Hello everybody, I am considering getting a joystick for FSX. There are two possibilities. The 'Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Joystick' or the 'Speedlink Black Widow Flightstick'. I know this isn't a comparison website, but what are your opinions on the above two? Many thanks, TiggCJ

Hi Guys! Here's an adapter for the Saitek Throttle Quadrant I am developing now. It gives a more realistic experience flying an airliner, because of the 40 degree angle. Will be for sale soon! The B777 Throttle lever set will also be available in a few weeks. More to come. If someone has any suggestions or requests, you're welcome! Send me a PM.

Hi, i just got the 737 TQ today and hoping someone who is using this with the 737 NGX can help me with my questions - Do you need the FDS glare to work the 737 ngx with the TQ or can you just assign through FSUIPC? I have got the flaps and spoliers plus the engine thrust levers working. BUT i'm having trouble with the reversers i have set the offset word set per the jetmax TQ737 guide but when i use the reversers they only move to the idle part and not all the way back depending on how far i move both levers. Also i have assigned the parking brake through FSUIPC and that doesn't function like it should, i can get it to engage and release but not the way it sho…

I have the Throttletek throttles, PFC yoke and Saitek rudder pedals. For 4 years they worked perfectly. Then yesterday, something went wrong. When I turn the yoke, the left engine's power increased, when I advanced the throttles, the reverse thruster activated, Everything is so wacked out I spent 3 hours trying to re-configure axis in FSX and make sure they were properly assigned. I think they are good now. But yoke only allows me left turns (may be a hardware issue), but throttles just give me wacky control. Their calibration and set up in FSUIPC look perfect. I get stable and full range of motion on throttles calibration page. Any ideas of how to proceed?

Yes, that's correct. My Saitek rudder pedals have been working perfectly for the past 4 years that I have had them, and one day after closing the sim, they decided not to work next time started again. It's weird because I reinstalled Windows 8 and my Saitek joystick and throttle set are not being recognized in device manger. When the sim starts, they light up and work, but when the sim is closed, they are dark and are not recognized by my computer. I have tried to disable "Computer cuts power to device to save power." option in the device manager, but they are not listed. I tried installing drivers from Saitek.com, but they driver installer doesn't recognize them …

Hi guys, I'm wondering if I should increase the immersion factor for my 737 simming experience and considering purchasing a 737 MCP and possibly also an EFIS panel. I'm thinking that these two other ones I would get the most joy out of having in real hardware. I already have a touchscreen which I placed the FMC on, so there is no rush to get a hardware FMC. My very long-term plan is perhaps to slowly build things out to a full cockpit, but there is no rush. It is therefore of some importance that the hardware I purchase can work well in a full set up. I've looked around a bit and see that there are a number of suppliers of these two panels, and am having troub…

I'm tired of flying the PMDG 737 with only a joystick, so I've decided to splurge and build a whole cockpit. My budget isn't bad, but it isn't great either (let's say maybe... a few thousand dollars over the course of one year). Anyways, I want to begin my project by making the throttle quadrant first. There are two ways I can go about this (that I know of): Buy two saitek throttle quadrants and merge them together, which would give me six slots - 2 Throttle, 2 Reversers, 1 Spoiler and 1 Flap, plus six switches that I have yet to decide a purpose for < OR > Buy an Arduino chipset and Make my own throttle box, which might give me more room to customize…

I'm having trouble installing my Saitek Pro Flight yoke. I'm starting the driver installer, it asks me to plug in the yoke which I do, then the windows drivers begin to install, among which the USB 2.0 MTT Hub driver and this one fails constantly. Al ready tried updating drivers manually, but the latest is installed, tried to do an automatic install with automatic updates turned on. Tried different things untill windows got stuck and I had to do a complete reinstall from windows up and even then the same problem occurred. The installation of this driver has never been a problem and nothing has changed about the computer setup. Has anyone any idea how to get this dr…

Just wondering if these panels can be used with the PMDG777 and NGX. I am afraid to ask about the MCDash8-Q400. At present I am using the Saitek yoke and Pedals with no problem controlled through FSUIPC, FSX and Windows7-64 with the planes. I had problems with the Saitek throttles so I bought a CH throttle quad and it works fine thanks to FSUIPC. thanks Paul

Hello Everyone! I recently started using the Aerosoft Airbus V1.21 and love it except one MAJOR issue. Reverse Thrust is SEVERELY DELAYED (Flying the A320 IAE or the A319 IAE, have yet to test the CFM variant). On touch down I wont be able to deploy reverse thrust until nearly 60kts or less. I have tried searching the forums and google for an answer and I found only one link, but it doesn't take me to the link/ post on here that discusses it. I am using a Saitek X52 pro, which I have calibrated and functions properly with the ABX, reverse thrust even works if I am at taxi or idle, but even at taxi it is a good 5+ second delay, on landing its 5x worse …

Has anyone heard of a game controller issue with Windows 8 and FSX? I have an X52 Pro and at random times the joystick will stop working inside the game. If I then go to Options > Settings > Controls within the games top menu bar the actual controller would no longer be listed. Although if I open the control panel/game controllers it would still respond in that window. So it only happens within the game and it does it at random times, a real pain when you lose control when coming into land after a long flight. It doesn't seem to be the USB power settings because they have been changed and it doesn't matter what USB port the Saitek X52 is plugged into. I actu…

