Hi Everyone I've been very pleased with my Saitek ProFlight yoke and quadrant which I've been using for 4years to fly in FSX. A couple of weeks ago I bought a new computer which has Windows7 Home Edition. I installed FSX Gold and Acceleration together with various add- on aircraft and scenery,as well as the Saitek products. Since I got the new computer, very often when the computer power button is pressed, the lights and fans start up but the screen is blank. I then press and hold the power button until the computer shuts down. Repeating the start up process again results in Windows Starting showing on the screen, and I can open FSX and fly with Saitek working ok. I thou…

Hi everyone, I just bought a new Saitek Pro Flight Yoke with quadrant and rudder pedals. I have been using my Saitek X52 pro sytem up until now but wanted something a bit better for FSX airliners. I use my X52 for combat flying. My issue is that when I went to load the drivers etc for the yoke onto my computer it detected another saitek product (The X52) and said it had to uninstall that product to install the flight yoke. I still want to keep the X52 for combat but want to also have the flight yoke for Fsx.. I have heard of people being able to configure both an Saitek X52 and a Saitek pro flight yoke together so that they dont have conflicting saitek software/drivers et…

The price difference is substantial. £104 for the Cessna Rudder v £170 for the combat version in the UK. The Combat Rudder is hard to find due to low stock availability . So is there really that much difference afterall, other thanthe combat model looking somewhat cooler and having metal parts ? The inside is more than likely the same? In terms of function, do they differ? My current cessna left toe brake has stopped working so need to get another set. Interested in a comparitive view between the two.

http://steelseries.com/products/controllers/steelseries-sentry-gaming-eye-tracker It only works for certain games ATM. It's not the same as TrackIR, as the Sentry IR tracks where your eyes are focused. It could be useful for adjusting knobs and pressing switches without a joystick.

Hi All, I have a new build in progress with two SSD; one for Windows 8.1 and one for FSX, as recommended. On which SSD should I install the Saitek X-55? Hope this question is in the right place, and if it's already been answered, greatly appreciate someone pointing me to it. Thanks!

I've had a CH Yoke since Abraham Lincoln was president...seems like that. Anyway, I have been thinking about getting something more. More what...heavy?...accurate? I've been looking at the GoFlight and they're having a Black Friday 30% off sale. It's mostly for GA flying...I don't fly the NGX unless there are two full moons in the same month, but GA planes have heavier feel than the CH. So, what do you guys think? Was it worth shelling out that much cash or was there a better solution? Thanks for the advice, Gregg

Above approx' three yrs old. Over a period I hove lost yoke button (default) functions viz:: Yoke button -brakes!(also keyboard "period" brake function). (combined period/ctrl keyboard function is OK as is pedal brake but useful only for taxi!)) Elevator trim wheel. Prop speed and fuel mixture levers are inoperative.Yoke throttle fails at idle and maximum position.Have tried calibration and alternative button functions but no luck. As an elderly "pilot" I have not utilised FSUIPC FACILITIES. I have managed to continue( flying, sort of) but have just installed A2A Cessna 182 and of course the pleasure of enhanced realism is just tot there for me. I wonder; is thi…

I was hoping that a fellow avsim member could clarify these 2 questions for me. Oh I am building a Overhead for 737NG I have several 737-800 Overhead panel diagrams and the toggle switch types are not the same so I am a little confused. Which overhead switches on the overhead of a 737NG are MON-OFF-MON toggle Switches? Which overhead switches on the overhead of a 737NG are ON-OFF-ON toggle Switches? Any and all help is needed. Thanks again.

Hello I bought the VRi MS Panel (see the link below) and i noticed 1 thing: The slider has non linear curve. Is it normal? Before and after calibration, the curve feels exponential. When the slider is at 50%, value is not 127, but 12 or 15. When the slider is 80%, the value is around 127. Even after calibration, result is the same. Those are manufacturing issues, or by design? thanks http://www.vrinsightshop.com/shop/step1.php?number=8&b_code=B20111116043722

I am wondering about the desktop aviators switch panel located here: http://www.desktopaviator.com/Products/Panel/Model_1010/index.htm And i want the 1015 one because it has beacon switch now. I am a new pilot on FSX flying a2a C172R on orbx pnw region, i have really been enjoying it so much that i wanted to explant my hardware "selection" So i got a saitek cessna yoke and saitek pro flight rudder pedals, and i just didn't like the looks of saiteks switch panel looks too unrealistic, i know it works and such but i was looking for the metal toggle switches and such, i found much more because the one above has a key ignition switch and i don't like using the mouse …

Wow $499 for an all metal yoke!! Looks great and has tons of buttons mounted on the yokes base. If I didn't have a pro yoke from goflight I'd pick this up in a heart beat.Hell I may sell my goflight yoke and buy one of these. http://www.fspilotshop.com/vrinsight-flight-master-yoke-p-5160.html

Will the X-52 Joystick work without the Throttle plugged into it? and will the Saitek Prof Flight Throttle Quadrant work alongside the Joystick? I know I will need to plug the Throttles into a USB drive and not the joystick base, but I'm just wondering if there would be any conflicts?

