  2. Hi, I've installed the latest drivers from Nvidia (581.08), yet when I add the X-plane 12 program to the app it states the program doesn't support optimization. If I select smooth motion as a global setting, my XP12 frames are cut in half and I get massive flickers. I have three Asus 4090 video boards with 24 GB memory running on three 75" Samsung UHDTV monitors. Any ideas Thanks

Hi, I have been using p2atc version 3, for the last 3 months. It worked wonderful. In the last week, something has changed and I can't hear the atc orders and answers. All I get is text notices, which are coming together with a novice like a "jet engine" 🤣. How could I fix the problem ? Thanks Avinoam

  4. Started by Pivot,

Just giving a thumbs-up 👍 to the new NVIDIA (581.08) driver for the Fluid Motion ability in RTX-40 series cards. Installed this driver today, applied the standard settings I use with X-Plane and clicked the Fluid Motion toggle as a test. Now to back up a little, I have been using Lossless Scaling for quite some time now, which is still a good option, but wanted to test the new FM facility in this driver. Started the normal items first, XPME, RivaTuner 1/2 Refresh, OpenTrack, then ran XP12 with VFA Piper. Steady FPS the whole time and absolutely less lag than LS. I plan on testing it some more on other games to see if it's a placebo but so far 👍👍..

I hope i am missing something here, but... How do i create a profile for what will be a company route to be used by different aircraft? I guess i could create one with no passengers or cargo, but the required fuel will be different f.ex. between a B720 and a B777... I tried using a A320 profile in an E-jet but got various errors about fuel and weight etc. Perhaps a Virtual airline would be the way to go, but a quick google gives me mostly online versions which seem to bo overkill for what I want. Is there a simple local version / plugin that could be used? Thanks for any replies Regards Tony

  8. In case anyone is not aware, KEVV Evansville Regional Airport version 2.0 is out along with the X-Codr Design Library Update that was announced back in Aug 11th 2025. This is really a nice looking airport from Xcodr which showcase its newly release library that will work with all existing X-Codr airport that uses it. Here are details in the link below. https://forums.x-plane.org/forums/topic/334810-kevv-evansville-regional-airport-v20-x-codr-designs-library-update-out-now/

  9. Hi Everybody, I seem to have an issue with Simbrief using different weather data from XP12 and as a result I have AI aircraft landing in the opposite direction most of the time. Anyone else experience this and if so, is there a fix. Thanks

Hi, X-Plane 12 has a new beta version of their installer available. It fixes some smaller issues and more importantly adds support for Fedora Linux 42. Please report any issues via their bug report page. 11. It had been quite a while since I had last tried Brett's Bell 47 in Xp9 : X-Plane v9 - beta 6 - Bell47 at LOWIYes Yesterday I gave it a go, in the latest Xp12 version from the .Org and WOWWWWWWW !!!! What a delight !!!! We have to love Brett 🙂 : Brett S. Blunt, Brilliant, and Probably Right - Interviews - Developer Spotlight - X-Plane.Org Forum Make sure you fly it without the "fake" governor/ correlator as the original was, although Brett has included a "switch" to allow users who don't want all that realism to be able to operate it using only the collective, and at most the carburetor heat.

Do you know if I buy the new WinWing FMC box, about 150$, for the 737 will it work in XP 11? and if I want to use the FMC for other planes ,Boeing ,which model will work with several Boeing planes like the 737/787/77/....Would the Airbus fmc work on a Boeing? thanks

  13. Hi, For quite a while now, had been using xplane-12 on Windows system with RealSimGear (RSG) GNS-430 and Reality-XP plugin. This morning, finally got around to unboxing a GTN750 and followed along the RSG setup tutorial on YouTube no problem. However, doing so caused side effects on the GNS-430. I searched forums here but didn't see my problem so thought I would ask here. I've attached screen images, refer to them as you read this. The GTN works great, already flew the VOR-A into KOKB with it and so happy. As for the 430 - X-Plane will not allow me to select 2D monitor for it in Settings/Graphics tab. When I boot windows, it's a monitor. https://drive.…

Howdy folks, As a user of MSFS I'm spoiled with the excellent quality of the default Garmin GNS 530/430 by Working Title. Is there a unit like this available for X-Plane 12? I have found out the old trustworthy GNS units by Reality XP, which I have used in Prepar3D and X-Plane 11, are compatible with X-Plane 12, but only as popups. Does anyone know of aircraft available for X-Plane 12 where the Reality XP unit is integrated in the virtual cockpit? Or, is there another GNS solution available?

