Hi Guys, I got my two new monitors setup for my two 90' side window views. I'm now running three monitors, my questions is, is there a way to remove the thin white frame on the active monitor? or at least change the color to black? If anyone can point me in the right direction to remove this or hide it, I'd be forever grateful! Thanks in advance, Sam

Just acquired a new GTX980Ti to upgrade my GTX970 which is working just fine. With the Ti I can get as far as the windows desktop most of the time, but any significant graphics load causes the monitor to go black and report "no signal detected". It does this on every card port (DVI, DisplayPort and HDMI) and even the scenario screen with the spinning aircraft on FSX/P3D is enough to bring it down. Sometimes even the Windows 10 desktop does it in, Windows 7 seems to be OK. I've tried everything I can think of: - Updating drivers - Different versions of windows - Different cables and rail combinations from the PSU But nothing seems to fix it. I put the 970 ba…

I currently have 2 GTX 970's in SLI , on a i6700k @ 4.8. Works very good with my 4k screen. My question is for those that have upgraded from 970's to single 980ti or the Titan X. What are your experiences, did you get any significant performance boost ? Was it worth the upgrade cost ? How would you compare them in terms of FPS. I have an interested buyer for my cards, however it's still a significant upgrade for me in cost $ Cheers Steve

Just installed my new GTX 970. Did a few flights and noticed that video memory use did not exceed 1.5-1.6 GB. What - if anything - can I do to use up all 4GB on my GPU ? (or as much of it as possible)... Would there be a trade-off ? Thanks

Hi guys, a few days ago i bought a MSI GTX980 Ti 6G gaming card for my 4K Samsung television. I still run FSX together with P3d v3.1 . For P3d i use the Nvidia control panel but for fsx i use Nvidia inspector for dx10 . . Inside Nvidia Inspector there is also a standard profile for P3d , do i need to delete that profile in Nvidia inspector or do i need to leave it inside inspector and leave it at default ?. Hello, I'm going from a gtx 780 to a Evga 980ti card. I have a 1200w ps and the power lead coming from the ps has one 6 pin and one 8 pin connectors that powered the 780 card. My problem is that the 980 card has two 8 pin connects. How will I hook this up? My card came with 2 adapters and each just alike. The adapters on one end has an 8 pin connector and the other end has 2 each 6 pin connectors. Any help how to hook this up correctly will be appreciated....Thanks in advance. :smile:

Hi Guys I have been given permission (!!) to use an area in my spare bedroom to improve my current flight sim setup. It is nicely set up as an alcove at 6ft across and 6 ft deep. I don't have the money to build a full home cockpit but i would like a large screen setup. Therefore my question is this? 1) Do i buy 2 large screens if so what ones? 2) Or 3 screens and again if so what ones? 3) something else? Does anyone have any suggestions? Also i have a geoforce GTX 660 TI. i obviously will need to change if i upgrade to 3 screens but will this be ok for 2? any help greatly received Daz

Purchased a new computer with a Gigabyte GTX750ti 2048mb graphics card, and I have an old Dell E196WFPv monitor. The monitor has a VGA 15-pin socket, and a 24-pin DVI output, with a horizontal slit to the side of the holes on the DVI socket. The PC has a 15-pin VGA socket. When the VGA cable is used the monitor receives no input and goes into 'Power Save' mode. There is a new DVI socket with 24 pins physically attached to the new GTX750 unit. However rather than having a flat pin alongside the 24 holes, it has a crosshair ( horizontal and vertical slots) arrangement and 4 pins around the slots. Hi guys, I've decided to splash out and get Samsung's 34" curved ultrawide. I ntend to keep one 24" monitor for Plan-G. I was just wondering if people think a single GTX 980 would be enough to power both or should I add something like a GTX 950 to power the 24"? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks,

Is it still advisable to get a low VRAM video card for FSX to not exhaust VAS? I use DX 10 preview mode, and I'm planning to get a 4GB GTX 960 as my 460 SE broke. I've read the problem is only a DX 9 thing, but I want to make sure I won't face the same issue since the FSX DX 10 preview is only a preview. Also, does the VideoMemoryOverride option work, and will I need to use it? I found a thread from 2011 that came to inconclusive results regarding the utility of this switch. I've never had OOM issues with my current setup, and I will get a lower VRAM card if 4 GB will cause me OOM's in FSX (it's the main game I play).

I love the card, it has changed my FSX experience for the better. I am thinking of SLI and getting another 970. Question. Does the 2nd 970 have to be the same exact 970? I believe that the it is a 970 part#3975. Also will this increase my performance and make the investment? Thanks Randy

hey everyone i'm getting screen blackouts with my 980 i can still hear the sounds, however nothing i do will bring the screen back. i can ALT ENTER and its still black within the FSX screen.... i've tried other drivers and the latest with the same results anyone having the same issues? im pretty much ready to try out P3D at this point and Bin FSX let me know if anyone has any experience with this Thanks JHo

I was going to replace/upgrade the GTX 780 card that come with my system to a EVGA 980ti. However, just read the other day that in six months or so Nvidia is going to come out with their next gen video card that is suppose to revolutionize gaming/simulation, Has anybody read about this? Just wondering now if I should wait and save that money for next gen card? That one card is suppose to be better than two Titans in SLI, so they say. Don;t know if it would be worth the $$$$$$, You know it will probably cost what two Titans would or close.

Hi Guys, Ok so I got my new GTX 980 Ti card installed and working great with my 1080p 42" Sharp Aquos TV. I then went out and purchased two BENQ 27" 1920x1080 monitors same resolution as my Sharp TV. I hooked the Sharp TV to the DVI port in my GTX and the BENQ's into the two DVI ports. Everything fired up great, I went into the NVidia Control panel and selected "configure surround PhysX" and setup the surround configuration to 1x3 at 5760x1080. What scaling settings should I use? Aspect/Full screen/No scaling? Display or GPU? or not touch any of these settings? So I got everything placed where I want it, I then went into FSX and opened two new wind…

Hello. Often when I launch Prepar3d in full screen mode, 4k resolution, I get a black border along the bottom and right side that cuts off part of the picture. Hi all. I would like to make a left front view and a right front view for my triple monitor view setup ( 2/3 real size cockpit ). When using the VC I can pan around, but will keep the aircrafts gauiges and cockpit structure in site. Perhaps using 2 undocked views would do the trick as in 2D view the instruments / cockpikt structure can be turned off. WindowMaker uses FSX flt files so that is notr an option. Hi everyone. My Gigabyte GTX580 just died, so have been looking at this card: Asus STRIX GTX 970 DirectCU II Overclocked 4GB It has very good cooling according to reviews, but was wondering if it would be a good buy. The 980 does not fit my budget. Any advice is appreciated.

Will someone recommend a suitable driver for a Nvidia 580 GTX graphics card and W10? The driver that W10 installs is the 353.82 and it has many problems in FSX! Thanks

Hi, I'm considering to buy an WQHD monitor for P3D but I'm a bit worried about the performance penalty it may cause. I have a pretty beefy system (Skylake i7-6700K @ 4.6 + 6GB 980Ti) but coming from HD it implies an pixel increase of 70%. Most of the time I fly the PMDG NGX, Majestic Q400 and other like wise aircraft. Also I use detailed airports, REX, ASE, etc. 30fps is about the minimum I would like to achieve under most/all circumstances. What are you experiences? Does impose 1440p a big performace decrease compared to 1080p? Egbert P.S. Forgot to ask: Does 1440p also has a negative impact on VAS memory because of increased resultion

Hello This weekend I will be taking delivery of a 970 4Gb to replace my 770 2GB, I am currently running with driver 347.88 and i know that I will need to uninstall the driver before upgrading the card but I am not sure how to do this properly, can anyone advise me? Also would I be better off downloading a later driver?, I mainly use FSX but also getting into P3D so would really appreciate some advice on the best driver to go for that is good for both sims ( have read issues that some drivers make runway lights dissapear) many thanks Daz
