While on approach to KMIA last night, I was cleared to land on KMIA rwy 12 by KMIA_CTR. My SBox ACARS was showing winds something like 150-10-G16 which should have been pretty manageable, right?Everything went perfect until the moment my B762ER's wheels touched down at which time my plane became uncontrollable -- it felt as if the wind was of hurricane magnitude, forcing the plane out of the runway towards the left with no response to any lateral controls.For the record, my standard FSUIPC configuration (version 2.85) *always" has surface winds set to "automatic" and to "1" (which should always prevent this problem), and all gusts are suppresed.I remember a year or two ag…

Good afternoon,I have a question. I want to fly a flight from Moskou to Washington DC Int Airport with the 747 Air Force One. There has been a discussion in the DutchVacc about this. They say that since the September 11 you may not use any callsigns that has effect on that day.But I saw yesterday that some one flew with the callsign AF1. I heard that when you fly under this callsign that you are banned from VATSIM for lifetime. But I have absolutle no intension to take advantage of it. (recently posted this in the Squawkbox/PC Forum)I am having problems using RW with SB and MSFS 2002. I can transmit fie as long as I have Flight Sim paused or have "task switched" out of the program. If I attempt to transmit while Flight Sim is running, I get a horrible squelch or static noise. Any ideas? I have MSFS 2002, using the current version of SquawkBox and Roger Wilco. I've noticed there seems to be some problems with VATSIM.net. After reading about VATSIM I decided it would really be something I'm interested in flying around in. When will the website be back up?Also, what's the difference between VATSIM and IVAO?I live and operate in the US, general aviation. Hello all. Here is the problem I am having. I go through all the steps like normal. I have a cable modem so I am always on the internet, turned off Norton's firewall and XP's firewall, start a MP session, launch SB Host from the modules directory then minimize. I then start SB Main Program.exe, type in my player name in the box that pops up with TCP/IP highlighted, click start search, then type in 127.0.0.1 and press OK, I highlight the session and click Join. Then SB crashes everytime. Says there was an error with SB Main Program.exe. I have version 2.3.5 for Fs2002. Now here is where it gets strange. I keep the FS multiplayer session open and connected, then if I click …

I am thinking of registering at VATSIM but it seems that it is not possible altough the site is back online.Can anybody advise when it will be possible, the site specifies 23rd May.

When flying online, the winds aloft at cruise altitude (like FL350) never exceed 30 knots. Realistically, they can reach 100 knots. Is there a way to allow flight sim to allow strong winds?

I have recently upgraded my PC (formerly P3-550MHz, Windows 2000) with an ASUS P4-1.6GHz motherboard, a GeForce4 MX 420 graphics card (with the lastest drivers 28.32 downloaded from NVIDIA), I now run the system with Microsoft XP. My inability to fly FS2K2 with SB started after the upgrade, with freezing of the PC at unexpected and inconsistent times.I followed the good advice I got in this forum, which included (as a last resort) a total reformat of the hard drive.After all the reformat, the first flight of FS2K2 in SB, resulted in a frozen mouse. everything has always been good lately i reinstalled windows after i got everything back together and i decided to do a SB flight i did it like normal connect the multiplayer in FS2002 open up the SB host and then the program itself tried to connect the multiplayer and it says loking for games it's pretty ubnormal when usually it picks up the multiplayer right away. please read this and try help with any inputs.Thanks.
