Hi, trying to install the switch panel on new PC. Used the installation CD that came with it, and have the correct entry in the exe.xml. When that didn't work, I installed the latest software from Saitek. Still nothing. If I try to start the SaiPanels.exe manually, I get the message "the application has failed to start because it's side-by-side configuration is incorrect." Side-by-side with what ?. It worked fine on my previous PC. When you download the software, it asks if operating system is 32 or 64 bit. I choose 64 bit, but notice that, whichever you choose, you get the same Saitek_Pro_Flight_Panels_7_0_34_109 which is 32 bit. Would'nt think that's …

Hi Looking for a bit of advise on how I can still use my throttle quadrant from my Saitek cessna yoke as it does not have a USB connection. I have recently bought the X55 and use that pretty much all the time now,but I still prefer my throttle quadrant for some of the features that I can use it for eg speedbrakes and reverse thrust. Is there on the market some sort of converter plug that can change the connection on the throttle to a usb so I can plug that into my pc cheers

G'day Simmers I recently purchased the Saitek X55 and when I tried mapping the slider switch and the mini joystick on the throttle unit to FSX functions, FSX does not recognize the input when I activate the switches. I thought had a faulty unit until I tried the X55 with Prepar3D and the switches are indeed recognized and working. I have my slider set up as air brake and it works perfectly. Appreciate any advice.

Hello,I have the Saitek Yoke and throttle. These are clamped to the desk using some sort of plastic screw with a leveling disc on top of it. Unfortunately I lost the disc.Does anyone know where I can obtain a new disc?

  5. Good day all, I am considering buying one of the above but, after reading all the available info I cannot find out if it is possible to program one of the levers for a flap controller and one of them for the spoiler control. The info notes that each lever has a detent but how does that help with selective flaps or arming/setting spoilers etc. Any advice on this much appreciated Mike

Hey All, I couldn't find any recent posts about wireless mics. I would be interested to hear from anyone that is using one to see if they like it. Are there any problems with interference? I'm thinking of getting one for a couple of reasons. I mostly fly on VATSIM. I've recently routed all voice (ATC) through my existing headset (not sure why I didn't do this before) On long flights, I sometimes need to get up, go to the other side of the room, etc. I don't stray too far away when I'm on VATSIM, but with my current set up I'm afraid of missing a call. I suppose I could switch the speakers in FSX sound menu but that seem like a pain. I'm willing to spend $50-$…

I just got the x52 Pro and after getting around the nightmare known as installing its drivers correctly I launched FSX. In there I noticed that for some reason the stick isn't linear. Is there any setting in FSX to fix this? I'm also looking around in the x52 software but I can't seem to find anything. If anyone with the x52 has some tips please let me know

After flying all fat dumb and happy for a little while, I got the brilliant idea that I needed to actually learn how to operate the aircraft I was flying in simulator... big mistake! Now, I find that for "proper" operation, there are a lot of systems and subsystems with discrete switches that really do need attention before, during, and after a flight! So, I figured there must be something available from the manufacturers of controllers out there to fit the bill. There is, sort of. Saitek has panels already set up for several functions and it certainly is possible to reassign switches through FSUIPC when needed but, I still find their panels a bit limited. GoF…

I have the saitek x 55 rhino and need help setting up split throttles. I tried assigning in FSUIPC. The only way I can get the throttles to work at all is by moving both in fsx controllers and using the default axis. Any help?

Looks like CKAS has a motion platform for sale around the ~5000.00 AUD mark. Perhaps within the next few years this will be within reach for the enthusiast market (I was looking for something around the 2000 mark). In the mean time, I'll be doing some research, and perhaps I can try and construct one when I'm more knowledgable. I'll be planning to put a FDS Jetmax, or MIP onto a motion platform. Is this a feasible idea, and has anyone attempted this for home use?

.....and WOW have I been missing out! Really surprised at how good the build quality is of this unit (far superior to the standard Saitek Yoke and Throttle Quadrant).... perhaps it's because it adorns the Cessna logo  Anyway, I captured my thoughts and a couple of pics in this AVSIM Member's Review ;- http://forum.avsim.net/reviews/content/20-saitek-cessna-trim-wheel-a-must-for-the-ga-flyer/#review

I got an x52 Pro and I can't get it working on my desktop PC. I hook it up to my laptop and I can install the software and drivers from the Saitek site and it all works great. But then I try to do the same with my desktop PC and its a nightmare. I did some digging around and found that apparently the x52 has problems with a USB 3.0 port, so I plugged it into the back of my PC where I have a 2.0, but this didn't fix anything. If I try to download the new drivers from either the CD or website my whole computer goes nuts. First it doesn't let me install the drivers. I can get to the screen saying plug in whatever you want updated drivers for but when I click next it just sta…

  13. I'm running X-Plane 10 and after installing the drivers for the Saitek Radio Panel, I noticed that at first, there was NO RED LED display on the panel. Then after recycling the X-Plane 10, and repeatedly unplugging and plugging in the Panel and using the Windows 8 Test software from Saitek, that the displays showed but were all, missing the middle horizontal segment display. 3 looks like ] 8, looks like a 0. I'm wondering if anyone has encountered a similar problem?

