As I have a perfectly serviceable high end PC but one that does not have the security chip feature now required for WIN 11 so my XP use has been predicated on a relatively stable OS WIN10. What does XP do with an ageing OS architecture? Not much it will have to go with WIN 11 and keep the other OS's foremost - MACOS and Linux. I have not seen this issue raised by Laminar other than obliquely. Microsoft made my decision for me - despite a recent 32GBRAM and 16GBVID no security chip so no WIN11. XP12 is exceptional. After a week of tuning and configuring with help from this forum, I can't believe just how good XP12 looks and feels. The initial 'oh dear, this looks bad' after MSFS 2024, has been replaced with 'why has it taken me so long to give XP12 a good chance'?

I tried this method of sharpening with great results. Open the NVidia Control Panel. the top option should be Image sharpening. I set sharpen to 0.50, Ignore Film Grain 0.17. Really good result with XP12.

Do you keep XP12 vibrancy and saturation at default, or do you use any addons, NVCP controls or something else to change colour settings?

Lots of sim pilots were raving about the Hot Start Challenger 650 and how complex it is and how it is super high fidelity. Well I like a challenge. How hard could this be. Oh my gosh. The level of detail. I now know what study level is. I jumped in the cockpit and started flipping switches and pressing buttons. I was not in the mood to read manuals or work through 5 pages of checklists. When I got stuck I fired up YouTube and left it running in the background. This plane is really over the top for me. The most realistically represented sky colors in a commercial flight sim, ever.

If I view the scene from an external view, I am seeing a bright, HDR view (RTX HDR turned on). However, from the cockpit view the scene is less bright. Thinking this was a tinted cockpit screen, I scrolled the view to the left until I was outside and clear of the propellor disk - still less bright than an external view. Can anyone comment on this?

It is a random image with real weather unprepared, maybe for a fighter simulator is not the size but I think the graphics are very correct for a flight simulator and the scenery is free ortho4xp Alicante area in Spain.

It is not often that post up freeware scenery unless they are stunning. In this case this one is a little personal. Back in Aug of 2023 the author of this scenery was going to pull the plug due to some users were not appreciating the work they went into the scenery. I and others gave him word of encourage and told he that its ok to take a break from all the noise but don't give up, because if you do, they win. Well it appears he is back and has release version 4.3.0 and it really looks great for a freeware. Did a sim flight today from Sao Tome to Luanda in the F27 (Flyingtaks infuriatingly good F27). Really gave the clouds and weather a really good try out - heavy Atlantic equatorial weather (CB's etc etc) The F27 has the default Laminar Bendix Weather Radar Installed but has never done anything I have noticed before. Well out in Equatorial Africa this morning with some pretty amazing clouds and weather the Weather Radar screen came alive and displayed pretty accurate weather compared to outside on the screen. i have checked this in several aircraft. seems to be throughout the sim, XP12. Any ideas would be most appreciated. I have tried a computer restart too.

Hello all. I just bought X-Plane 12 and love it. I have been using the flight recorder fine with the Zibo 737 and Toliss 321. I just got the Flight Factor 777 and now the flight recorder doesn't work. When I replay the clip nothing happens. But if I continually press the play button, the video advances once frame at a time. The other issues is that in the top left corner it says "Horizon". Lastly, in the bottom right corner how do I get rid of this icon of what I guess is the pilot and co-pilot? Hi all, I am new to the platform and hoping to get some knowledge from experienced users. I'm currently training to be a pilot and thought Xplane 12 would be a good training tool. However, I have been struggling with the initial setup. I have purchased and downloaded on the steam app. I am currently using a mac. When I setup originally the world loaded and after trying to download custom scenery from the gateway for Ireland airports. I can't seem to get anything else other than a water world.
