Good evening all I am just wondering, when I go into my programmes, or on to task manager, I have a number of NVIDIA processes running. -NVIDIA 3D Vision Controller Driver 352.65 -NVIDIA 3D Vision Driver 359.06 -NVIDIA GeForce Experience 2.7.4.10 -NVIDIA Graphics Driver 359.06 -NVIDIA HD Audio Driver 1.3.34.4 -NVIDIA PhysX System Software 9.15.0428 My question is, should I get rid of any of these (Obviously not the Driver itself) for use with P3D? Running i7 6700k 980Ti Cheers

Is this card a very good top performer with FSX? I currently have a EVGA Nvidia 750ticard and get 18-23 fps with Ifly 747 and T2G KSEA. My CPU is an AMD 4.2ghz Vishera and I have 8g of ram. Will I see a performance increase. And yes I don't want this to be an AMD vs Intel battle. I would like to invest in to ORBX. Thanks Randy

I am just purchased and installed a new Dell monitor 1920 x 1080 Pixel Resolution 24" LCD Display Mdl S4241SH. I changed the resolution in FSX, but when changing from panel to outside views I am getting, for the lack of better term, wash out and no objects per se on the screen. Any attempt to return to the panel frame does not work. I have tried changing my video display settings but the problem persisits. Any suggestions? Thanks

I always keep up with the latest Nvidia video driver. However, I'm not sure that I should, because I do get one "crash to taskbar" every single time I fly. It could be early in the flight, or late in the flight, but I guarantee I'll get at least one during an FSX session. I have to "rapidly click the FSX icon" in the task bar, and the flight will come up PAUSED, and I just have to hit P to get it going again. I feel this crash is related to the video driver...what else could it be? I've re-installed FSX and all addons about 5 weeks ago, and there should be no corruptions. Perhaps an older driver would be best with FSX. I never see Nvidia mentioning FSX when the…

I found this guide quite useful, learned a few things I didn't know, plus also includes setting up the NVIDIA control panel. http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1869675 For general gaming - not Flight Sim specific - anything Flight Simmers might disagree with here? Eugene

Hi Guys, Can anyone help out a confused old flight sim guy? I'm currently running a "Gigabyte GeForce GTX 760 OC 1150MHZ 2GB" I just bought two BenQ 27" monitors to run along side my 42" Sharp Aquos for side views in the doors of my fully enclosed Cessna flight simulator. I hooked up everything and set everything to run the three monitors and everything ran pretty good, but felt it was time to upgrade my video card. I just ordered a new Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti G1 1241 MHZ 6GB thinking that the extra 4GB might help run things a little smoother, now I know that FSX is CPU dependant but will the bigger faster card help to run the two extra monitors better…

Hi, I just got two of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824238018 I was using two LG 23" monitors until one died. Before, 1 was using DVI and the other was using HDMI. My card, MSI GTX980 Gaming 4G has 3 display port, 1 DVI and one HDMI. Neither of my monitors will recognize the display port signal, but they will recognize HDMI. When plugged in, neither are recognized by Windows using display port. When they are plugged in using HDMI, they are recognized at their native resolution. Can anyone please help me figure this out? Thanks

Is there an easy way to make a second monitor display a flight planning program (for example) while FSX is running on the primary monitor in full screen mode? When I try this the second monitor always goes black. I am using a GTX780 Ti Superclocked graphics card and Windows 10 Pro x64 if that matters. Also, assuming it can be done, will doing this have a noticeable impact on frame rates in the sim?

A couple of days ago (might have been last week) I installed the latest Nvidia drivers for my 980 Ti with version nr 359.00 and I later noticed how my normal 30-50 FPS in P3Dv2.5 had dropped to about 15 FPS. Since the only thing changed I could think of was the new Nvidia drivers I decided to go back to version 358.91 and sure enough...after doing that my FPS was back to normal. Anyone else experienced this? Would be nice to have a confirmation that it indeed was the new version of the drivers that caused the bad FPS.

I have been using a 42" screen for flight sim for the past couple years. Recently I finally got a chance to tour the Dreamlifter, the 747 LCF at work and my whole thoughts on monitor setup and possibility of using the Occulus Rift for commercial jets have totally changed after going into the flight deck. The first observation in the cockpit is just how large the screens were for the Primary Flight Display, Navigation Display and EICAS. I have been inside the 787's cockpit many times and know they have really large displays, but after simming for a few years and getting used to how small the PFD, ND and EICAS appear on the monitor in FSX and now P3D, I was really surp…

As the title says anyone running a curved samsung 55 or above!? I'm wanting a 65 curved screen but i've heard don't bother as it doesn't look great. So before i shell out 2k anyone here running a curved monitor at 55 or above thinks its great? Also how many monitors could my GTX780 handle. Lets say i add this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00US028LG?psc=1#productDescription_secondary_view_div_1448795684236 Can i add another small standard LCD monitor ? Or what about ditching the 4k http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00VECXHHG/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1448796250&sr=8-1π=SY200_QL40&keywords=samsung+curved+65+inch+tv&dpPl=1&dpID=51DTO1ls6wL&ref…

