Hi, I hope someone may be able to help. My X55 joystick has been getting very noisy recently and quite stiff to operate. Has anyone any tips on the best way of lubricating the mechanics and what to use? I haven't tried opening it up yet in the hope that I can get some advice from someone here who may know the the best way of going about it. Baz

Hi, I noticed early on Sunday morning Windows 10 put an update on my PC. Now my Saitek X-52 doesn't seem to be recognised by the OS. I've downloaded new drivers & software from the Saitek site but they both fail to load properly because they can't "see" the controllers although it is definitely plugged in. They do flash with the blue lights as the PC starts up, then the lights go out. Help I'm grounded without this. Thanks Peter

I have had a stable W10 64 /P3D installation for the past three months. I also have a PFC throttle unit. Two weeks ago, 2 of the 6 levers on the unit lost their assigned axes in FSUIPC. (the second throttle and first mixture axis). I was also no longer able to calibrate these two axes in the Windows 10 game controller calibration utility. Thinking that the issue was a hardware issue, I sent the unit away to be checked but there were no physical issues. No soldering or rewiring was needed. This weekend, the same happened to my Saitek rudder unit. I lost the right hand brake assignment in FSUIPC and sure enough I couldn't calibrate the right hand brake …

I got the wonderful gauges from FSXTimes.. so I could have the throttle gauges for my Saitek Instrument panels. I've been using Saitek Instrument Panels on my old machine without any issues... I created some gauges like the Duke D60 Manifold pressure gauge, RP Gauges for the Real Air D60. I used the screenshot of the Real Air panels and made it myself and been using all these years without an issues. But I felt it was easier just purchasing these gauges from FSXTimes instead of spending so much time to do it myself.. I particularly liked the Duke Turbo Engine gauges and got them yesterday. https://fsxtimes.wordpress.com/2016/06/08/362-duke-turbine-engine-gau…

Is there a way to make it so you can bind a button that fully kicks the rudder on touch and on release it puts it back? Thanks Tyler C

After a number of years my trusty Saitek Rudder Pedals broke down and I got an inexpensive used CH Pro Rudder Pedals. I use FSIUPC to calibrate my controllers. Yet this program does not recognize these CH pedals axis and therefore FSIUPC cannot process them, For this reason I have to have ticked the controllers enabled box in FSX and this is a mess. I would be grateful if anyone with these pedals could help on the correct procedure to use them. Does anyone uses FSIUPC to process these pedals? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Well, not counting TrackIR 5, which was really one of the best peripherals I ever acquired for flight simulation... Yesterady I receive from ELITE Switzerland two hardware modules I purchased with the reduced prices from their Summer Campaign. Of course my dream would have been the ELITE Yoke and Rudder pedals ( properly force-feedbacked... for an ultimate experience in controlloing both the aircraft modules in ELITE but also PSX and even X-plane add-on aircraft ) but that would be way too much for my budget so, I ordered only the MEL throttle quadrant and the GNS 530 hardware unit. The MEL quadrant is a sturdy unit. Again I would prefer to opt for their B200 …

I have a Microsoft Force Feedback 2 joystick which was working fine until recently. I recently upgraded to Windows 10. When the computer is on WITHOUT FSX running, the force feed back works. As soon as I boot up FSX, it stops. The controller works OK, but I can't get any force feedback. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting and have also reset the forces in the controller tab of the setting menu multiple times. I can't get it to work. I've seen driver downloads, available online, but I don't know if these are legitimate or just scammers. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

Hi I'm considering taking the plunge into a vr headset ,not sure which make yet. I see plenty of post out there about screen res within the vr headsets not being great,my question is what is the res of these headsets? Due to an extreme lack of space I am currently running an old monitor that has a resolution of 1920x 1080,is this the same as these vr headsets? if it hopefully is, then as i've never experienced p3d at 4k res it would not be the downer that some are finding for me Graphic card wise its not an issue as I have a 980ti. Just looking for a bit of advice before potentially pulling the pin thanks

