Finally got around to changing out the springs in my CH Yoke for rubber bands and what a difference! I've watched the YouTube video on how to do this, but I guess today I just felt motivated to do it. So for anyone else that hasn't done this, give it a try (it's reversible if you don't like it), well worth it: How to Videos:

  2. I know very little about electronics, some. I want to build two sets. First a single push/pull unit for single engine planes, it would have three, one for throttle, prop and mix A while back I had a saitek unit but no more. I opened up the wheel once and saw like a light emitting little device with a small wheel inside of it with little "windows" cut in the wheel and as you turned the wheel it turned the little wheel breaking the light path into "pulses" Anyone know where I can get one of those? I think something like that would work well also, thinking of going slide pot. 100K ohms can anyone help me out and get me on the right path. th…

Hi, My Saitek Pro has given up after 5 years or so of great service. I have a new yoke on order, but am trying to use my Saitek Rudder Pedals and a Saitek USB Throttle Quadrant together with a USB sidestick controller (Thrustmaster T1600M) which I have. The throttle quadrant works fine, but I am having problems with the rudder pedals. If I go to FSX and <ENABLE Controllers>, the green power light illuminates on the pedals, and the pedals return correct movements and calibration. However, after 'unticking' the <ENABLE Controllers> box, when I go to FSUIPC and attempt to assign the axis - there is (apparently) no signal and thus no functionability. …

  4. So I have an opportunity to possibly buy a set of used precision flight controls yoke and rudder pedals. I believe he is selling the cirrus yoke (mooney version) and the cirrus pedals (gen aviation version). Seller says he only used them a couple times and then tossed them in the closet. Problem is they are 7 years old, so I need to know if I would have any problems using these with prepar3d (plan on getting V3 sometime soon). Anyone on the board using older (more than 5 years) PFC peripherals with P3D? Also, they don't have hall sensors... is that big deal? I would have to drive a couple hours to make the purchase so I don't want to drive out there for nothing. Thanks …

Where can I buy like a functional physical CDI or at least an HSI for fsx/p3d? Preferably cheaper than Saiteks offering... I would be using it in conjunction with my ipad 6 packkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.

Hi all, Just bought saitek pro pedals. Before I install the drivers I seem to remember reading they work better with the default fsx drivers. Is that correct? TIA

I have used my Saitek pedals for almost two years now and the last year I have noticed that I needed to adjust the tension dial all the way to the right and still the pedals don't feels like when they were new. Now they feel alot more loose even when the tension dial is all the way to the right. Is the pedals just worn out or should I try to use the warranty?

Hello, Since W10, I have to disconnect and reconnect my yoke and pedals after each "starting" of Windows10. Windows say that my yoke and pedal work fine but in fact, it doesn't. After the dis/reconnecting of both USB, all working fine till the next restart of W10! Any advise will be welcome....

Hi, I was wondering if anyone here uses one of those MMO mice with multiple programmable buttons like the Logitech G600 (20 buttons) or one of Razer's offering?. I would also like to know if they work well with the registered version of FSUIPC? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  11. Hi , everyone . I have a 3 years old Saitek Pro flight yoke . Currently some of the buttons on the yoke (including the timer and Its display) don't work and I realized that some of the wires comming out from the end of the shaft are cut . But some of them remained OK and probably that's why I have the Axis still working . The main issue is that as you can see in the image bellow, those wires are being cut from the base which makes It hard to work on them . Anyone has any ideas about this ? And BTW the black circular shape plastic in the image which is at the end of the shaft (#1) is very hard to remove I don't know if oppening It is the only way to get…

Hi I am not sure if this is an FSUIPC, Saitek or P3D problem, and have also posted on the FSUIPC forum. Have recently purchased FSUIPC and am making good progress recalibrating. Am running P3Dv2.5 and have Saitek Yoke/Quadrant/Pedals. Have made buttons and axes assignments in P3D Controls and have calibrated in FSUIPC. However in the Quadrant Y and Z Axes (assigned to Engine 1 Mixture and Engine 2 Mixture) when I pull the levers all the way back to CUTOUT, the Y Axis triggers LANDING GEAR UP/DOWN and the Z Axis triggers VIEW CHANGE. Since I have done no assignments in FSUIPC, I have checked the P3D Controls assignments for an accidental setting of these two axes …

Hi community, Hoping that somebody can help me with an issue with my new X52 in FSX. At first glance, it would appear that the joystick is not calibrated correctly, but I have been through the calibration process many times, and in Windows 7 64-bit, everything with the controller appears to be fine. There is no spiking or anything like that. The problem is, within the sim, ANY aircraft will gradually roll to the right. The angle of bank is so small that one has to zoom in to the AH to actually see the problem. It's getting rather annoying now. Last night after a takeoff my aircraft had drifted nearly thirty degrees to the right. I have modified all of the diff…

  14. Started by warbirds,

Just got some Saitek stuff from a friend and want to know how you guys are setting it all up. I have the yoke, two switch/radio boxes, two throttle sections and some other brand pedals. The problem is if I plug them all into the back of the yoke and use the one yoke usb cable to pc I get a power warning and some of the units will not function. I found I have to divide the usb cables into several inputs on the pc to get enough power. Question is there a real powered extension usb port that really works? I have a so called power usb port for five inputs but it still gets the power warning so I think it is not really powered. Also what is a good rack to mount all this to…

