, maybe in the summer when we get sporadic showers. But in XP12 it seems to be the norm. For example, I was taxiing at LZIB (where it is winter now), and the rain just came and went away. Same when flying through clouds, almost every time there's rain hitting the plane when flying through one. This seems exagerrated.

Been using AutoOrtho for a while and enjoying it. However, during an approach into LOWI last night, it just made my sim stutter it seemed and I've experienced some milder versions of that, unfortunately one of the known side-effects with loading this stuff on the fly. Figured I'd go back to default textures for a while and absolutely expected the performance to be on par or even better... but I noticed, my FPS is lower universally using default textures. In some areas, especially sitting at LOWI the FPS is almost halved going default. Sitting in this scene and getting sub-30 is just weird. Seen a lot of promotional videos over time for MS which always featured these gleaming hangar floors and good look around inside. Never really bothered about it much until today decided to park it for the day inside a hangar in the default scenery for XP12 - the place was actually Richmond (YSRI) Anyway looks to me that XPlane does a hanger just as good - things you find out. Oh yeah and it is the X-Hangar De havilland Caribou - thats very nicely done as well.