  15. As I have written recently about weather in XP 12 - here's another proof (not by me). That's what I call weather representation!! As we know, flying through (thunderstorm) clouds in X-Plane IS dangerous and avoiding them a must. Please note: clouds cast shadows on themselves - and other clouds (not only the ground). Other than in ... I leave the rest to your imagination ... 😉

  16. Started by Mike_CFII_MEL,

Hi Everybody, I would imagine 12.3 is well into alpha testing, looking forward to beta testing real soon! As for the X-Plane online store, will one be able to purchase items other than software/hardware? Will there be an option to purchase X-Plane apparel? anyone know? Thanks

I am not sure if everyone has seen this and forgive me if you have. But I just found from this on the discord that an open session of Q&A with Austin and Ben took place on Reddit July 10 2025. It has a lot of good information of what is going on with Xplane. Here is the like below. Enjoy.

  18. Just a heads-up to help others avoid the mistake I made with XP12’s install location. I had it on an external USB drive, which was running at 100% load. Simlink couldn’t retrieve data reliably, so it kept retrying every second causing constant stutters. Navigraph support jumped on a Zoom call with me and quickly pinpointed the issue. I’ve since moved XP12 to my internal NVMe SSD — load times are way faster, stuttering is gone, and performance is solid (60–100 fps, dropping to 40s over dense areas like LA). Huge thanks to the Navigraph team for the excellent support!

It has been a while since I last visited ELITE's site, but as of today it revealed an interesting information regarding their 3D Scenery & Custom Airports offers, namely for LM P3d and X-Plane sims. "ELITE brings a new level of environment customization for your Lockheed Martin P3D or X-plane sim." Scenery & Visual Systems – ELITE Simulation Solutions These visual systems allow their simulators to be run with external visuals provided by P3d or X-Plane. I was a long time user of ELITE, and while I regret they've given up on their desktop line of simulators, just as ALSIM did too, it's always good to know they're still active and quite alive!, a…

  20. I can hardly find anything out there for XP12 in the Pacific Northwest (Washington and Oregon state). I recently bought this really nice Canadian general aviation airport, CZBB Boundary Bay. It's near Vancouver. But I want to do a flight from somewhere in Washington State (preferably Seattle area so it's not a super long flight). I don't see much for freeware or payware. Anyone have any recommendations?

  21. Started by MrBitstFlyer,

I have a Navigraph subscription, which I used extensively in MSFS 2020/2024. However, in XP12, the Navigraph plugin is causing a rhythmic stutter - roughly once every second. It really impacts performance and makes it difficult to use. Has anyone found a workaround for this? As it stands, I can't use Navigraph in XP12 with that kind of stutter.

  22. I'm starting to think CFD is the better approach. I know XPlane uses Blade Element Theory(BET) for simulating aerodynamics. I always thought this was probably the best approach. I also knew that MSFS chose to use Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD), and I wondered why they did not choose BET which was the selling point for better flight dynamics in XPlane. I saw an interview with SEB of Asobo where he was asked about it and he said something along the lines of, "there are more than one way to calculate flight dynamics, we chose CFD"(not his exact quote). He also mentioned that Asobo was able to significantly bump up the resolution for the computation being used on surf…

  23. Hi, I'm having a look at X-plane, both 11 and 12. My Saitek throttle is recognised. The problem is that I have a VKB Gladiator NXT Evo joystick that isn't recognised. I get this message as X-plane starts, then go into the configuration screen, get everything calibrated, and then save to a configuration profile. Everything apparently OK. But when X-plane gets to the cockpit, the joystick doesn't work. Yet if I go into configuration it shows all the axes set up correctly. The only similar problem I can find is at https://questions.x-plane.com/11333/saitek-controls-calibrate-unconfigured-joystick-appears, but I've tried the steps and references suggested…

  24. Various users at another thread are debating different choices. I would like to have a statistic of use of some of those choices. Thank you for your cooperation !

  25. I have been reading that the Map enhancement mod adds realistic ground scenery for XP12. My question is, is there a way to get buildings, etc, placed on this scenery too?