  15. Has anyone been experiencing the siatek pro flight yoke or any yoke roll right without input? I'm a real world pilot and am aware of the flight physics and forces of an airplane. Does not matter wind speed or direction, power settings, null and sensitivity settings, nothing helps. I've tried removing and reinstalling the drivers. Could it be the position sensors? Can they be replaced or upgraded? I have plans to build a magnetic actuating yoke that will not cost $1200 and have around 10 pounds of resistance and my goal is to price it around $200 U.S. But need help writing the software. I say this because my test subject is going to be the siatek pro yoke and I wa…

  16. I have plans to build a magnetic actuating yoke that will not cost $1200 and have up to around 10 pounds of resistance and my goal is to price it around $200 U.S. But need help writing the software. I'm sick of the yoke makers building yokes, promising consumers prices and then selling them at nearly untouchable prices. Those of us who's wives would kill us if we spent anymore money on our passion/hobby or $1200 for a single item for our hobby kinda guys. Uhhh... it makes irritated just thinking about the prices of these yokes that do not cost even a eighth of the price to manufacture. I'm a real world pilot and I still fly my sim because it keeps me proficient and I…

  17. Good day. I know this question may have been raised previously but I've searched the forums and didn't find a satisfactory answer. All replies seem to lead to FSUIPC settings which I do not use. What is the best set-up for the Saitek Yoke in terms of Null settings and Sensitivity? I mainly fly the PMDG 737NGX and 777 products and was hoping to set my yoke closer to the feel of the real thing. I have seen in some forums the Null zone is set to "zero" while Sensitivity is set to Max. Is this correct? I currently have a small Null zone set. Any feedback will be welcome. Regards.

  19. Hi all, I recently purchased a Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant. It worked initially but after reinstalling FSX Steam, it only seems to detect the left-hand black lever (for the throttle). The other two levers are not detected while flying. In addition, the Throttle is not listed as a Controller Type in FSX Control settings, though my other Saitek products are. When I launch the Saitek programming software, it does detect all three levers. I would appreciate any assistance or thoughts you could offer. As always, thank you very much for your help!

  20. Started by nicksort,

I would like to purchase a MCP for P3Dv2 and I want to be able to use it with NGX and other Aircrafts. Also can the be used on 777 767 and maybe 747? There are so many different mfg's that I have found and I am not sure what to purchase. The reason I would like to get one is my hand to mouse coordination is starting to get a little shaky that I am having a difficult time setting parameters with a mouse that I need. As far as flight simming I am a weekend pilot so this is not for everyday use. There are many units out there but I an not sure which is right for me, any suggestions will be appreciated. CPFlight PRO, CPFlight EL, OpenCockpit NGv3, O…

  21. Hi guys, The title says it all actually. Is it really possible?! Just to expand the issue a little bit: I always use FSUIPC for axis control and button assignments instead of native FSX controller support. And in order to allow FSUIPC take "full control" of my joystick, I do uncheck "Enable Controller(s)" tickbox in FSX menu before loading the flight, as also advised in FSUIPC User Guide. However, from what I read on more than a dozen of FS-related forum pages and actually experienced on my own system (JOYSTICKS=0 under [CONTROLS] section of the FSX.CFG helps only if the joystick remains plugged in), unplugging the joystick from a USB slot (which I usually do afte…

  22. Started by Derpinson,

I've searched this forum for a solution but to no avail. I love flying with my xbox controller, and I assigned the look (snap) to the D-Pad, X for arm spoilers, L shoulder to increase flaps, and R shoulder to decrease flaps, and back key for gear. I am using a wireless xbox controller, and it's all great until I'm doing long haul in IVAO, and the controller turns off, and when turning back on, FSX resets the controls all to default. This is incredibly annoying, and I can't take the time to re-assign the controls while flying in IVAO with ATC. I really need a solution to keep FSX from resetting the controls. Thank you.

  23. Hi all, I have a small collection of Saitek hardware - backlit info panel, autopilot panel, switch panel and radio panel. The gear is great and I've built it into a wood dashboard that looks fantastic. I'm having issues using the switches on the auto pilot and switch panel.. I know these are generic panels and not specific to any real aircraft but is there a way to get the working nicely across the range of aircraft I fly - 737ngx, a2a Comanche, pa28 and carenado citation I've been told of a program called LINDA.. is this the answer to my problems or is there an alternative / better / other program / programs to use? I'm using SPAD for driver, not Saitek

My CH pedals seem to be on the way out after about 12 years use - I can't get the red differential brakes indicator to go off and have tried all the fixes. Have now disabled the toe brakes and am using a joystick button for brakes as an interim arrangement. What are the best options for a set of pedals these days? Price not a consideration within reason. Thanks. Bruceb

  25. http://imperialnews.network/2015/08/saitek-hotas-peripherals-analysis/ Not available yet, but there are apparently two models. One is an entry level version and the other is based on the old Saitek Proflight X-65F system. Unfortunately, they appear to be designed to work with Star Citizen, a space sim game for the PC and Linux: http://www.saitek.com/uk/blog/index.php/star-citizen-hardware-announced-at-gamescom But maybe they will have Win 10 drivers. And maybe someone will figure out how to make them work with P3d, FSX and XP10.
