Hi all, I am a fairly casual XP12 user as most of my time is spent in MSFS (and once in a long while, in P3D v6)... So I am not sure what the protocol for submitting bugs is, but in XP 12, TJVQ (Antonio Rivera Airport) in Vieques, PR has a HUGE dip in its only runway. This wasn't present in XP11 and I use that airport to fly circuits with GA aircraft as one of my homes is in Vieques, PR. I was wondering how one would go about submitting this. If anyone else could confirm this issue for me as well, it would be appreciated. I run vanilla XP 12 with no addons (except B747 and A350 aircraft)... Your help is greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have any advice please as to whether it is possible to have a purely ortho set-up, with ortho sitting on top of the default airports. I much prefer to see genuine photo scenery to the model alternative. This is just my opinion, so I'm not expecting everyone or even anyone to agree with me. We all have our own ways of looking at things. I'd just like to know if it's possible please? Thanks - Phil

Find current beta - stable and graphically almost perfect (If there is any such thing) nothing does not work for me and the uplift in graphics and performance is fine (I get 60-87 fps routinely) and no CTD's at all load times are fast.. Weather depiction cloud and precipitation depiction now at a level I did not think was possible. Though the NOAA or WMO connection thing still can be intermittent. LR have still not found a solution to the depiction of rain above FL200 (no it does not) and the current graphics give you a starwars warp speed view if you push through cloud sometimes - just weird. I came across a website that uses X-Plane 12 for real world flight training. Looks to be quite a comprehensive course, with a CFI as the instructor, while using an online classroom setting. Obviously (adding a FULL disclaimer) this course, highly likely, doesn't count towards actual flight time. It looks to be a course designed to get people familiar with flying so as to minimize actual flying hours. Hi all! Just got X-Plane 12 to complement my P3Dv5.4 (which I use as my main sim) and I am thoroughly enjoying it (I love the clouds, the default airports and heck even the default scenery). Hello to all, I purchased X-plane 10 back in like 2018, never really used it much, but now I'm looking to dive back in. I purchased a Honeycomb aeronautical Alpha & bravo as well as a Logitch radio and rudder pedals. Can anyone point me to drivers for these for this version of X-plane? Or will i have to purchase a new version of the sim or go with MSFS? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

After flying just MSFS for the past 2 years I thought Id bring X-plane out of the hanger , with the latest version of XP12 and Auto Ortho i been presently surprized. Yeah graphically its not as good as MSFS but when cruising at higher levels its not far behind when using Auto ortho , there is something about XP that still make it a awesome enjoyable sim.

Is there a way to use the MAP in X-Plane 12 to build a flight plan? I have never been able to go to locations that were not within the default map view/range of the aircraft. Yes, I know there are programs outside of X-P like Sim-brief that build flight plans but now it seems you need a subscription to use it. For many years, MS flight sims allowed you to go anywhere in the world map without moving your aircraft while flight planning or looking for a airport identifier. If X-P allowed us to move further off the default area around the aircraft, I believe we would not need to rely on external programs to flight plan, I would like to hear your …

The past couple of days had an interesting problem develop with the last beta update. I had used the sim with no issues and then decided to go back to another airport or location, this produced a message about missing def files for the scenery area (They were given to look up) basically the land tiles went missing and I was underwater! Did an update check and usual installer verifer/update. That fixed one area. Went to another area or location, same problem again missing def files but now in a completely different area, tried another location which I had been using for the Mach Loop runs - again same issue missing def files and water everywhere. XPlane 12.07 RC1 is on the street (only available through the beta channel). It's actually a hotfix for 12.06, so what was described in the roadmap as 12.07 is now 12.08, 12.08 is now 12.09 etc. So don't get *too* excited... Never flown one in any sim, but its about time I added a helicopter to my fleet for a new challenge in XP12 🙂 For controls I have the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke, Bravo Throttle and rudder pedals. I guess a stick would be best, but I suppose the Alpha yoke will do for a start for pitch and roll. With 6 axis on the Bravo throttle I can use one for collective and one for throttle. I would appreciate recommendations for a good stick to use for heli flying that isn't too expensive - I don't have to look at bargain basement stuff but neither do I want to be spending hundreds while I find out if heli flying is for me. Running Xplane 12.05r1 I have no problem with minimizing and maximizing in windows mode, its instant, ie no delay, however using the updated ver 12.06r3 I get a 8 to 10 seconds pause/delay. This is without any addons or plugins just the default in both versions. I have all sliders to the right but i can reduce the delay by moving the antialasing slider to the left but it only reduces the delay. Have tried all other sliders but none showed any improvement. Both versions are excluded in the Defender. PC I9-12900ks GPU Nividia Geforce RTX 3090 ( driver 537.34 ) RAM 64 mb

Well had a surprise on arrival at YSSY in a mid level turboprop behind an Airbus A320 - ran smack into wake turbulence from the departing Airbus - sudden rolling and ptiching just like the real world. Never encountered that before. Checking the undercarriage to see nothing is soiled.

Hi all, after reading through a bunch of threads here, I picked up the Toliss A320Neo and am really liking it. Most of all, I like the comprehensive documentation that was included. I had asked this community about the best GA planes and got some great responses, and now I’d like to get a GA plane that has a similar level of documentation - something that really teaches you the plane. I bought the Airbus because I wanted to see XP12 from on high - and it really delivers. Now I’d like a GA plane that can get to say FL20 - not low and slow - and that also has really good manuals. what would you all recommend? thanks

I'm sure this is a basic thing but it's got me puzzled. I'm trying to get my XP12 system set up again. I'd not used XP for a while, since I got in to MSFS, but I got XP12 when it came out and a few months ago I started to get back in to it. But I'd forgotten about all the rigmarole with the scenery ini setup. I thought I'd got it sorted, but then had another break for a few months (real life stuff). Now, when I come back I'm finding weird stuff happening. Specifically, I'm trying to get things set up using symlinks to my XP11 Orbx GB True Earth files. I set the symlinks all up and place the appropriate entries in the ini file, start the sim, take a flight in one…