Grounded my demise...started mid air, 15,000 AGL over The Sheep Mountain Wilderness, Destination Burbank, CA. , when my joystick's connecting/support post suffered catastrophic failure by breaking in half. ...control ...in my hand...wires exposed...connected....to nothing... ...screaming, in certain and dark rage, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..." ...the horror, knowing....I will be... ...in mere seconds, hopelessly out of control...helpless. It was to be an eight minute-thirty-two second scream...cursing God...... ..my pre-flight checklist? Could I have... ...after only three minutes the insane ...repeating, soon-to-be-dead-animalistic curses.…

Sorry for the longish post, and it's your own fault if you keep on reading, but... I have been using the Saitek throttles with my MacBookPro/Bootcamp combination. Recently, for no apparent reason, the throttle input (I use the standard T/P/M setup) started jumping all over the place. Reading in the forum, I took the unit apart, cleaned and lubricated the best I could, and it sort of worked but then stopped entirely. So, deciding it was a lost cause, I reprogrammed the remaining two controls so at least I'd have a throttle. All of a sudden a couple days ago, the throttle control started working just fine, thank you. Which was good because the other two controls st…

I downloaded the latest and greatest drivers from Saitek for my Saitek Instrument panels.. Win 7 64bit Pro_Flight_Instrument_Panel_7_0_47_1_x64_Software.exe Pro_Flight_Instrument_Panel_7_0_47_1_x64Drivers.exe Pro_Flight_FSX_Plugin_7_0_50_1_x64_Software.exe The Instrument panels starts up fine and runs fine...for a bit...and then the lights go out..meaning, it shuts off...one by one I unplug the USB chord and put it back in it wakes up. I had this thing running fine in my previous PC without any issues (Ofcourse I had all old FSX drivers and what not where I simply moved from FSX to P3D V2.x to hen V3.x without reinstalling the Saitek s/w) Any idea wh…

Looking for a throttle quadrant which is better quality than Saitek and not going to cost a thousand bucks. Any suggestions? The Pro Flight seems to have a lot of mixed reviews. With people complaining about quality ans smoothness of levers. Virtual-Fly has a unit coming out in August which looks sturdy. But it looks more geared to props. From the pre-release pics it seems to have no way to switch out the handles to make it more "jet"friendly.

I have just purchased a Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas X, but I have not got a clue how I am supposed to change the button assignments. They are pre-programmed, and trying to change them in P3D controller settings does not work. In addition, my rudder is hard over to the right, and I do not know how to correct it. Can someone help?

Hello. I'm going to buy the Cessna yoke soon from Saitek as an upgrade from my Logitech joystick. There is very limited space on top of my desk and I have a fairly low chair. The perfect place for me to mount the yoke is underneath as it will be at a realistic height and allow me to use my keyboard and mouse still. Is it possible to do? I am willing to do a little bit of DIY if necessary. Any suggestions on how it can be done?

I'm impressed with the build quality for this price range (about $700 US). Plus 1. Metal including the handles, very solid feel 2. Good spacing between engine throttle, prop angle, and fuel mixture ... large hands will enjoy the spacing 3. Design of arm support bracket makes the motion less flimsy (no side to side motion) 4. Arm motion is extremely smooth and no potentiometer jitter when at rest 5. Multiple mounting options Cons 1. VF drivers (more like a control panel since it doesn't install as a driver) didn't work for me under Windows 10 64bit 2. Tension system doesn't really impact the prop angle arms as much as it does for throttle and mixture …

I currently have a used pro flight yoke. Which seems to work great other than only working when plugged into the PC direct and not through a powered USB hub. I have the option to get a new Cessna yoke. Is it worth making the switch? I heard the Cessna is a better yoke and has the plastic gears inside. I intend to set it up with SPAD drivers.