  14. Hi, I just installed Prepar3D (its been sitting on my computer for two plus weeks), and I am encountering a problem with the throttle not responding to my joystick Logitech Attack3. It works without any problems with FSX, and it works in that ailerons move, etc. but there is no throttle. I have done a search, but the ones I have seen mention other scenarios, but mine has no throttle power whatsoever. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated, thanks!!

I JUST got my x52 Pro that I bought brand new and updated the drivers and software from the website, and the trigger is not being picked up. I also don't feel any 2-stage trigger, there's no stop in the middle. I'm gonna try to talk to Saitek support about this but in the meanwhile does anyone here know what to do? Update: the trigger must have been stuck on something because I opened it up and played around with it and put it back together and it works fine now. The 2-stage trigger does too. Not entirely sure what the initial problem was but I guess something was stuck and taking it apart un-stucked it

  16. Hi all, I've been working on this for several nights with no luck. I currently run FSX and have a number of Saitek devices hooked up to my tower including the Saitek Radio Panel and Switch Panel. When I launch FSX, the Saitek Radio Panel lights up correctly, however I notice that in my System Tray there is the Saitek Flight Panel Icon and when I hover over it, it says: Saitek ProFlight Panels for FS2004(FSUIPC) I think, at some point, I may have accidentally clicked "Launch the Flight Sim 2004 (FSUIPC) plugin" located in the Saitek Pro Flight Panels folder in my Start Menu. I have tried reinstalling the drivers for my Saitek panels several times and trying to run CClean…

  17. My CH Throttle quad is acting up , particularly with Throttle #1 (second lever from the left on my setup). I have tried to re-calibrate under windows but what is happening is that the range -16000 to 16000 is fine but from about 60% of the way to the full throttle position, the lever position gets stuck and then at then end it jumps directly to 16000. I have reset to default and it works normally now but the issue is that the default numbers are off and the Throttles are not in sync at the same position. So the question is how do you completely remove the device from windows so that I can start over with Windows recognizing a new device and installing the appropri…

  18. Has anyone here who is living outside the US ever considered using a freight forwarding service to ship their sim hardware purchases? I had a look at the PFC website and their UPS shipping quotes (e.g. to New Zealand) can be more than the yoke itself, whereas it's only $50-$100 for domestic US shipping. Certainly it must be cheaper if the freight forwarder can ship via an ocean container.

I can't find the answer anywhere so I am hoping someone can help. Where in the FSX.cfg file do I slow down the rate at which the view moves around when you use the HAT switch. It moves way to quick for me. I remember somewhere in the .CFG file there was a value to adjust. Thanks

  20. Hi Warthog owners. I am having trouble calibrating my axes through FSUIPC. I have read tons of different sometimes conflicting instructions on how to calibrate the axes through FSUIPC. I have them working fairly well but I have a few issues with the overall "feel". I also cannot get any other aircraft other than the PMDG aircraft to work properly. In all other aircraft I have no control over the axes or throttles. If there are any Warthog owners who calibrate through FSUIPC and if you feel comfortable would you mind posting your FSUIPC config file for me to compare with my own. Thanks in advance for your help!

I've got several posts on the saitek 'support' (ha!) forum, but they just ignore anything they can't answer. Certainly won't buy anything else from them.So I'm trying here again...On my Multi-panel (the one with flaps and trim), the rotary selection dial on the far left is almost impossible to use...The knob itself is only about 1cm in diameter and is so stiff to turn, I sometimes need two hands to opperate it! Crazy! If thumb or finger are even slightly moist, it's simply impossible to use.I contacted the retailer I purchased it from. They said, "it's how they are - they're all the same".I assume from this that it's a very poor quality rotary switch. How do other users d…

Hi, Continuing my venture to add some switches to my sim, I have stumbled across two neat-looking panels: the GF 8 toggle switch panel (http://www.flightsimstore.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=158&products_id=1187) and 8 pushbutton panel (http://www.flightsimstore.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=158&products_id=1186). Since Google search results did not give software compatibility, I'd like to ask: does anyone know if these panels are configurable with FSUIPC and/or LINDA? I'm looking at purchasing two of these panels and using them with complex add-ons (PMDG, LDS, Aerosoft etc.) Thank you in advance for assistance.

  23. Hi , I have Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System for FSX and fly PMDG 777 and PMDG MD-11 for most of the time. I also have Logitech joystick with twist handle which I use for moving planes on ground. I know having rudder pedals will enhance my flying experience but is that a must to have rudder pedals when you use yoke system especially during manual landing of these giant birds?

Just wondering if anyone has the WP-6 working with the CS 777 ... specifically the Warning and Caution. I've got it working in terms of the lights going on and even when I press the WP-6 to disable the warning ... however, I can't seem to find out what event I need to turn OFF the alarm sound. If use the VC and mouse to click on the warning button, it disables as expected and the alarm sound turns off. But when using my WP-6 button I see the button animate/press, the warning light goes out, but the sound remains. Any hints at what events I need to turn the alarm sound off? These are the primary events, but I can't detect or see any sound events. G02_001_LT1…

I am looking for yet another pair of rudder pedals after going through three crappy made and designed Saitek Rudder Pedals with in the past 3 years! Looking around Google for good quality worth the money rudder pedals and came across the MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals. I would like to know if anyone has these at home and what are they like? Worth the purchase?
