I understand that I could use the HDMI out from the video card ( that would have both the video and sound) to a Yamaha receiver to get 5.1 surround DD sound. The EVGA 1070 has 4 video out... I have another video card in my PC as well Lets stick to the 1070 for now. I have three monitors hooked up to the 1070 in surround view. I am using the second video card for a 4th 19" touchscreen I am thinking of taking the HDMI out from the 1070 to the receiver..even though it may have video content I am only interested in the sound from this out. Or do I simply reroute what I currently going from HDMI to the monitor to the receiver and then connect the HDMI out from …

Good day all. I hope I am at the right place. I have triple monitor setup. I have noticed if I use FSX on one monitor then it runs relatively smooth. If I use borderless software or if I expand FSX across all 3 monitors then I can see stuttering regardless of aircraft/airport I use. This used to be OK but I was messing around with NI recently and maybe I messed up something. I wonder what can cause it and if there is anything I can change in NI or cfg to get rid of stutters if I use all try monitors like borderless. Thx for looking. Hey Guys, I'm about to throw out some money to upgrade from my GTX780 which clearly became a bottleneck with my current setup - P3D v3.4 - i7 4790K @ 4.6GHz - 32Gb RAM - SSD - SINGLE 30" Dell in 2560x1600 native resolution It's quite obvious that even a single 1070 of any kind would be a great improvement, as the 780 is maxed out while the processor obviously has more to give. I'm flying a lot of addon sceneries and aircraft, ASN, PMDG, Pro ATC, TrackIR, etc...lot of stuff taking their own tax on the system. I saved up the cash for even a high-end GTX 1080 but it costs about the same as 2 x average GTX 1070's in SLI, so it came to my mind, what would b…

Hello, folks. I've been having a color banding issue for quite some time now. The banding is especially noticeable at night with cockpit lights and ground flood lights. I use P3Dv3.4. Right now I am using a GTX 770 and a Viewsonic 27 inch monitor set to 1080p. Could this be a graphics card issue, driver issue, or just a crappy monitor? Is there a way to get rid of this banding? Regards, Todd

Upgraded to the latest ones, and then used system restore. Performance was down by half (using GTX 1060 Strix) in terms of frames (11 - 15 fps at rainy, foggy heavy overcast Munich). When i restored the system to the previous driver frames were 25-35. I would not recommend upgrading to 375.86 :(

Just got a new computer to run FSX...no add-ons. Windows 7... It's an Intel i5 6500 3.2 GHZ 6MB and a Nvidia GeForce GTX1060 3GB PCI-E. I'm running it on a 27 inch monitor and have tried every combination of settings known to man from FSX settings to the cards settings. Problem is it locks up after about 15 minutes when flying no matter the change in setting. Resolution was 1920x1080 and have changed that down for a little longer flight but in 20 minutes it locks up. I have the SP1 and SP2 installed. I'm wondering if the Nvidia card is strong enough to run FSX or should I get a 6GB card? Not sure if that would make a difference but am wondering about it. Could also "possi…

Hello all, I have had the pleasure of use, of my new purchase for the better part of a week, and have been enjoying and exploring the extraordinary features and capabilities of ths Pascal based card, as per my base of my prior GTX 680 2GB. The experience has been a true eye-opener, in the following performance. It was apparent that I was never receiving the true processing power of my i7-975 Extreme 4 core CPU , in any of my prior cards, that being the GTX285 that came with the system, and my GTX680, that replaced the GTX285 original. With my Pascal 1070 8 GB card, I have mostly doubled the FPS and clarity of video output, over the two previous cards. …

Hi all, I recently upgraded my graphics card to a GTX 980 (was on a 580), I have been able to crank up my display settings a fair bit, but the picture is still not smooth like others I have seen on youtube. (Neither is performance but I am well aware my CPU needs an upgrade too!) I am using a Panasonic 37inch TV, its 1080p connected via HDMI running at 60hz (10,000:1 Contrast and 100Hz Motion Picture Pro) . Am I wrecking my experience with a display like this? I have a real monitor on the other side of my desktop, which was when I bought it very high end (Samsung syncmaster) but its only 22inch and only does 1680x1050. I like the size of this screen, unfortun…

