I've had this happen a couple of time now on trans-Atlantic flights. I believe its limited to P3D v.3.5. My screen flashes, goes dark, almost instanlly comes back on and I get the above message. Of course, the event causes a CTD in P3D. I have an Nvidea GTX 970 and the driver is 368.39-and a dual monitor setup. Running Windows 10 64. Anybody had this experience or have an ideas what causes it? Thanks.

I am running WIN 10 Pro and am still with the original NVIDIA GTX 580 driver that was downloaded automatically when I upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10. I want to install version 368.22 which seems to work well for others based on input on this forum. Somebody said the current driver caused frame rate drops. That is an older driver though so I cannot download it using the GEOFORCE Experience and when I try do pull it up from NIVDIA manual download site there is no dropdown for Windows 10 to help choose a driver, only Windows 7, 8, 8.1. I find that hard to believe that Windows 10 is not listed on the dropdown but such as it is, which driver should I choose? 8.1 64 bit? Why…

I never had this issue in FSX I used to undock GPS and move it to a second monitor (the first monitor in theree screen surround view) I have never managed to that with P3D. I have the GTX 1070 and latest driver When I undock a popup (GPS or FMS..or anything) my FPS drips to 4 or 5. I never understood why that is.... and I am looking for a fix. Is it a P3D issue? Since I did not have this issue when I had FSX. Thanks

I'm running W10 x 64 with a 980Ti card on a Samsung 55' 4k TV. All was well until last night. My desktop (and therfore also flightsim) now seems to be running at a lower resolution than 4k. It looks like 1080p to me. The desktop fonts are scaled correctly, but slightly aliased, the display somewhat blurred and the colour is somewhat muted. Nvidia control panel is set at 3840x2160 (native) as is my Windows resolution. The cables are secure and properly connected. I'm a bit stumped.. I remember when installing W10 a few weeks back, I had this problem initially. A mate of mine did something in the settings which returned the display to a crisp colourful 4k di…

My three year old AMD Radeon HD 7870 recently failed, and the tech shop recommended replacing it with a Radeon R7 360 by MSI. So far I'm not impressed with the performance and am having to tweak FSX to get some smoother framerates. I'm not sure what to do at this point other than to find a better card. I'd stick with the new card if there was more information on how to configure it for FSX. My system is a Dell XPS 8500 desktop, i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40 ghz AND 16 GB Ram. And I'm running Windows 8.1. So, I'm looking for any advice, suggestions or links to other sites that might help me. Oh, and if you feel that the Radeon R7 360 is not a good card for FSX, fee…

Hey all, In March I built a new rig with a 980Ti Hybrid and everything was fine and dandy. One day I turned on my machine and heard a fan spinning load enough to be mistaken as a helicopter in my office. Long story short the radiator on my 980Ti hybrid had gone bad and I had to RMA it. While I was going through the RMA process I installed my 780 from an old build and uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, cleared my P3D shaders, and removed the display entries from the CFG file. The sim worked (obviously left-ward moves of sliders compared to the 980) and it was more then okay for the time I was waiting for the replacement 980Ti to come in.This week the RMA arrived and I ha…

Want to replace my 27in Samsung monitor 1080p. Want to get a 2K resolution. Is 27in large enough or should I go with 32in? Does text get small with a 27in making it hard to read?

Hi, I have become a big fan of LM P3D. Now I consider upgrading my Video Card. Especially when I have more than one cloud layer and cloud shadows activated the frames per second drops dramatically. I wonder whether the GTX 1080 could improve my performance (up to 10FPS). I already read lots of benchmarks of the card, but can P3D use the (whole) capacity of the card? Some users reported that upgrading from a 770 to 780 or 970 to 980 does not improved their performance. That is why I am asking. It would be great if GTX 1080 owners could report their experiences. Thanks in advance

Hi there, after my motherboard debacle in the other post i decided to give the cpu one more try and try anotehr motherboard. Any skylake users that use more tan 4 monitors here with 2 gpus can tell me which motherboards are they using and which memory?? Im looking for a motherboard that supports two different GPUS for 6 monitors total: 3 in surround + 3 accesories. If you guys tell me i should go with a single ATI card then i will but i understand NVIDIA is better. The build ive been using was an old Core2duo with a 750ti and a zotac 275 handling all 6 monitors ok ( one of them was at a lower resol tan its native but at least it worked ) Thanks

Hello all I am building a new system to run P3D V3 w/ ASN, REX texture Direct + Soft Clouds (Soon to be SKYFORCE 3D), multiple high detail aircraft addons (PMDG,A2A, Flight1, Carenado, etc), orbx and the list goes on. Here is my parts list http://pcpartpicker.com/list/pqNJVY I have a question regarding the capabilties of my graphics setup. My 6700K CPU is from silicon lottery pre-binned and delidded running OC at 4.9Ghz stable so i shouldn't have CPU limitations and the resolution will be 11520x2160 Triple 4k 50" TV's and 2 x ASUS GTX 1080 Strix Cards OC'd in High Bandwidth (HB) SLI (Nvidia SLI HB Bridge) 1.) Can this setup operate p3d visuals arou…

AMD's new budget $200-$240 graphics card (essentially equivalent in performance to the Geforce GTX 970) has some serious design flaws which could kill your motherboard. There are lots of tech sites doing analysis of this issue and lots of discussion forums with in-depth discussions. I feel like this discussion is the best I've come across thus far, with an explanation in the first post. http://techreport.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=118144 Note: it is possible that this issue will be corrected by AMD at some point either through manufacturing changes or via software updates but no solution has been identified at this point in time.

Anyone using a VIZIO 50" 4K UHD LED Smart TV (D50u-D1) for P3D / XP10? If so how are you finding it? It may be a cheap TV but its got the fastest response time of all 2016 model 4K TV's and it can run at 30 or 60 Hz. http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/vizio-vizio-50-4k-uhd-led-smart-tv-d50u-d1-d50u-d1/10416749.aspx?path=c44f0a7a826c761127a64c04148a5f8cen02

I have a EVGA 970GTX GPU. I downloaded the EVGA overclock tool and played with it but am unhappy with the results I am getting. I am trying to reset the settings back to the way the GPU came out of the box and it is not working using the overclock tool. Which would work better to restore the original card settings? 1. Uninstall the Overclock Tool 2. Uninstall the drivers and install new ones? Thanks Randy S

I have recently updated my AMD display driver to the latest version (16.200.1025.0, June 6, 2016) and it seems to work great. I also changed my Anti-aliasing Method from Multisampling to Supersampling. It seems to have smoothed out my flights and provided me with a small improvement in FPS. I am running Windows 10 FSX Acceleration.

Could I have some honest opinions on this screen please http://orwww2.benq.com/product/monitor/BL2711U/specifications/ I am currently using GTX970 with a view to GTX 980TI or 1080 in the future. I know its 4K but I would be planning to reduce to 3840x1440 if it will let me in the meantime. Need a new screen and sort of future proofing. Thoughts please. S