I have been using Prepar3d v2.4 quite happily for some time now on a fairly modest system, i5 2500K cpu, 8gb ram and an nvidia 6600ti GTX graphic card on a 27" monitor. This compares well with other systems I have seen at shows and the flight sim. groups I attend. I have recently become aware of 4K monitors but got a mixed reaction after looking at various forums as to how worthwhile they are. I decided, however, to bite the bullet and bought a Samsung 28" 4K monitor along with an nvidia 970GTX graphic card. I was expecting a modest, but perhaps not a dramatic, improvement, but what I got was far more than I imagined. The actual frame rate is reduced but the flight model …

I have an EVGA GTX 680 FTW+ (4GB) . Windows 7 64bit - 16GB RAM. i7-3770k OC to 4.5GHz. I want to get the most out of Prepar3D and have been doing a little bit of research. Should I upgrade my card to a Titan X SC 6GB? Its about $1100 I think. What kind of upgrade can I do on my computer that will yield me the most noticeable difference in performance when using P3D? Will upgrading my PC's memory from 16GB to 32GB do? Upgrading my HDD to SDD? or upgrading my video card? My system is about 2-3 years old now. It still handles pretty well. Not sure if I should until next year to see if a newer graphic card comes out. I think I have about another 1-2 years before …

I run FSX SE and up to a couple of days ago, I was getting very smooth performance with addons such as the PMDG 777 with addon scenery. All of a sudden, I got an out of memory message while using the 777 with flytampa Toronto. A few hours after taking off from Boston on another occasion, white dots appeared all over my screen. I was forced to turn off my PC and lose my flight. Same thing happened again today. I downloaded MSI afterburner and turned fan speed to max. There is still lag while flying especially on the ground. Here are my specs: -I7 4790K (4ghz and 4.4 turbo) -Zotac GTX750Ti 2GB -8GB RAM -1TB HDD

Hi, Right now have have two of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824238018. One of them died a couple days ago, and I really need two matching monitors when I work from home (database work, GIS, spreadsheets...). My card has 3 display port, 1 hdmi and one DVI. The new monitor needs display port. I fly FSX and I have one MSI GTX980 Gaming 4G. I prefer to fly with one monitor and it sit about 24" from the screen. Since I need to buy two, price is a big concern. I'd like to pick up two for about $500 total so I think 2 27" 2k monitors will be the best I can do. Back when I purchased mu current monitors, I read that 2ms or less resp…

I can't seem to find a site that will give comparisons of the same series of gpu As it's black Friday I'm going to buy a 980 ti but there are many different brands of the same gpu .I have more often than not bought EVGA classified cards, but I have also seen a couple of other cards that have higher boost cycles I quite like the hydro copper version EVGA have but does anyone have a site or can help me in deciding which card to get. I have a big tower system with plenty of fans, so heat is not really a big issue but having a water cooled card may help reduce heat from other areas and possibly aid in really OC the gpu can anybody with these cards offer suggestions or a sit…

Anyone have this setup? The GTX Titan Z is an SLI GPU right? Basically 2 GPU cards in 1. I currently have an NVIDIA GTX 680 (4GB) and wanted to upgrade to get the best out of p3d. I currently play at 2560x1600. I plan on getting a 4k display for p3d as well. Would I see a great benefit in getting the GTX Titan Z over my current videocard? My system has 16GB of Ram and I'm not sure if getting another 16GB would make p3d run better. Would like some advice on what to do so that I can get the most out of p3d. Does P3D v3 support SLI yet? I heard I won't see much benefit since P3D is still mostly CPU dependent.

I would like to buy a new monitor or TV for Prepar3D. Now it just so happens on my set up the best experience is to run frame rate unlimited on the simulator, so long as the display is the providing the limit via a 30Hz refresh rate. My BenQ monitor only support 60Hz so that's no good, and I have one old Samsung LED TV that can do 30Hz and another that cannot (it can do 30Hz interlaced, but in the simulator that is 60 fps). Most TV and monitor specifications will give you a headline rate of say 60Hz or 120Hz, whatever makes it look good on the sales page. The question then is, how can I be sure I'm getting a device that can support a "real" 30Hz (i.e. 30hz progress…

I am current playing on a 30" monitor at 2560x1600. My machine specs are as follows: Windows 7 64 Bit Ultimate 16GB RAM i7-3770k overclocked to 4.5GHz EVGA NVIDIA GTX 680 FTW+ (4GB RAM) I am getting decent frame rates that average around 25-30 and dips to 10 or below when flying through heavy clouds. I am thinking about purchasing a 4k TV, maybe 50 inch to use this as my replacement for gaming. I've never seen how games will look on this kind of setup and I'm curious to know if anyone here has this kind of setup and could tell me more about it. Will my system be able to handle it? I will be using it on my computer desk like a monitor, so it …

I have a 48inch HDTV 1080p and was going to use it as my main screen for gaming/flight simming etc. I have a GTX 680 card with 4GB. Can I hook up my TV to it via HDMI and then I also have a 30" Monitor (2650x1600) that uses a DVI connection. Can I hook these 2 up to my card and use my main screen (TV @ 1920x1080) for P3D and on my 2nd display which is my monitor (2560x1600) hooked up via DVI, and have them function as 2 independent desktops? I want to use the 2nd screen for flight planning apps, maps, utilities while I fly. Is this possible?

Greetings, I have two 10" touchscreen monitors but their screen quality is bad. Washed, faded and just don't look very good. I use them for the FS Flight Keeper ACARS and FSMap component. I was wondering if anyone has used good 7" LCD touchscreens that you could recommend. I appreciate any input. Thanks, -Matt
