Not sure if this would be the right form but someone might know.Is there anyway to change the muiltplayer aircraft from the very basic looking default aircraft to something like aircraft used with projectAI aircraft?Is is it normal for the multiplayer aircraft to disapear and move forward and back, is this a delay problem?Thanks

Actually I have 2 questions.1. Is there real weather with SB and do I have to do anything to enable it.2. When using SB, do I download real weather when setting up FS2002 or is it a waste of time or again does SB use the weather I just downloaded.RonCVA1701Thanks

A couple of tech issues:How do I get SB Flight planner to show all the buttons? My config is 1024 x 768 small fonts. Also, is there a tutorial on using the default SB flight planner?When I have a *.pln (default FS2K2 GPS/planner) flight plan is there a way of filing it in SB without having to copy all the waypoints manually? If not, is there a way to save a flight plan filed manually (not loaded into the FMS) so you don't have to do it again every time you want to fly on the same route?Thanks.Mau

I just recently got kicked from the best place on earth, Chicago ARTCC. Because i guess of hours. Well, firstly, the servers must be wrong. I at least give 10 hours a WEEK controlling. For 3 years I have been doing this, and I know dont mess around with this stuff. And secondly, i know there is no way to change this but signing up for the CHicago ARTCC roster again. How might i do this. Ian says there is a button on the webpage. I cant find one. Any help or links?

It's been awhile since I flew on VATSIM but I think I'm ready to get back into it. I seem to remember that SB had limited functionality in FS2K2. I don't recall if it had to do with automatic RW synchronization or what. I will be running SB on a 2nd computer linked via WideFS. Any limitations still? Thanks!David

....what am I overlooking here, Servinfo loads only old data, 1 hour or more, I do not show up on Whazzup however SB is apparantly working normally with FS2002, no error msg there and flight plan sent in. FSUIPC in place.???? I connect to Vatsim via Serinfo and Whazzup.Regard

There must be something I am doing wrong. I start off to the first waypoint and hit the three capture buttons and everything is tracking correctly. After it passes over that waypoint it wants to go into orbit. Hello Everyone, I've been having strange problems with HostSB and SB ever since I did a reinstall of Squawkbox 2.3 (the one at VATSIM's site) in my system -- I can't get it to run without getting this user.dll(?) error. After that, the hostsb window in FS just freezes and you can't resize it.Strange, it was working perfectly before.Am on WinXP home and FS2002. There is currently an expected and scheduled outage of the USA-S1 server to perform a network change/upgrade at its host location. This outage affects many VATSIM services, including mail, and web pages, and PC/SB hub services. May not be the idea place to post this but I may get some advice :-)I occassionally host MP sessions for crews in the VA I fly for but each time I host a RW channel people cannot connect.When I click the 'create' button in RW it automatically enters my IP addy, do I need to enter a frequency after the IP addy?just to complicate things, and Talon5 may come in here ;-), I run 2 PCs for FS.One PC is connected to the Net via cable and, in MP sessions, runs RW.The second PC runs FS and the 2 are connected with Widefs and no problems when flying VATSIM.The 2 PCs are hooked up with ICS for MP sessions so the FS PC can have independent access to the Net.I have tried running RW on…

I had my first successful online flight using RW voice last night :)I deliberately selected YSSY for this as there was only one controller in the vicinity on duty -SY_V_APP- and only a couple of nearby aircraft. Now, because there was only 1 controller , I didn't get handed over to anyone else but I am wondering what I would have done if I had? I know that selecting "ATC Directory" in SQUAWKBOX and double clicking on SY_V_APP tuned in both my COM1 radio and also the appropriate RW channel -- would I have had to do this also if the controller had handed me over to another controller?Thanks Barry

Well, what can I say...This was one of the best fly-in I have seen/participated in.My story was simple, an easy run from DFW to ICT, route of flight...IRW.J21.ICTroute actually flown...IRW.IRW090 (hold).PER.DOTEE.KICTHad a really good time, though I think lag was starting to hit, at least on the voice side.Only issues I saw, no EFC times given in the holds, and a few slam dunk arrivals, otherwise no big deal, a few lost comm situations as well.Everyone stayed patient, it was a blast, just like the real world tonight!WELL DONE GUYS!!!!!!!!Again?????J. I've been away from online ATC for probably 2 years. I certainly have never flown online using FS2002 and I can't remember flying online with FS2000....I decided to give VATSIM a try just to see how it was. WELL! I am now addicted to VATSIM and refuse to fly without it. AS a matter of fact, my flights are now based on ATC being online in the sectors in which I wish to fly. I, subsequently, have flown with VATSIM exclusively over the last 30 days.VATSIM gives the final "icing on the cake" dynamic to FS2002. Gone is the canned FS2002 unrealistic (albeit decent) ATC. VATSIM+PIC/Dreamfleet+realistic scenery=total immersion the likes of which can NOT be surpassed unless…

I am VERY new to all this -- but one of the first thing I notice (after connecting at a time when there were few controllers on "duty")is that it appears that the info given by Wazzup as to how many controllers are operating and where they are seems to be at odds with the online info given out at the VATSIM website.Any comments please? - and what is the best way to determine where controllers are operating.?

Wow! What a night in Kansas! 8 orbits in a hold, then 2 spins for spacing then a last minute rwy change due to another pilot's error ending with a CAT III approach that endend perfectly (thank the good Lord for PIC). Great time guys!! Tons of traffic like I have never seen before. Can't wait for the next one. One suggestion though..maybe move it over to KMCI so we can use published holds as KICT has none. Make life alot easier on you controllers! Great job by all.

Well not fully the truth - I can see ATC Controllers (some) but none of the ones which should be close to me, and even those I do see don't seem to communicate with me.What happens is when I look at the ATC Directory I get UNICOM - and usually nothing else. Then I might see a couple of _OBS which I believe is Observers...I usually never see any active ATC controllers - and usually those that are close to my position never appear either.I'm using Whazzup - so I know there are controllers on - but I never see them in my ATC Directory.Just noticed that I don't appear on Whazzup either - so I can see all the other pilots but my Plane ID never appears... Anyone able to help - …

Hi i am new at the vatsim place now i have all my id now can someone please teach me how to get on to there games so i could play?

I have been able to successfully install Squarkbox and connect to the Vatsim network -- but could not get the chat box to come up in my FS2002 screen. The only way I could access the box to talk to ATC was to minimize FS2002 each time.But I have found a great "fix" in the form of a dll file that you put into the modules folder that allows you to run a Squarkbox host programme from within FS2002 itself . You do not run the Squarkbox host which comes with the standard Squarkbox download.Voila!!!! :)BarryPS How come I only found this in some "obscure" South African website - no mention of it anywhere else in the main Vatsim websites
