does anyone know of a MAC utility to use with vatsim such as servinfo or whazzup. I have a spare MAC and it could act as a info screen for vatsim info if the software exists???thankspeter

Hi:I have just recently been encountering problems logging into on-line flying sessions through the FS9 Multiplayer window. Specifically, I am trying to return to a server that I have successfully logged onto many times in the recent past(WestCoast ATC). Recently, I have been getting a "Log-On Failed" message that says "Not all players were able to join..." or something to that effect. Coincidentally or not, this began shortly after I renewed my interest in flying online at VATSIM and installed Squawbox 3, which works just fine.Anyone have any ideas? Could this, is this, a known problem or conflict with Squawbox? Ports are default. Any help is appreciated. I'll post this …

at times i fly aircraft that make too much noise,, ( engine and machine noise ), it is at those times that the vatsim controller voices are too low, my sqb2 program is however at full. if i try to adjust the aircraft through msfs menus or the pmdg menu, everything gets too quiet..thoughts.pete

Hello, I have squawkbox in a second computer, but the SB small window is on the computer with FS and it overlaps my aircraft panel. Is it possible to have that window on the second computer instead of the main one?Thank you,James

Hello, Im fairly new to Vatsim and trying to set up an ATC system. Im not even sure if its possible... I have 3 computers networked together. 2 of them have flight sim on them, The third has the ASRC radar client. I want to set it up so that I can fly multi player with the other 2 computers and have the third computer as ATC to control them. So far ive got SB3 installed on all 3 computers with and the Radar client and SB3 on the other. Is it possible to fly online with that group only or Do I have to fly as part of the entire Vatsim network?Thanks for your helpKris

I noticed that on the ITVV Concorde DVD part 1 that when they aeroplane begins her takeoff roll the F/O announces on the radio "Speedbird One rolling" and the controller responds with "thankyou, winds XYZ at ABC." I've never heard anyone do this on VATSIM and daren't try it myself! :D Is this a correct procedure on VATSIM in the UK?

Hello!I've been having this very strange problems when trying to fly online in Vatsim.I connect, file the plan, contact the ATC, begin the flight... etc, the usual stuff.Then suddenly it just disconnects me and not only that, it also kills the active internet connection. I was a dial-up user until not too long ago, so I thought it was a problem of the modem I used that was known for having that sorts of problems and sudden disconnections (Intel 536EP was it).I switched to ADSL and I thought my Vatsim problems would be over, but I tried a flight and it would still disconnect me and kill the connection (I had to disable the connection and then enable it again for it to wor…

Geez this is driving me crazy. Bought the PC off of readysetpc.com (pro-gaming). Check out the specs there not to shabby. I have been having this problem for the past few days. Its like someone is pushing the restart button behind my back!!!! Searched the forums and did the usual like put a fan on the computer but it still restarted!! I couldnt believe it. Please if you can help me with this it would be appreciated so much!!

HiFor my VA, we use the 747-400F, which has been painted onto the Meljet Model, but, to make it flyable, I have chosen to use the ifly panel, to improve the realism, but :( I have had a problem, whenever I engage the autopilot, the plane is forced into a 90 degrees pitch up, has anyone else encountered this problem, Any help would be greatly appreaceated :)Thanx In AdvanceEwan

Hi,I am having a strange sound problem when I use SB3 and VATSIM with FS9.1what happens is the controllers all sound as if they are keying their mic constantly, like in one of those comedy films.if I press the Q key in FS, then I can hear them as normal, with no problems,but as soon as I press the Q key again, they all sound as if they are pressing their transmit on and off again, and all I get is broken transmissions.they have confirmed that I am coming through to them clear and un-broken,I have un-installed my sound card drivers, and re-installed them again, all my other drivers are current.I have also re-installed Win Media Player 10, as I heard that this can sometimes…

Hi - I'm going through the VATSIM setup and have read I need either Squawkbox or FSInn with AVC - However, I see I can install SB -and- AVC, and am not sure which combinations (or lack thereof) make sense or work best.Any guidance appreciated.thxAndrew

I have googled, yahooed, and everything else to find an answer, so far without success. Basically, here's the problem. I have FSINN set up and can access MP. I can also get onto the vatsim server. I see aircraft on radar. I can access an ATC within range. I can even hear ATC and other piliot communication transmissions. But, I cannot get ATCto hear me. It's very frustrating. If you know a way, please help...thanks...btw, I am using an older SB PCI 128 sound card which works fine when I use Teamspeak with my DCA buddies for MP flights on our DCA server. So, I know that I am set up for duplex transmission, but somewhere there is a hurdle in the FSINN software and sound link…

In trying to set up my headset microphone, I keep getting a message"there were problems setting up....." something to do with low levels / high background noise, and I get no audio in the recorded sample play back. This despite the fact that in the TeamSpeak software, the sound tests just fine. It's a high quality gaming headset, Plantronics GameCom Pro 1, so I don't think it's a quality issue. I have checked the mic levels in Windows Sound Recorder, etc...it's all working. But I have yet to try to contact a controller to do a 'radio check.' Perhaps I should try that? I am interested to find out what most people do to when they are looking for enroute charts . It is impossible to have every enroute chart on hand so what is the best ref ,for online enroute charts. Its great to explore the world but its tough to get all of the info required to fly ifr correctly I would love to hear from others on what they use as a resource.P

Good day all.I am new to Vatsim, and the other night I sat at Manchester as an observer and noticed that, as I am using Simflyers Manchester, the other aircraft were taxing on the grass and taking off on the grass, and parking up in the Terminal buildings.Is there a way to fix this?Many thanksDale.

I am having problems with SB3. I am using Win 2000Pro and it seems that when I start getting weather updates or Comm over 121.8 the view will revert back to a previous time and the screen will be split differently about the SB menu bar -hmmm . I mean that when you switch views the views will be two different ones about the SB3 menu bar, top and bottom. Anybody run into this and if so, is there any way to fix the issue?????thanksmike:
