Got an Oculus Rift CV1 a week ago and decided to try it out in DCS. The problem is I am sitting on the floor of the plane. I have to stand up to be at the right position. How do I adjust this? Thanks

Hi All, I've really been out of the loop with graphics cards and haven't been in this forum for quite some time, so it seems like I may have an ancient card. I haven't updated my driver in a very long time (probably 2 years). It's always worked for me so I didn't mess around with it too much. I currently have: 340.52 I've been getting a BSOD drive_power_state_failure every time I shut down. '"ve been getting some support on a separate W7 forum and they stated it "might" be linked to my graphics card and recommend updating the driver. I only use FSX Do you recommend just downloading the latest driver? I'm not flying FSX too much these days (a 2 year ol…

  3. Hello all, I need assistance with adding a second monitor. I recently purchased a new PC with a GTX 1070 so I would like to get a 4K monitor. I will keep a second monitor with which I would use to display stuff like ProAtcx map, AS16 etc as well (perhaps) as secondary gauges in flight (GTN 750 etc). I have read alot about second monitors but little to do with two different GPUS! Would I simply connect the second monitor to the GTX 1070 or can I install the GTX 780 from my old PC (I know it will not be SLI)? Which would be the better of the two as far as [performance and compatibility with P3D (latest hotfix included)? Thanks for your help in advance!

Got my Oculus Rift Cv1 last week and I am rather disappointed. The immersion is fabulous but its near impossible to read any of the gauges. Even when I zoom they are still hard to read. Any tips? Thanks Pete

So the 1080 Ti has been postponed: http://wccftech.com/gtx-1080-ti-coming-pax-east-nvidia-aib/ I was ready to order a brand new system with things like a i7 7700K, Z270 mobo, 32 GB of at least 3200 RAM, Samsung 960 Pro 1 TB M.2 and a... 1080 Ti. But now I will have to wait yet another two months AT LEAST. And I've been waiting for a while already. My current main sim is XP11 and I am having fun with Aerofly FS 2 too. What would you do: wait for the 1080 Ti or get a 1080 (plus the rest of the system) NOW? I compared the specs and the 1080 Ti really looks a lot better, but well, the waiting game you always have to play with PC hardware is becoming boring... :…

Since Nvdia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang didn't even mention this at the 2017 CES as anticipated, I am assuming we won't see this video card for quite some time?

  7. Quickly want to share an experience I have made yesterday: I have been using a 4K TV screening from Samsung for a while, and since P3D is kind of a game, I used the "Game Mode" in the Samsung setting. Just out of curiosity, I tried another mode yesterday (cinema) and voila - P3D runs MUCH smoother (in 30Hz), which can easily be confirmed when using a camera tool like ChasePlane. So I would recommend that the Game Mode is NOT used for P3D. But maybe I am the only silly guy here who used that mode

Hi all, Currently ordered this monitor, but I see some mixed views about refresh rate. I read about the U3415W which I suppose is similar. Some say that it does not support 30Hz, others say that it can support 30Hz via nvidia control panel. If someone could confirm if this monitor can run 30Hz I would be very grateful. Of course I am interested in 30Hz at the same image quality as 60Hz and not a worse image quality. Thank you for your time.

https://www.engadget.com/2017/01/04/hdmi-2-1-specification/ The new spec should be good for those of us that like to use a TV as monitor ! The new spec should work with AMD Freesync ! I don't understand why monitor manufactures make such tiny monitors. Simming on a 4K 43" monitor is heaven !

Hi-I'm running a 6700 I-7 overclocked to 4.6, an ASUS Formula mob, and an Intel 750 ssd. I have three 4k screens in surround, which I use at various resolutions with various levels of success (native 4K, 2560 x 1440, 1920 x 1080, etc.). I use many ORBX addons, and others. I have a single stock air-cooled Titan pascal. From YouTube it appears to be quite easy to overclock the Titan. The Titan's base clock is 1418, with a boost to 1531, but I've seen where folks get the base clock up over 1900, using Unguine Heaven as the benchmark. Would I gain any performance benefits in P3Dv3.4 if the Titan was overclocked, and if so, to what level? Any advice would be gr…