Hey all- Quick question. I recently finished my P3D v2.5 + Hotfix upgrade. Everything works as I would expect (most of the time). I am having an issue with the SPAD controlled devices lagging severely behind the actual inpul or not responding at all. I have AffinityMask=15 in my config. I have found if I kill the process "PanelsIO" and SPAD and then restart SPAD (0.5.1) that everything will return to normal. I am trying to track down why I get this initial hang from PanelsIO to begin with. Any thoughts on what I can try to get the startup process to be a little more smooth? Benjamin

Hello all, I'm getting close to having the equipment side of my home cockpit done. Once I have all of the hardware, I'll begin the fun part of the actual construction and mounting. However, I need 3 more gauges for the cockpit, the end goal being to have: Attitude Indicator Airspeed Indicator Altimeter Heading Indicator RPM / Engine Performance (EGT/CHT/FF, etc.) VSI/Turn Indicator But what I keep getting stuck on are the gauges. I have 3 Saitek FIPs, and while they are nice, they're pricey and have their limitations. I've looked at the Simkit servo gauges and while I think they're awesome, they're out of my budget ($400 just for the altimeter...). Al…

Good Day All, Trust you are all well. I beg and plead of you to help me in the right direction. I am in the process of buying an Arduino Board to begin the process of building yoke, rudder, throttles, autopilot and radio stack for FSX. The problem is, Arduino has so variations that I don't know which is going to serve me better. Please shed some light on the subject if and where possible. I apologize if this post is in the incorrect forum. Take care and have a smashing weekend.

Hello, I've just started setting up my X-55 but I cannot make the stick working properly, while the throttle is perfect. This is my problem: Button 15 seems to be always pressed, but in fact there are no button pressed and I even don't know which button is! As a consequence, no buttons in the stick work, while axis are functioning. Does anybody has some advice for this? I made everything according to what the manual says: download and install the latest drivers, plug in both USBs and then install Saitek Software, but still no luck ... Thanks

Im having an issue with my sound device for my headset recently. Every time I boot up and start ASN, then FSX, I do preflight and tune to 122.0 to get the weather AMD realize there's no sound. To resolve I have to exit, check my sound devices and play the test tone. When I hear nothing I have to unplug and plug back in my headset, re-enable and all is good. This only started doing this recently and the only changes to my system was the UAI.DLL menu crash fix, updated. NET framework, and updated Microsoft Visuals to try and fix a CTD issue. What could be causing this I'm getting tired of having to sometimes restart the sim and plug and un plug stuff when I never …

I faced a simular problem with the Majestic Dash8 q400. I am using FSUIPC FSiPanel Saitek Pro Yoke with pedals and throttle quadrant. With the FSiPanel you can do a test and it reported that my SLEW axis were having an issue, If I loaded up the plane with FSiPanel, the plane would just go spinning. I solved the issue by re-calibrating all my attached devices ( Yoke, Pedals and Throttle quadrant). Hope this info helps solving the issue.

This problem only started today - a system restore back to when all was working fine didn't fix it.... Before today I always had the square, green Saitek icon in the system tray at startup, but now it doesn't appear. So with no profile loaded, the X52 does nothing. It is all lit up and ready to go, but unplugging it and plugging it back in (to any USB port) doesn't help. The only thing that fixes this - but only until I reboot - is to reinstall the X52 drivers (not the SST software) - although the installation informs me the files are already there and asks me if I want to overwrite them - then the icon comes back and I can go ahead with my flying. But how do I ge…

Okay, wondering if you lot could help me here, seein' as how I'm at the end of the rope. I've tried just about every suggestion there is, short of going back to Windows 7, which is not an option for me. Heres the long and the short of it. When I start up FSX my joystick runs fine, as soon as I try to load into anything of detail I.E. the A3xx Series by Aerosoft, or the PMDG 737 after about around 2 minutes my joystick stops connecting to FSX...Mind you, it's still lit up and functioning via the control panel that Saitek provides, but it just won't work in FSX. I never had this issue when I used my xbox controller for flight. Weird thing is, when I go into my FSUIPC.i…

Hello all. Finished my sim pit, but having a funny problem. Not setting up SPAD at all the flaps switch would move flaps on A2A 172 between 10 and 20 degrees only, not 0 or 30. When setting it for key presses it works perfectly, but only for one flight. Any reset or change or turning off computer or changing weather or anything and it doesn't not work. I have "unset" other things that could effect it, like multiple buttons controlling the same action and have tried to make sure FSUIPC and FSX were not clashing. Also checked to make sure I was on the right SPAD profile and that it was still set up the same. What is going on? Do I need to uninstall and then reinstall someth…