I have a fly5 joystick and I'm having a bit of trouble with the throttle. I'm mainly flying the Majestic Dash but the joystick seems to have terrible accuracy on the throttle. For example I push the throttle all the way forward and it goes to max power, I try to back it off a bit and nothing happens and then continue to back off millimetre by millimetre and then it just drops down to about 80% power! Like wise it's similar at low power, it seems to jump from 6 to 17 to 30% It's really difficult to get accurate throttle response which is quite important with this aircraft. I've got the throttles configured in FSUIPC and in the majestic dash config. Should the…

My computer has started to do a weird thing. I discovered it through trial and error. When my computer boots up, it is somehow detecting two mice. I can see this in the device manager. Sometimes, depending on luck, I can disable one (hopefully not the one I am using), and continue on. Where this comes into play, of course , is when I start FSX. It's pretty touch trying to fly when you can't get the cursor over the right knob or switch. I've ran several malware programs, Microsoft Security Essentials, and CCleaner. Any ideas on how to fix this little problem? It's getting pretty tiring to go through everything to get FSX up and running and find the cursor r…

I don't know if there is a place for FSUIPC here, so don't hate on me for the wrong section. On the Saitek X52, there is a slider on the throttle. FSUIPC 4.934 is registered in my FSX installation. I try assigning the slider to reverser (Axis Assignment>*Moves slider*>Send direct to FSUIPC Calibration>Reverser). It works, but when I slide the slider back, the throttle goes to maximum. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hello. I just received the Saitek radio panel and in my hurry to see if it worked I forgot all about SPAD. I had read that some people just plugged it in and it worked without using the disk or any other drivers other than what might have install when plugging in the USB. I tried this and it didn't work so I used the provided disk. The radio worked great with all of my planes except the Flight1 King Air and the Majestic Dash 8. This makes sense considering that the other planes radios/gps run off of the FSX ones. And if I remember correctly it wouldn't tune the A2A ADF, but worked fine for everything else. I realize that I may not be able to use it with the Majestic b…

Hello,I recently bought a new joystick, the saitek cyborg FLY 5 with dual throttles. After installation and calibration It works very well apart from one thing, the throttles when used on add ons such as LVLD 767, feelthere 737 or PMDG 737. I run FS2004. What happens is that when I start my take off roll, I move the throttles till about 50% N1 and then I press the TOGA button I configured also on the joystick. So far everything goes well, the engines increase power till the TOGA N1 settings and the throttle hold message on the PFD is displayed. Then, just after my rotation, for unknown reasons, the power suddendly decreases to about 60%, completely ruining my take off...Th…

I have recently bought a Saitek X52. The variety of controls is amazing. One of the control wheels, what I call the E control wheel, is set to Elevator Trim. It makes it easier to set trim for takeoff, but when I set the autopilot and altitude hold, the plane continues to pitch up. I check on the elevator trim and it is stuck at 5 degrees. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hello all. I have been eyeing the Saitek Multi Panel recently to help finish up my sim pit. I have advanced aircraft such as A2A 172, Aerosoft Twin Otter, Flight1 King Air, RealAir Duke V2, Majestic Dash 8 and will get some PMDG products in the future. My question is, how well does the autopilot features of this panel work with these type of aircraft? I realize PMDG and other larger aircraft will have differences seeing as how the panel autopilot is designed around a very simple general aviation aircraft. If I were to be flying the King Air or Dash could I set an altitude, vertical speed and heading and it would all work correctly? Is this just a waste of money if fly…

I am considering getting one but the reviews I read keep saying the dials are inaccurate i.e. you turn it one click and it jumps two settings which makes it really frustrating to use. These have been quite old reviews and so i was wondering if Saitek have sorted this out so newer panels work better. Does anyone have any insight? Cheers Rich

Hi Guys I have a Saitek X52 which seems really sensitive. Hand flying is very difficult because even the slightest movement sends the aircraft all over the place! Is there any settings I can change that will make the control feel a bit 'heavier' ? Thanks!

I just added a Razer Tartarus to my system, and although I am happy with the device itself, I now have some USB problems. Alongside the Tartarus, I have a Saitek X52 plugged in. At some stage during most flights, both devices now freeze up - I can't change between keymaps on the keypad, or change modes on the X52 - and neither has any effect on the sim. If I unplug the X52 from the USB port and then plug it back in, thing are OK again, with both devices, which suggests that it is a USB problem rather than one of them malfunctioning (or why would both stop working simultaneously?). I didn't have this problem with my Nostromo N52, at least only rarely. Any i…

Took me a while (about 3 days) to get all these sorted out for the CS 777 and working with all my GoFlight gear. Here is a single ZIP file containing: BespokeEvents.xml BespokeVariables.xml (primarily for controlling LED states) CS_B777-200ER_GE.xml CS_B777-200ER_GE_GFEFIS.xml (can import direct into GIT if you just want EFIS functionality) CS_B777-200ER_GE_GFMCPPRO.xml (can import direct into GIT if you just want MCP-Pro autopilot functionality) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw0Q-fAfEZwyRnFYYXRWZzNpZkE/view?usp=sharing I didn't do every single button, knob, switch, dial in the CS 777 ... as many as I could to fill up my collection of GF gear. For…
