Hi Folks, P3D v5.4 user here. I don't think I will completely get rid of P3D for now but would like to start my transition to another sim and just do not see myself going the MSFS route. I am hoping to hear thoughts on performance. Seems there is quite a bit of payware aircraft and scenery. I generally fly A320 for narrow body and 787/777 for my wide bodies. As you can imagine by my user name, I generally fly in and around Canada and seems there is a lot to offer for payware there as well. I guess I should add, how is backwards compatibility for say using something from Xplane 11 for XP12, specifically the Payware CYYZ available on simmarket for xp10/11. Is the…

Comparison of the livecam at the airport with Livetraffic in XP 12. Livetraffic is around 60-70 seconds delayed*, due to download of the data, processing them etc.. If you don't want to watch the entire video ... Start at 0:00, watch some seconds and jump forward to 1:00 min. Continue at 1:55 mins and watch until 4:50. Then go to 4:55, jump to 5:55, Go to 9:20, jump to 10:20 Finally watch 12:45 until the end. *IIRC I have seen (much) shorter times at other airports, i.e. 20-30 sec.

Hi, Anyone else having any cloud/shadow redraw issues or instant weather changes? If you jump to 38:41 into the video you'll see the flash I'm referring to out the left window. This seems to happen during weather updates, live weather is from XP12 with no weather/cloud 3rd party addons running, it's all default. Thanks

Thanks to @Franz007 for recommending me this video. This YT user tried XP12 coming from the competition and was shocked (for the better!) From the start to the end of the video, he particularly praises the flight model, both on the ground and in the air. I had a read of the XP12 manual and found the FPS recommendations interesting. It states 19fps is 'terrible, 25-35 ideal and higher FPS indicates the computer isn't rendering as much detail as it could. So the official stance is no more than 35FPS. Comments?

If you own an Nvidia 5090 and XP12 you might be interested in this: 1. It is possible to use >Smooth Motion> in XP12 (and possibly XP11 although not tested) That should double your FPS. 2. It is also possible to use >Frame Generation> in XP12. That should bring your FPS to 3X at the very least or 4X which I have not tested yet. Hi Everybody, Anyone experiencing this issue with their Tablet and Air Manager 5?, below is a ticket I just submitted to A/M. Hi, I run X-Plane 12 and whenever I try to connect my Tablet to Xplane for Zibo Mod EFB Air Manager keeps closing. I can see just before it closes that it is connected to XPlane 12. I uninstalled the app on the tablet and reinstalled, Air Manager still just crashes or closes as soon as it opens. If I run Air Manager 4.2 on my I pad it connects just fine. How can I fix this? For the past 5 days, onX-Plane 11, when trying to update the X-Aviation license, I've been getting this Gizmo64 message (can't find how to insert an image here) saying "Failed to connect to x-aviation.com port 443: Timed out". Of course it was working fine. I've checked on some "site checkers" and the site seems to be online, but I can't connect to x-aviation.com (on the browser too). And consequently I can't use the IXEG 737. Two windows on the upper roght corner - "License Expired, please connect to the internet" (??) and "License Data Invalid". Help?

I have the Toliss planes, and the Diamond DA42 as payware. While the planes are great, the cockpit textures are not all that great. I'd be interested to hear from the community - what do you think the best looking plane in XP 12 is? GA, Airliner (no military or helos please), freeware or paid is fine. Specifically, I'm looking for great texture work inside the cockpit so it looks as real as possible. XP has amazing lighting now so it makes average texture work look worse than before, and I've love to see a plane that really looks amazing. I use both sims and I've been curious about this for a while. For eg, the Fenix has really good textures. Also please …

If you want to fly the stock 737 you apparently have to have the flight box configured to some degree and some other stuff...if I set up for 10 mile final instead of takeoff will everything work?? Or is there a fast way to get to take off status? Also I noticed the parking brake on the 737 but when I searched the options for assigning it to a button there was no parking brake option....what menu choice do you use for that?

I have been alternating between default XP12 weather and ASXP in full control or passive mode. I regularly see this type of cloud anomaly with default XP12 weather.. I have not been seeing them in ASXP so far. Maybe this addon weather product is not using the type of cloud producing this error? I did report these odd cloud glitches during the beta but they are still there. It would be interesting to know why I do not see them in ASXP - maybe could help the Laminar team? Maybe its coincidence and I will eventually see them in ASXP, but not in the last two weeks!