I apologize if this is in the wrong forum, I though this was the best fit. I have a multi monitor setup and like to have the instruments on separate displays. This works great with most aircraft as I can click and drag and resize the individual components to configure it as I'd like. With the 757 from Just flight, most panels work fine and can be moved and resized, though some panels I am unable to move, (such as the efis and ecam displays) wherever I click on these the display closes. I click on the edges to resize and it closes or I click and drag the mouse bit instead of moving it closes. What can I do in order to prevent this?

Hi guys! If you don't have a 30Hz capable monitor, you need to try. Just discovered a level of smoothness that is incredible in P3D! 100% stutter or micro stutter free...and hope you test it and comment. You need a Nvidia Series 10 card (PASCAL). - Limit to 30.5 FPS in NI - Put the Fast Sync option in Vsync in NI - Unlimited FPS, Vsync and TB off in P3D. No more, only max power in NCP. AM=85 for me. I have my screen at 60Hz, but i think it can work at upper RR. For me, this is the best combination and gives me a complete stutter or micro stutter free in P3D V3, is incredible! Test and comment please...

Dear Friends. I have recently upgraded to a new Skylake chip and SSD's. I have been using 3 Sony 17inch monitors that I have made into one desktop 3840x1280. The LCD's are over 10 years old so beginning to show their age. I have been eyeing the new LG Ultrawide monitors. I have a question for those that might have upgraded from multi monitor to a single widescreen. Obviously the width is not as great but I wonder from having no bezels if the experience feels more immersive and if the resolution feels better with one single display? I have always liked the wrap around of 3 monitors. I use Track IR. I am also wondering whether VR will be big soon so should hold o…

There has been quite a buzz in some OC/enthusiast web sites about evga 1080/1070 FTW cards literally having their VRMs catch fire. This is no joke, and it has become very well known that this problem potentially exists with these cards. Seems all the cards with their ACX 3.0 cooler may be so affected, though I've yet to see anyone post anything specifically about a non-FTW card. This has been taken seriously by evga, such they have released for the affected cards a bios with a more aggressive fan curve, and a thermal pad mod kit for the VRMs, which they will send to owners at no cost. To get these, your card must be registered with evga. Check it out at http://www.evg…

Here is my specs: CPU: Intel Core2 Duo E7500 Overclocked at 3.5 GHz GPU: GT 520 I only fly in FSX and mostly with NGX/Aerosoft Airbus. I am thinking about upgrading to GTX 750Ti, but will I get noticeable fps gain? Right now I get 20 to 30 fps depending on weather and amount of scenery objects. Thanks for any inputs!

With the new 375.57 and 375.63 drivers the Nvidia control panel is missing from install. Tried a system wide search, nothing. Anyone else having this issue? Win10 pro, 1080gtx and 375.63 driver. The previous driver before 375.57 had the control panel installed.

I have a 2gb GPU now in p3d v3.3 on medium to high swttings and it works okey. But on some airpotrs p3d uses all vram and I have a peformence drop. So think I will upgrade the graphic card one day. But what should I buy. How much Vram. Will the gtx 1060 3gb be enough. Or should I go for gtx 1050 ti 4gb when it releases. How much do you have and how is that working.

I would like to move up from my small 27" LG monitor (1920 x 1080) to a 50" 4K TV. My question is how small is the text on FSX and X-Plane 10 on the lager 50" 4K screen? In FSX I can see the text better than in X-Plane 10. On my current screen I need to use a magnifying glass to read the text. (blind in one eye and not much better in the other.) I do not want to end up with nice large image and having to stick my nose on the screen to read the dials. Terry
