Does anyone have any comments on this yoke? I have had a Saitek one for a few years now and am considering an upgrade. It is more expensive so is it better and worth the money? Any other better choices available? thanks Paul

Hi all, I want to warn you all when looking for a Yoke at ACE Yokes , a company in Brampton, Cananda : www.737yoke.com . I paid and ordered my yoke in dec,2013! Until today it never got delivered. If you are lucky you get an answer via email every two to four month. Here is the thread in the cockpitbuilders-forum : http://www.cockpitbu...g33416#msg33416 This should be a warning for all of us that want to spend serious money on our hobby! Please be careful! This is my experience but if you read the thread you can see that I am not the only one. Miguel

I replaced my Saitek Throttle Quadrant last week. When I plugged it in for the first time, it reset a lot of my previously custom set key assignments and axis controls...so I had to redo all those assignments and re-calibrate. Everything seemed okay, EXCEPT one annoying issue: every time I come out of Slew mode, throttle goes to 70% and flaps go to 10 degrees...(I have throttle and flaps set to 2 of the quadrant axes). It is as if the controller's axes are being reset to middle position when I come out of slew. I dont know what is causing this and it is very annoying. (Example, when I slew to new position on a taxi way, my throttle revs up to 70%, even though my cont…

Hi Guys, I have read through most threads looking into the fundamentals for using Oculus DK2 with FSX / PMDG 737 with no success. I have set up my Oculus so that it works fine within its owns testing clip (ROTATION OF MONITOR ETC) but when I start FSX nothing more than a normal screen appears on the DK2 display regardless having set track IR on or off inside EZCA. I am not familiar with head tracking as I have been using FSX with one 30" 2k main screen and 4 x 24" monitors for the instruments and never used anything like TrackIR before. I don't know if Fsuipc (of which I have the full version), is used to address any of the controls ether. I need to understan…

Does anyone know why there are no "assigned" button numbers for the china hat and the similar control to the left of button 1 on the right throttle? Thrustmaster lists a "number assignment" for all of the buttons and 4 way switches, yet these two are blank - they don't give them any number at all - just a bunch of arrows indicating the circular motion of the switch itself. . I wanted to make up charts when I set up aircraft - and wondered how they distinguish the China Hat - it has to be identified on a list some how??? I'm still relatively new to this so excuse me if the answer is obvious somewhere. Any clues? WG

Hello, I just recently purchased CH Rudder pedals. I already own the CH flightstick. OS is Win 7 64 bit/P3d 2.4 with lots of bells and whistle add-ons on a 3 month old fast PC. I typically fly Aerosoft A319/320/321 series. After plugging CH pedals in yesterday all seemed well. The flight controls showed full range of motion visually and on the MFD. I taxiied a bit gleefully and did one x-wind takeoff from KPHP, but I needed to add power to get the aircraft rolling but I figured p3D loaded a full fuel A320 so its to be expected. Those who sim the Aerosoft series know that it typically starts rolling once you release the parking brake. Last night I did …

Hi All, I am a longtime forum-lurker, newbie member and first-time poster! I have already built a fully-loaded custom made aluminium Main Instrumet Panel (MIP) targetting GA (single, twin etc.) comprising the following Saitek modules: - Cessna Yoke, Rudder pedals and Trim Wheel - 2x Radio Panels - 2x Backlit Information Panels (BIP's) - 2x Throttle quadrants - 1x Throttle, Prop, Mixture panel (TPM with switches) - 11x Flight Intrument Panels (LCD FIP's) - 1x Switch Panel - 1x Multi-Panel - 1x iPad on flexi-mount My plan was always to focus on GA / low and slow (I hope to start on my PPL/CPL soon), hence this 'equipment' - with an occasional 'play'…

Hi all, this has probably been done to death, but if someone can point me in the right direction, that would be great. I'm building a set of controls to replicate the aircraft I fly in real life (Tecnam Eaglet). First time I butchered an existing joysting, which worked to a degree. I've now got a Leo Bodnar card on the way to do it properly, and with many more switches. I'll be using FSUIPC as the interface, so any experience here would be great. What I'm interested in now is the outputs from FSX. If anyone has experience with using a Micro Maestro or similar to run servos for gauges, I'm keen to hear experience. Also, anyone that has successfully managed …

I have seen that the little Saitek Instrument Panels have had routines written for them that allow them to be used for more functions than the default settings allowed. I have not seen one that lets them mimic the MFD in a 737-like aircraft. Does anyone know if such a mod exists? Bill

Hi, I am getting exacberated with my Saitek Cessna Yoke... The elevator and to a certain extent ailerons are too sensitive... A slight pull back on the yoke results in an immediate "Climb"... Is there a way I can get a dead zone...The climb doesn't start until I pull back a little further...The same with the ailerons if possible... I calibrate through FSUIPC and have a slope of 5... Any help would be much appreciated... Dave

Hi I own the x55 saitek hotas system and I would like to use the rotary switches for things like rudder and aileron trim but fsuipc does not recognise these switches I have a registered version of Fsuipc ,but I have no idea how to get fsuipc to recognise these controls any idea how to go about it? thanks

This is a relatively new item and it did work fine until recently; now I get to aileron or elevator response at all, while all the rest still works fine. Even when I calibrate in Win7, there is no response for the X/Y axis. I believe the cause might have been plugging in my old X52 HOTAS at the same time. So I have started down the journey of using FSUIPC to map functions, or at least I have decided to do that. Have not really gotten anywere with that yet. My problem is illustrated PERFECTLY here in this video that I found online, so I at least know that I am not alone here and it isn't some freak occurance. I have started also to remove all the Sai…

My Siatek throttle is dying on me and I am thinking of getting one of the PFC throttle quadrants I know they are probably good but the price kind of hurts. Has anyone used them I would like to get some feed back before I pull the trigger, Thanks.

