Like many others I have a 1080p monitor but would really like to be able to use a 1440p resolution. I have seen alot of people use DSR factors for games like BF4,etc.When I tried this with P3D the 1440p resolution in the drop down menu showed up but didn't do anything when P3D was loaded. Anyone ever used DSR factors with P3D and if so what were your results?

I am using the latest Nvidia drivers, fsx acceleration, Titan video card, windows 10 Pro, and every time I shut fsx after a long flight, my screen turns off, goes black, and I need to press the power button on my computer to turn it off. Anyone else have this problem? I am going to try beta drivers. Did not have this problem before.

I remember when this demo would tax my system right to the max. Now with my 1080, this beautiful piece of eye-candy is finally tamed, but just as awesome to look at now as it was back when it was new. A nice GPU test! Get the Demo here: http://www.egosoft.com/download/x3/demos_en.php?download=145

Hello there. I am currently running FSX Steam Edition for flying on VATSIM. I use a number of addons like PMDG, Majestic and Aerosoft Aircraft, and many addon sceneries from Aerosoft, FlyTampa, T2G, etc. Here are my current specs: AMD FX 6300 3.5GHz Gigabyte Motherboard (AM3+ Socket) Stock CPU cooling AMD Radeon R7 240 2GB 8GB DDR3 RAM Windows 10 x64 I have to run FSX on very low settings which makes textures, sceneries and terrain look rather horrible. I can tweak it to the point of maybe getting 20fps in well optimized or less dense scenery, but once you start adding in more dense scenery and air traffic, frame rate can drop as low as 8fps (which I am …

I currently have a 30" Monitor running at 2560x1600, and games looks great on it. It's about 20-30 inches away from my face. I'm thinking about upgrading to something a bit larger, perhaps a 49" 4K TV. Which one will look better considering that both will be about the same distance from my face? If the image will look sharper on the 30" 2560x1600 at 30 inches vs the 4K TV then I rather just stick to what I have.

Hello; Wondering if any of you here use this monitor? I have this monitor, but for some time been struggling to find the correct color settings for P3D v3 with HDR. Would any of you be so kind to share what works best for you? Many thanks. The problem mainly is that when I pan around outside where it bright and then return to the cockpit, the textures of the cockpit are dark until I move around a little. This has been driving me crazy... .

I currently have an EVGA GTX 680 FTW+ Edition, but I'm not sure if the EVGA GTX 1080 FTW will work with my PSU. MY PSU PCI-e has 4 x 6+2-Pin, and on the 1080 it has 2 x 8pin. I'm not sure how my current GTX 680 is connected, it's been awhile since I last checked.

I do hope someone can point me in the right direction here. I've just upgraded from a GTX 970 to a GTX 1070 and my P3D frame rate has dropped considerably. Not what I was expecting at all. I removed my 970 and installed the 1070, completely removed the Nvidia drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) and clean installed 368.81. Everything went fine with Valley Benchmark showing a healthy increase in score from 1967 to 2890. Fine so far, until I ran P3D. Before the change at Orbx KPSP in a Lancair Legacy I was getting 42 fps. Running with the same settings with the 1070 I'm now getting 23 fps. My system is: 6700k, 32GB ram, MSI GTX1070 Gaming X, …

Just wondering whether anyone has either of these, and of so whether you had any comments about it for flightsim use. I won't be using this as a TV, it'll strictly be a flightsim monitor. I'm looking to pick one up at Currys PC World on Saturday. http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and-home-entertainment/televisions/televisions/lg-55uf680v-smart-ultra-hd-4k-55-led-tv-10135233-pdt.html http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and-home-entertainment/televisions/televisions/samsung-ue55ju6445-smart-ultra-hd-4k-55-led-tv-10124851-pdt.html Any comments appreciated.

I currently have a GTX 680, but I ordered a new GTX 1080 graphics card and it should be coming shortly. I wanted to know whats the proper way to get up and running with my new graphics card. Should I uninstall my current nvidia graphics driver and revert back to the generic one before installing my new video card? Or can I simply just swap out my old one for the new one, and then update the drivers?

Hi, My specs are in my signature. My PC is a bit dated, but recently upgraded to a gtx 970. I currently have a single 24" 1920x1080 monitor, and get an average 20fps without any stutter, in pmdg 777 and most pay ware airports. I am planning to go to a dual monitor another 24" (1920x1080) setup for virtual cockpit, I would like to know. A. How do I set it up? B. Will there be a fps drop or stutter by going to dual monitor on my PC setup. Thanks so much... hoping to get a view before buying another monitor.

Ive looked around the internet and trying a solution that Kostas said with a bat file that enables something called Aero that does something to fix this problema. The problem is the bat file cannot find the route ( and yeah i put the proper route so i must be doing something wrong. Do you guys know any other simple solution that fixes the problem? Thanks

G'day all, The planning for my new build is going well, I have so far snagged a 480GB SSD and GTX 1070. This will be run on a Z170 motherboard and a 6700k which I plan to overclock. One thing which I am not sure of is what sort of screen size and resolution to go for. Given the money I'm spending I hope to run with settings mostly to the right. With a few add ons running concurrently, would it be unrealistic of me to expect to run 1440p at a good frame rate? I would be interested to hear what sort of setups people are running with respect to resolution and GPU/CPU pairings. Cheers.

Hi everybody. I have a surround question for you all. I have 3 monitors in surround and a fourth in wideview. This works pretty well although wideview is a tad wonky. Has anyone done 6 monitors in surround(3x3)? I am building a 737 pit and I would like to expand my side views with this configuration. Just wondering if and how well it works. Thanks everyone. http:// ( Sorry if I didn't upload the pic correctly. Also don't pay attention to the Cessna in the monitors, just used it for alignment purposes.)