So browsing the Nvidia forums today looking for any fix related to tearing with Gsync with the release of the new 373.06 driver i found this info that will help anyone using the 144hz refresh rate in P3d which will prevent tearing. Quote "Setting Vsync to "on" in the NVCP, it stops tearing now. Nvidia have changed how Gsync worked by default a few driver versions ago...it used to automatically kick in at all times, so all you had to do was set the game vsync to "off", but now you need to enable Vsync for Gsync both in game and the NVCP for it to work as well, otherwise games will tear." And i tested it today after a complete driver update using DDU and confirm thi…

Hi.. I'm trying to install 'nvidia inspector' but as the title suggests, I'm getting this 7316 error. My GC is the GE Force 7600 GS...I read somewhere that this error occurs when there'a an AMD CC in the PC..Checked my 'Device Manager...not the case. I've used it before, but my PC crashed and I had to repair it...and re-install everything! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks ZA

This may be a dumb question but here goes anyway. I recently upgraded to a 4k TV that supports several resolutions including 25, 29, and 30 hz. Using vsync and setting it to 29hz it runs very smooth, but, after my initial climb I get pretty bad blurries at unlimited FPS while maintaining 29 FPS. If I use the 25hz refresh rate, it is still not perfect but much improved. But, I get some pretty bad input lag on my mouse and the colors appear to look a bit weird at 25. Is there a way to solve the input lag issue or is this just me not used to the lower refresh rate? It's not the end of the world if I only use it for P3D but the lag would drive me nuts when using my comp…

Everyone, I thought I knew this but I obviously didn't: is P3D more CPU or GPU based? I knew FSX didn't use squat out of the GPU, but I thought P3D was using it much more than the CPU. My friend says that it's sort of a half and half, saying that "if you have a lower CPU and a higher GPU, you wouldn't get an increase in frames". Anyone know the full answer to this?

Hi all Thinking of getting the LG 29UB67-B which is a 29 inch monitor running at 2560 x 1080 with 5ms response rate. I can get it for A$369. My question is: Is the resolution OK for that size monitor? Thanks for any answers. Merry Christmas to all. John

  20. Is there any big advantage to a DVI or HDMI connection into a 1080p monitor from a GTX1080i? I don't need sound into the monitor, only video. Thanks, Bruce.

Hi, could you help me with one question that bothers me? My System right now: i7-3820, 16GB RAM, GTX 680, Win 10 64bit. All drives are SSDs. Single Monitor 1920x1080 I can run P3D quite ok, not stellar, but ok. As long as I stay away from complex planes, I can run it with real weather (AS 2016) and decent autogen as well as some AI traffic with 30 frames locked. However, I would like to use complex planes ;-). Would I benefit enough from upgrading to a GTX 1080 - or would you advise me to get a newer processor AND a new graphics card? As money does matter, keep this in mind as well. Thanks für your thoughts. Bernhard

Hi, I've already tried Geforce forums with this question but no luck, so I'm trying on here as I know there will be a lot of guys who multiple monitor setups. I have recently added another monitor to my setup. I use my GTX750ti to run my main monitor, and added an old 9500GT to run my second. This all works perfect for what I need, but, Nvidia control panel will not work anymore. Does anyone have any solutions to this? Cheers in advance.

I currently have a 750ti and I am hopefully getting a new GPU for the holidays, a GTX 1060. I've got an OC AMD FX8350 running at 4.3 GHz. Will the 1060 increase my frames drastically in P3D? I currently get about 25 in the QW757 cockpit at IAD, with ASN, Rex, Flightbeam, etc.

  24. Hello, I have a question regarding a possibility of having a multi-monitor set-up for two different monitors (980Ti is here). They have 1920 and 2560 max resolutions respectively (both ASUS). Planning to use the former for P3D (I know it sounds strange, but with all add-ones I have, 2560 resolution is a way too much) and the latter for things such as FSC/PROATC/AS2016 etc. Are there any technical troubles for having two different monitors on a single GPU? Thanks

Hello fellow simmers, I have read here that the new nvidia drivers introduce stutters for the Pascal 10 series cards. I am currently on the latest, 376.33 and own a gtx1080. I was wondering if anyone was using an older version for the pascal card that produced better performance in p3d v3.4?? I think the first driver version to support the pascal cards was 368.25.
