Hello,To fly in VATSIM I here that you need fsinn or squawkbox to fly online. I tried to find downloads but cant find good ones.Can you guys post a link to a download for one of them.Thanks guys and I look forward to flying with you :(

Ok one of your lovely supervisors suspended me today...I was at my computer as I always am but never got a message...i run Windows 7 so I have to run squawkbox on the desktop which means I don't hear private messages or see scrolling texts in FSX. I was flying Luxembourg to Brazil which is about 12 hours flying time but I do remain at the computer for id say all but 15 mins of the flight...i run servinfo on my laptop to keep progress of my flight or if I can expect any atc...this is the second time they do this and it suppose to be a random check...bulls*** then why is it always me. I'm not a new user to Vatsim I've logged over a thousand hours easily and never a problem.…

My installation is as followsc: drive fsx , I have fsinn installede: fs9 I want to install fsinnEverytime I try to install fsinn on th second drive it removes it from the other drive.I am sure there is a way to do this but I cant get into the fsinn forum and i cant recall how to do itDoes anyone have any ideas. When I start up VATSIM, and everything gets connected, another aircraft appears in my exact location. I have tried several different gates, several different airports, and the same thing happens... Its not another player... Its like a shadow of my plane except its a totally seperate one. If I turn crashes on it will crash me when I start VATSIM. I am using FSINN and my aircraft is the Level D 767...ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

Hello Im not happy I have just purchased a new PC Windows 7 64 bit, I have installed vatspy and when I run i t I get the message: Vatspy has stopped working?I understand that in needs Microsoft . Net Framework 2 but I understand that Windows 7 has all versions up to 3.5?I have allowed it through the firewall but that doesnt help??any suggestions

ive been useing squawkbox 4, for about a month now (ive used it before thoue), i love being on Vatsim, and missed it when i wasent (witch is why i reinstalled squawk box) i know its in Beta. and has several bugs. but this problem is anoyingevery time i use it, at completly randome times. i right click to change views. and when i do i get "a fatel error occured" FSX re starts.im not 100% sure its a SB error, but i i havent really got this probblem in a long time, then it suddenly rears its ugly head after installing SB. ive read on the SB fourm about this issue, but all the post are from people saying they have it, no advice on how to fix it.i looked in the event viewer…

I have installed FSINN and the VIP AI traffic set. Trouble is my PC cannot see any VIP traffic. I have de-installed and re-installed, including the enabler and the VIP folder is in my FS9/aircraft/ folder with the model and texture files. I have tried re-sync etc but to no avail. I cannot even select the VIP traffic manually.I have FS Inn CFG. file with[FSINN=0]IGNORE=0VIP works fine on Squawkbox.Vista X64 HP.Any help greatly appreciated.Many thanksRoy H

I signed-up for vatsim, but have yet to download the software and use it. Just have a quick question in terms of controller coverage. I see a local aiport has someone online acting as ground control. Who then is acting as approach/tower/clnc del/departure for this airport? After talking to ground, who is he/she going to hand me off to?

Hi allNew to Vatsim.I have always flown in full screen mode with high res settings and full 4x AA. I notice when i connect to Vatsim (fullscreen) my AA disappears and everything appears 'jaggy'. How would I correct this? When i close Vatsim, all goes back to normal.thankserich

Hi,I've been using FSX about 18 months now and have logged almost 200 hours. Most of my time is in single engine GA aircraft and used to practice IFR procedures and approaches. I'd like to access a more realistic ATC environment and it sounds like VATSIM is an excellent choice for this.Does anyone have advice on how to best learn VATSIM? Is there an easy to use guide or video that I could download or purchase? I went to www.vatsim.net and saw the pilot guide. Is this the best route or are there some other options folks would recommend?Thanks

Ok,I added some AI to my aircrat directory.Then assigend it in Fsinn by clicking ->Advanced ->PLA ->Config -> assigning the aircraft ICAO and model.My question is:It takes hours, and I want to make a backup of it, wehre does it saved ??? at what file ??? directory ???Ittai.

Hi guys,With SIDS and STAR's being formal arrival and departure routes, does VATSIM allow a trainee IFR pilot to practice these procedures in the 'live' environment? Hey Everyone,I'm looking into using VATSIM since it seems to offer a great live-ATC experience for FSX.I do have some basic questions and would appreciate some questions from VATSIM users.1) For a long-haul flight (LAX-ZRH) does VATSIM offer flight following like in real-world flying?2) Does VATSIM offer IFR flight following?3) If I'm coming into LAX, for example, will VATSIM controllers give me vectors to final, clearance to land etc? Is there anyway to run RC as my ATC and still use Vatsim as my online for my ACARS since there is hardly any ATC's where I fly from IAH to TYS, EWR, CLE for Continental Express?

I have run into a small issue I recently picked up a new HP computer and it came with a Sound Blaster XFI Titanium sound card. Now my issue I am having is cannot figure out how on earth to get the microphone to work (I am using a Saitek Pro Flight headset with mic). My new PC is Windows Vista 64bit I am totally unfamiliar with the Vista platform. I am looking for some help with this issue I have a new HP PC that came with a Soundblaster X-FI I have a Saitek Pro Flight Head set. I installed FS2004 w/ SP1 I have finished installing Squawk Box I am trying to calibrate my mic on the headset and so far I am having no luck in getting it to work. The only setting I see for my mic is to turn it on but then the mic is live all of the time and the SB calibration test is not picking up any of my spoken commands if someone with the SB X-FI sound card could help that would be great.ThanksJohn

Why is there still AI traffic floating around when I connect to VATSIM, as I recall in the past, as soon as I would connect, the AI traffic would automatically disappear, the only changes I have made to my system is I have installed some World of AI packages and did a fresh install of fscopilot on my fsx machine, I have no problems getting online, must I turn off all AI in fsx, I never had to before, and will this cause a problem for controllers, will they see the AI aswell???
