I am trying to set up FX2004, SB etc etc.All software including SB, SB Relay, FS2004, FSUIPC etc have been installed corrctky as far as I can tell.If I startup SB Relay neither FS or SBwill recognise the server session.I have tried opening ports on the firewall, allowing programs thru the firewall, entering IP address 127.0.0.1 in the seach for a multiplayer sesion, changing the client ports in FS to other numbers including "0", hosting a sesion before connecting, running SB relay before conneting to the internet etc etc.However, neither FS nor SB will recognise any sesion to connect to....I can connect to other multiplayer sessions on Zone.com with no problem. Any sugges…

When I start a multiplayer session in FSNav I can see myself but no other aircraft. To add to this I can't see the other aircraft on the ground.I know this has been brought up before but non of the answers seem to help. Am I mising something?

Hello,I'm using Windows XP Home, DirectX 9.0c, FS9, the latest FSUIPC, latest Squawkbox (2.3), etc.I have everything installed per instructions received from the Vatsim site.Here's my steps for launching everything:1)Open SB Relay.2)Open FS - Make flight.3)Setup Multiplayer4)Go up to Modules and HostSB5)Start menu and load squawkbox.6)Finds my multiplayer game, I click ok or join whichever button it is, waits a minute.7)Then I get an error message asking me if I want to send an error report to Microsoft. This happened before, then I restarted and it did not send the error message. Then I closed FS and tried it again and I got the error box again. Now I'm getting it all…

If I load up the SBHost.exe and then SB I can access all the SB functions no problem. BUT I can only ATC with FS minimised and SB on the screen, which is hopeless.If I start SBHost.dll and then SB my PC almost dies. It is impossible to use.Sometimes when I load up usind the dll everything is spot on, no delays, all functions avaiable and voice as well. Is there a trick on loading up everything so that the .dll option works everytime? Or at least getting the .exe version to work with FS on screen?Getting this sorted would be a great Christmas present.Happy Christmas to all

I've been trying to get on to Vatsim for the past week and everytime I get to SB and get to the connect part and hit okay I get. Error: Invalid Callsign or Password.I know that this is not correct as I have signed up and entered the correct password. I have tried to make a second account just to make sure that the original is not busted or void or whatever but am still getting the same error. As maost UK controllers are usually available in the evening, when it's dark, is there any issues with changing the time of day rather than always flying at night?

I'm a new member and just completed a flight which seemed successful. I was connected and things seemed to be working fine. No ATC was 'on' in my area so 122.8 was used. During the flight I checked Servinfo and it showed me okay but it reported that no flight plan was filed. I filed the plan using the option in SB within FS and it reported 'sent'.Question(s): Do you have to file from the main VATSIM FP page? Or was it not showing a FP because no controller was on to accept it...or did I miss something?Thanks.

Hello, Can someone please tell me why , everytime I go online and connect to Vatsim I can't see other aircraft or when I do a little dialogue box appears saying ..@loading this aircraft may cause your system to become unstable do you want to load it' I sus[ect this has something to do with my CLS files but where do i begin?help much appreciatedPaul

Hello, I have just installed and sucessfully used ServInfo 2.02However, I have noticed some strange things happening in the Oceania region: In ServInfo there are only 2 FIRs in Australia: YMMM and YBBBIn the ATC applet on VATSIM there are many more than 2.Why?Same thing with New Zealand...as I speak, the VATSIM applet shows NZWN_CTR online , while ServInfo shows NZZC online. So, for example, if I were in Christchurch, would I be in controlled airspace or not? VATSIM tells me no, while ServInfo tells me I would!Anyone else noticed this? Any other regions of the world in which this happens? Is there an update for the ServInfo Fir.dat file to update the FIR boundaries t…

Gentleman,How can one tell if you are crossing or about to cross an ATC boundry if ServInfo is not being used. I see some areas request you contact them 10 min PRIOR to entering their boundry.THanks

Hi everyone.Just to add to the list of problems with SB can anyone help me with this one. I've been trying unsuccessfully to connect to VATSIM for several weeks. After reading several tutorials, all saying different things, I nearly got there. My first problem was the "forcefully disconnected" issue. Seems what I was told about putting 127.0.0.1 into the IP address box when searching for games to join was directing SB to look for my PC as the server when trying to connect! However, if I leave the box blank as advised in VATSIM 103D, SB searches for eternity with no result. My other problem is that when SB starts it says I am missing CSL_ICAO.CSV. I know it's in the SB dir…

My current headset is apparently too noisy, so I am looking for a new one. Question 1: USB connect or in the sound card? Question 2: Any recommendations?All advice gratefully accepted

Hello.A lot of users at the vatsim network has now waited a couple of years for a new software.Now fsinn is a fully working software. When is VATSIM going to approve this? It looks like users are escaping to other networks waiting for the approval. Lets hope they come back?!Also. Thats the angry part.Thanks for the good effort, building this community. hi all, i am using fs2004, sb relay installed sb host set up everything is set up right, i can connect hear atc etc. i can send my flight plan... everything work fine even connect to squak.. the only proplem is i cant see other planes anywhere and they cant see me. i show up on serverinfo but it shows me in the middle of the ocean. (even though im parked at the gate) very strange can anyone help that would be amazing. thanks lodasluke

Hello, I am totally new to this VATSIM stuff but it looks great. I would like to know if it is possible to be a controller AND a pilot on VATSIM or are you restricted to one or the other. I am still going thru a learning curve. I am OK on 'text. But I can't get voice working. I went to the European FlightSim EXPO on Saturday and spoke to the VATSIM guys there. When I got home I fired everything up starting at EGBB and got voice prefectly. Never had this before. Since then I have tried and tried to get voice working again but with no luck. It appears that I can transmit but in order to hear a reply I have to minimise FS9. I am using all the latest s/w and run SBHost.exe as I can't get SBHost.dll to work.As it has worked perfectly once why can't I get it to work everytime? Hi guys,I recently purchased FS9 and it's very impressive indeed, especially with addon's such as the PMDG 737. However, when i wish to fly online I encounter a problem. Once I have set-up multiplayer and joined the SBRelay session, it's time to run HostSB. It seems to approximately halve frame-rates when it is run. I tried this back on FS2002 and there is no performance hit at all. I have also tried going into windowed mode and the good performance returns, so it is only in full screen that the problem occurs. Wondering approximately what percentage of controllers are using voice communication (as my keyboarding skills are terrible). Is there somewhere I can find this info? Simple request. In the Who's Online listing....is it possible to alsi include the location of the controller's airspace? For example.....LSGG_V_TWR =Geneva_TowerIAD_V_APP =Potomac_ApproachThis would give me a fighting chance in flying to new locations without alot of work. Anyone else see value in this?