Here are my Twin Otter files (Aerosoft): Includes MCP-Pro ... got most of the switches/knobs ... forgot to do boost pumps. Includes files: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw0Q-fAfEZwyekZZM0Y0ZnBYMTQ/view?usp=sharing Aerosoft_DHC6.xml Aerosoft_DHC6_GFMCPPRO.xml BespokeEvents.xml (don't NOT overwrite your existing BespokeEvents.xml, merge the file) BespokeVariables.xml (stubs only - again, merge the file) Settings.xml (don't NOT overwrite your existing Settings.xml, merge the file) Set to "Aerosoft_DHC6" so any variant that starts with this should work. For using with Steve's GIT (Goflight Interface Tool) found here: http://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/…

Hey guys, So I've had FSX for about a day now. I have the whole Pro Flight set up from Saitek (Yoke, Pedals, Two Throttle Quadrants). I have the two quadrants lined up side by side to fly airliners. At the moment I am set up to fly a 4 engine aircraft (left lever - speed breaks, 4 inner levers - throttles, and right lever - flaps). I noticed that when I move the flaps down with the quadrant, the actual flaps in the simulator don't start extending until I am about half way down the quadrant. Not sure what's going on. I am using FSUIPC to configure everything. I have the speed breaks and flaps set to reverse because of realistic settings. Hope you can help! : ) …

Hi, (1) I dont have Space for yoke and pedals. I fly GA aircrafts with my laptop. I am looking for recommandations for a flightstick. ?? (2) I have just bought a Mad Catz F.L.Y. 5 Flightstick, but my Cessna has a tendency turning to the left all the time. So I am not satisfied with this stick so far. I have tried to calibrate the stick with out luck. Any ideas for solution? BR Lars

Can someone provide the precise (in mm) measurements (length, width an hight) of the levers (without the knobs) of the CH Throttle levers? The length should be the amount of lever sticking uit of the housing. And I would also like to know the exact distance between the levers in mm. I sure hope someone can help me out here. Thanks in advance

Hi I've had my Saitek yoke for about 5 years now, and it's now about time to replace it. I've never really been truly happy with it so I'm thinking of stepping up a tad. First I looked at the GoFlight yoke, but having it shipped to Scandinavia + plus the taxes it's just to expensive... So now I'm looking at the VRInsight and PFC yokes, but I'm having a hard time deciding. Does anybody in here own one of them, or maybe even a third one? I just need to be able to purchase it from within the EU. Thanks.

I started up FSX today and noticed that for some reason my yoke is acting up. I have never had a problem before. I started a flight and then on autopilot the yoke turned right and was stuck right. I restarted FSX multiple times and as soon as it loaded the yoke was locked in a right turn in the simulator. I checked calibration and everything was fine so I am not sure what is going on. I was able to pull it to the left and then it went immediately back to the right. Obviously it is impossible when the yoke is turned all the way to the right yet my actually controller is in detent. Any thoughts?

Hello all. I am at my wits end! I've searched on all the forums for an answer to this problem. I found lots of info but can't figure it out. The problem. I use to fly FSX with a Logiteck Extreme 3D Pro and was able to assign different items to the buttons on the joystick and that worked fine and it remained the same for all the next sessions of FSX. I've since removed that joystick, plugged in my new Saitek Pro flight yoke, throttle and Saitek rudder pedals, intalled the latest drivers and successfully calibrated same. I assigned a bunch of buttons to the yoke, set my throttle axis and rudder pedal assignments using the FSX control section. It flew great for…

Hi guys Don't know if anyone has tried this and succeded or not ,hopefully someone has. I have the Saitek yoke and throttle quadrant and also the Saitek x55 hotas system. Since getting the X55 I have hardly used the yoke but still like the throttle quadrant for certain things,I'm really tied for space but I would like to continue to use the throttle but not the yoke just now,but as the throttle came as part of the yoke/throttle package it has a ps2 connector as opposed to a usb which connects to the yoke instead of a usb slot I have been in touch with Saitek to see if they have some sort of ps2 to usb connector but all they did was tell me to go to their shop and bu…

Few times in my life can I remember something which has brought such anger. I recently purchased the TQ6 throttle quadrant from GoFlight; you all know the one, and simply put, it doesn't work. By that I mean, it doesn't plug in and do its job properly. Now, I know, I probably need a registered version of FSUIPC to begin with, and then some choreography and calibration to get it to work right, and from the posts I have found on the advanced throttle, it seems I might have to repeat the process occasionally. Hmmmm. Perhaps it is just me, but if you pay nearly $500 for something, why should you have to pay another $30 for a program (from a different maker) to get i…

Hi all, I have aproblem with throttle control, whenever I start FSX the throttles are running at 50% N1 I have tried resetting them manually on the keyboard and by moving the throttle quadrant levers back to idle, but as soon as I start fsx again or touch the throttles they idle at 50%. I have recalibrated my saitek pro flight several times but the problem is still there. also can anybody tell me how to find FSX.CFG on windows 7 64. FSX is on my D drive loaded simply D\FSX Not on program files X86. I have not had any prevous problems with the throttle control. Also I get skeleton planes sometimes mid flight with PMDG 747 is there a work around for this problem? Many thanks…

Has anyone set up a profile for the X55 Rhino for commercial airliners, or has seen somewhere suggestions about setting it up? For example I saw a post about using one of the toggle switches for reverse thrust as there are no indents for the throttles as the pro flight quadrant. Thanks Gary
