I have just downloaded the vatsim pilot-package. Right in the start (after been clicking 'next', 'ok' and 'browse' etc) of the installation of the SB I get the following message: 'Component Tranfer Error', 'Files: CSL', 'Result: Catastrophic'.After that the installation terminates. The percent reader has even been saying 1 percent...I then tried to download the SB2.3 alone from avsim. But the result were the same.Does anybody have an idea or good advice how I fix this - is it my machine or the download?thx, walleps. I run XP Pro

Hi everyone!I have no problems with connecting to Vatsim with Squawkbox using SB Relay and SB Host. Everything is fine until takeoff. When I'm airborne in my FFX/SGA Boeing 737-700 or Kittyhawk 737-800 the speed suddenly shows "000" and I can't control it. I have to select the aircraft again from the FS9 menu to correct it. The other problem I have is when there's a new aircraft approaching the area I'm in it says in Squawkbox "SAS175 has joined the session" and a message in FS9 comes up saying "Your aircraft is not compatible with FS2004. Do you want to disable the features not working?" And I have to click yes or no. This happens everytime a new aircraft joins the sessi…

Hi there, I have used SB before with no problems after having reinstalled it with no problems, I am now encountering a problem.SB connects ok to the server, however I cannot get any freqs in the ATC directory box, the only thing that comes up is 122.8 unicom.has anybody got some suggestions?Ken

Can I say thanks the folks on the VATSIM stand. I now have much better understanding of what goes on when you fly on-line. I was also helped to resolve some technical problems. When I got home and went online it was great to talk to some of the controllers I had met earlier in the day.Well done VATSIM.

What are the frame rate hits when flying on the VATSIM network?I've never noticed any because my system is fairly new.But a friend of my would like to register and start flying on VATSIM and he's wondering about it.It shouldn't cause a frame rate hit right?Shouldn't it only be lag he would deal with and not really any frame rate hits on his system?The other question he had was that since he lives and mostly flys in Venezuela, Caribbean and Central America too that there is not frequently staffed positions in those areas.To tell the truth I really never if look down there as I usually fly the US.Are those areas staffed much?He said someone suggested IVAO to him. Say I wanted to fly Los Angele-Hongkong or Los Angeles-Heathrow, would I be flying in/out of VATSIM area and if so can this be arranged? I am assuming VATSIM is USA only but if I am wrong please correct me. Also I wonder if it is possible to use VATSIM services while flying such long haul flights in pieces (using save utility). Hello,Real NEWBIE question here - I have learned how to get online, file FP's and use the SB functions. But when I call up the FMS function I do not see a TCAS selection. Hi all,I've spent some significant time flying the MSFS off-line (past few years) and I'm now wondering of becoming a VA member and start flying on-line.Keeping in mind I will be a newbie to the VA world, can someone guide me as to how all of this 'flying on-line' works...I have broadband so thats ok....but do i need to buy any software/hardware etc etc to be able to do this? Hows VA ATC differnt from ATC when one's flying off-line...do i need some sort of an add-on/interface to communicate to ATC on-line? Whats the concept? Hi All,Is anyone else having this problem? After flying online for maybe 10 minutes all of a sudden SBRelay stops working, Task Manager is showing this as "not responding" and occasionally this freezes FS all together.It happened to me last night while flying in the USA Vatsim event from Boston to JFK, just on final into 4R and SBRelay stopped working. (very frustrating indeed) !!I have followed various other posts in different forums but I am still having this problem.Any help would be very much appreciated.ThanksPHIL

I would just like to commend the people at mcdu.com for actually giving us information on a day-by-day basis via their forums on what is going on with their software. I'd also like to voice my concern about my feelings that sb3 will probably be inferior to their product. So far you can tell that support will probably be faster on the fsinn side, as well as the feature list longer. No precip in sb3? Still no peer to peer in sb3? Refresh only 250ms? When I signed up for VATSIM last year, because at the time I was flying for a British VA, I set my region to Europe and division to the United Kingdom, even though I live in the US. Now I may try my hand at controlling, and wanted to set my location back to North America - United States. I filled out the form on the vatsim.net website three days ago, and last I checked, my region is still listed as Europe - United Kingdom. Hi,I am using FS2002 Pro and i am using Squawkbox 2.3.5 Beta with FSUIPC version 2.92.I normally fly online with VATSIM and i receive the weather information via VATSIM's servers. I am not sure about this but as i understand it, the metar or weather data is sent or polled by my SB from a VATSIM server, this arrives in my Squawkbox. My Squawkbox sends this data on to FSUIPC. In FSUIPC there are possibilities to alter this weather data before sending it on to my FS2002. I have everything set to default so i should receive into my FS2002 whatever the weather is. FSUIPC sends this data in to FS2002 that then displays the clouds, generates rain, creates wind etc etc etc.....My…

When I click the 'Click here to get into the action' button on the splash screen in Squawk Box, nothing happens. The manual says that SBHost is supposed to show Squawk Box so I can continue and file a flight plan, but it only has the grey screen. Please help me.
